So Many Puffins!

I couldn’t believe how many puffins we saw—all so close to Reykjavik, just outside the harbor. Despite the drizzly weather, we were able to get close to the island and see puffins and other shore birds closely—on land, flying overhead, and floating on the water near the boat. Loved it!

I had an excellent experience on the South Coast day bus tour. The itinerary was well organized, and the timing at each stop allowed enough opportunity to enjoy the attractions without feeling rushed. Skógafoss Waterfall: Skógafoss was breathtaking. The sheer size and power of the waterfall, combined with the mist and occasional rainbow, made it one of the highlights of the trip. The surrounding scenery was spectacular, and the walking paths provided great viewpoints. Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach: Reynisfjara was unlike any beach I have visited. The black volcanic sand, basalt columns, and dramatic sea stacks created an unforgettable landscape. The guide’s safety briefing about the powerful sneaker waves was very helpful and appreciated. Sólheimajökull Glacier: Visiting Sólheimajökull Glacier was a unique experience. Seeing the glacier up close and learning about its formation and the effects of climate change made the stop both beautiful and educational. The short walk to the glacier was well worth it. Seljalandsfoss Waterfall: Seljalandsfoss was another incredible destination. Being able to walk behind the waterfall offered a completely different perspective and made for memorable photos. It was a perfect way to end the tour. Overall, the bus was comfortable, the driver was professional, and the guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and informative throughout the journey. The tour was well paced, with beautiful scenery during the drive and excellent commentary about Iceland’s history, geology, and culture. I highly recommend this South Coast day tour to anyone visiting Iceland. It is an outstanding way to experience some of the country’s most iconic natural attractions in a single day.

WOW. We seriously...

WOW. We seriously wouldn’t have wanted to see the whales any other way! We kept seeing the larger boats further away while we were incredibly close to the whales—it was unbelievable. Watching these massive animals surface so close to us was something we’ll never forget. Our guide was just as excited every time we spotted a whale or dolphin, and that energy made the whole experience even more fun. You could tell they genuinely loved what they do! The boat was amazing, and the insulated suits they provided kept us warm and comfortable the entire time. If you’re even slightly on the fence or trying to choose between whale watching companies, BOOK THIS ONE. Seriously—you will not regret it. The smaller group made such a huge difference, and being able to get so close to the whales felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Very special trip we had a Whale of a time.

We travelled to the Amelia Rose by taxi from outside the cruise terminal, it cost 30 euros each way. The wet miserable weather did not spoil our excitement at the beautiful sight of humpback whales, minky whales and dolphins. We were just ven lucky enought to see a humpback with her calf close to the Amelia Rose. The yacht is a stunning sight to inside and out. The staff were amazing especially the young lady out doing all the spotting of the whales.

Once in a lifetime

Amazing once in a lifetime experience. We were so lucky to see all the species on offer, even some puffins. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about whales. She was very good at spotting and pointing out every whale. And on the journey back she gave a presentation about the different whale species, their anatomy and how we can help to prevent whaling. I had a bad bout of sea sickness while aboard and another staff member supplied me with ginger sweets which helped massively. Overall a very fun experience that I shall not forget.

Incredible trip!

I travelled with my mum on what was truly a bucket list trip for us both, and it exceeded every expectation! We had the wonderful Kristoph as our guide — an absolute professional (the man can drive!). The Icelandic weather can be unpredictable, but Kristoph handled every challenge with confidence, making us all feel completely safe. His knowledge and stories added so much to the magic of Iceland — as if it needed more magic! The tour covered so many iconic locations, each one breathtaking. Our group was fantastic and punctual, which even allowed us to make a couple of bonus stops along the way. The glacier hike with Ivo was another highlight. He took excellent care of everyone, guiding us safely through some thrilling ice formations,an experience we'll never forget. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. A huge thank you to Kristoph, Ivo, and the whole team for making this trip so special. It’s an experience my mum and I will treasure forever.
