This is a super convenient and efficient way to see some of the best sights of Iceland. We were picked up right on time at a bus stop close to where we were staying and were transported in a comfortable mini bus by our delightful and enthusiastic guide Arny. She provided interesting information about Iceland, details about each stop, even recommendations for dinner when we returned to Reykjavic. We had enough time at each stop. While friends suggested renting a car, this is so much better not having to figure out where to go and dealing with parking. We were able to sit back and enjoy the scenery along the way and then hop on and hop off.

Great Puffin Experience

We had an amazing time on the puffin boat tour! The guide was knowledgeable, funny, and very accommodating, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We learned so many fun facts about puffins and their habitat while getting to watch an entire colony playing, flying, and going in and out of their burrows. There was plenty of time to simply sit back and enjoy observing them in their natural environment without feeling rushed. Getting on and off the boat was very easy, and the boat itself was comfortable with both indoor and outdoor seating options, which was perfect depending on the weather and views you wanted. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and one of the highlights of our trip!

Exciting and highly informative

We chose this tour because it was highly rated and the shortest (fastest) of the whale watch activities we found. Our guide Alex (and driver Yoda) made a wonderful team. While we didn’t see whales, we saw harbor porpoises, birds including puffins, and white tipped dolphins. The information Alex provided about all the sea life, especially whales, was far and away more than I’ve ever learned before- and I’ve seen whales in the Azores and in Alaska. I was so impressed, I asked him if he was a zoologist or naturalist!! Yes, you bounce around a bit on this tour, and make sure you wear a hat and gloves (they provide those if you forgot). It takes a while to put on the waterproof coveralls, and they suggest you arrive 30 minutes before the tour to do that.

Very informative. Our guide was amazing! She was caring, well informed, and had a good sense of humor. She spoke throughout the tour - while also driving - about the history, language, geological features, and culture of Iceland. The bus ride was comfortable. Gullfoss waterfalls was my favorite — stunning and so worth it. We loved every bit of it. Doing this tour on the first day of our trip was a great idea as it helped us get oriented to the place and its people.

What an amazing...

What an amazing experience seeing the Minky whales. I will be definitely doing one of these again in the future to try and spot orcas in the wild and do the northern lights to on boat….. the only downside that I could see there is a family that got on with his disabled kid. It was okay getting him over the first ramp but couldn’t get to any of the decks because of the stairs so I just feel for them.

Incredible trip!

I travelled with my mum on what was truly a bucket list trip for us both, and it exceeded every expectation! We had the wonderful Kristoph as our guide — an absolute professional (the man can drive!). The Icelandic weather can be unpredictable, but Kristoph handled every challenge with confidence, making us all feel completely safe. His knowledge and stories added so much to the magic of Iceland — as if it needed more magic! The tour covered so many iconic locations, each one breathtaking. Our group was fantastic and punctual, which even allowed us to make a couple of bonus stops along the way. The glacier hike with Ivo was another highlight. He took excellent care of everyone, guiding us safely through some thrilling ice formations,an experience we'll never forget. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. A huge thank you to Kristoph, Ivo, and the whole team for making this trip so special. It’s an experience my mum and I will treasure forever.

Wonderful whale tour

The whales showed up and put on a show. “Sunset” whale tour in the summer is a little golden light, but it was beautiful. Let me tell you, we were so lucky. At first there was an issue with the boat/dock so after half an hour at we had to switch. I get it things happen, but we moved to a medium sized boat. Hopes weren’t too high, but I had hoped to see one to two whales. Timing was on our side because when we got to where we could see whales, we were given a treat. I didn’t think we were going to see much, but the whales came through and we saw them. One kept jumping out of the water and breaching. We also saw a mom and calf whale that we were told was rare to see together because normally they aren’t still together by the time they get to Iceland. One whale just kept slapping its fin on the water. What we saw was beyond my hopes and dreams so this tour was definitely worth it and was a great way to end my trip in Iceland!

Map shows a different location across the street, make you put “special tour” in google map before you go. Other than that, the tour was great. We were able to see multiple humpback whales. They offer free suits if you are cold. The ride was also comfortable with lots of space to sit 💺. The museum was a 10-12 mins walk away. Make sure you plan ahead.
