Itinerary

Choose a start time that works best for you, then travel independently to Reykjavik's domestic airport in advance of your flight.

Aftering meeting your experienced pilot and catching a short briefing, settle into your seat beside the pilot or in the row of seats behind.

As excitement builds, your helicopter takes to the skies and lets you gaze down over Reykjavik below, surrounded by magnificent mountains and the waters of Faxafloi Bay. Take in the awesome views as you swoop around Mt. Esja or another local mountain, and thrill as your helicopter soars upwards to the top before touching down on the flat summit.

Next, step out of your helicopter and take in the sweeping panoramas around you. Pose for photos and identify the different points of interest with help from your knowledgeable pilot. Then, climb back aboard and ascend into the skies again.

Experience the adrenaline rush as you fly over the edge of the summit, revealing the steep drop below, and then soar back over Reykjavik’s churches, rooftops, and colorful harborfront.

Your tour ends when you leave your helicopter and say goodbye to your pilot.

Fantastic adventure to volcano summit with amazing views of the geothermal reactors for power with the water coming out of the ground boiling. Truly amazing to see and touch the not boiling ones. Such a great trip on a beautiful clear day with perfect visibility.

We booked the helicopter tour for the sunrise, it was so beautiful. The pilot gave a commentary while flying about the landscape and history of the lakes and mountains/volcanos. Make sure you wrap up as the wind chills on the mountains were biting but well worth the cold for the amazing views.

Very welcoming staff, flight was exceptional it had been cancelled the day before due to weather, but was up headed to a liber flight the next day. MAX our pilot was wonderful pointed out and explained lots of things. Would highly recommend this trip

Amazing! Expensive but worth it! Thetr were 6 passengers in all in the helicopter. 2 in the front and 4 in the back. We choose the landing one so after a stop on the mountain we all switched over. There was no bad seats really you could see it all. The ride was amazing over land and sea with amazing views then when he went up the mountain and stopped that was something else! Views were something else.

A leisurely stroll of 20 minutes from downtown. Our pilot (Max) was chatty, knowledgeable and friendly. Staff at reception were just lovely. Overall, a very nice experience. The views? Wow! Get it booked.

This tour was truly one of the most magical moments on our Iceland trip. Max, our pilot was absolutely fantastic and provided informative knowledge on everything that we saw. thank you for your review. Please note the Reykjavik Summit tour is approx 15-20 minutes flight time, but with a landing of 15 minutes it's a 40-45 min total duration experience. It should be explained on the description of the tour. :)

This was amazing! The pilot was so calm and wonderful, due to that this was the first time for us flying helicopter. After just a few minutes the nerves was stable and the view is unforgetable so i would really recommend doing this a 100%! Dont let the nerves get to you, just do it and you Will have memories for life!!

Late and too short

I’m sad to say this was a disappointing experience, I had booked it as a surprise for me son and husband, we were told to be there at 10.30am for an 11am take off for a mountain landing and to see the city, it was supposed to be 45-60mins. We arrived on time, didn’t take off until 11.20 and were back by 11.50. I when we landed I felt rushed to get back in, we did get some nice pictures though. I did a helicopter tour with another company before and it was a longer experience, I was blown away. It was such shame as I was so excited for my son after my previous experience.

This was an amazing experience. To see parts of Iceland from above is beyond words. Of course it’s in the pricy range, but worth it. Landing on a summit, walking on the soil, and seeing sites otherwise not seen was incredible. I’ve been to Iceland 3 times now, this tour is a must for anyone who wants to see true beauty. The pilot was amazing. Provided information, answered all questions, and was skilled at handling the helicopter. Fear not, the pilot knows his job and does it with remarkable confidence. 5+ stars all around.

What an amazing trip this was, this was the icing on the cake. We booked this trip and due to weather (well it’s Iceland I. The winter!) it was rescheduled- I can honestly say the guys there were so helpful in trying to accommodate an alternative day. The trip it’s self was breathtaking- with spectacular views, I actually got emotional. Our pilot was informative, really nice and settled my any worries I had- even warned me when he was banking. The tour itself was ok at best, but for the price it is a little too short, was honestly expecting more air time. We got 10 minutes on the way to the mountain, 10 minutes flat time and another 10 minutes on the way back

Lovely looking helicopter, pilot was very professional, the ride was nice and smooth. Landed on the summit and had a good look round for 20 odd mins. Only one suggestion, maybe the pilot should fly over the 2-3 main tourist attractions.

What an awesome experience! We made a reservation months ago, not knowing the volcano would errupt and give us fabulous helicopter ride of our lives over it! Couldn't ask for a better pilot, more accomodating service from the office as I tried to plan this pretour of another company. Was totally worth the extra day in Iceland!!!

The best highlight of my trip to Iceland were the helicopter tours. The pilot was very friendly and engaging from the start explaining everything we were seeing and made flying even more fun. The stop at the top of the mountain was stunning and he made sure we were satisfied with the photo taking before taking off.
