It was a very nice tour....

It was a very nice tour. The driver (guide) was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and local culture. He told us interesting stories. Although it was raining and foggy, and we couldn't see the 11 hairpin road, we still had a lot to see on that day.

Our guide Elissa was excellent. We arrived by ship and the storefront was just a short walk away from the cruise terminal (not very far from where you pop out from the tunnel under the street). Heed the other reviews - the hike is moderately strenuous but well worth the effort and the views.

Excellent day on the Troll Road !

Great tour - I had opted for the version without lunch, and it worked well as we had more time at the viewing site for the troll road. The tour guide was very good, and the timing wasn't rushed as we went to each place. We even had time at the end for an "extra" tour of downtown which was very informative and was appreciated. I recommend this tour for anyone trying to get as much in as you can in the one day you're in Alesund.

Highly advisable, Ålesund essentials in one pleasant trip

An excellent idea to see the main points of interest in the beautiful Ålesund. The itinerary was smart and complete, the van very comfortable and Rolf, our guide and driver (excellent, thank you, I'm prone to carsickness), has been very good at sharing with us plenty of historical and architectural information. GREAt fun!

GREAT experience. Had hoped to see puffins, but weather didn’t allow going to where they were. We did see some other birds, deer, and harbor seals. The waterproof thermal suits are quite warm, even with the wind from the fast boat I wasn’t a bit cold. The RIB boat ride is SO much fun and our pilot/guide was great. The ride, especially at high speed, is bumpy, but the seats are on springs that buffer a lot of the jolt. These are not regular seats, you are seated as if on a motorcycle (or horse, if that sounds better). I don’t have long legs and it was still easy to have my feet planted flat on the deck of the boat. Even if we hadn’t seen a single animal, the boat ride itself is so much fun it would have been worth the trip!

Just Amazing!!

This was the absolute best tour! Rolf was friendly, funny, and clearly has a deep love for his country and what he does. We learned so much from him and stopped at so many spots to explore. When I realized that I booked a tour that drove down the mountain on the Trollstigen hairpin turns, I was a bit nervous but Rolf is a fantastic driver and I never felt scared once. Our family loved everything about this tour, appreciated the bagged lunch (he even took care of our gluten free family member), and the Norwegian ice cream is the best in the world. Thank you so much and best of luck on your future plans, Rolf!

Your guide speaks very clearly, is accommodating to your needs, we had to walk slow at times. He is very knowledgeable of the city. We covered many different areas of interest and views. Feeling very tiny

What a great way to feel the full effects of the Fjord and see the waterfalls. It really gave us a perspective on how huge the mountains are and how tiny we really are. The staff were wonderful and helpful. I had so much fear agreeing to do this event but I was very pleasantly surprised. No one got wet and I didn’t tip over.

The food walking tour was a wonderful way to experience some of the unique flavors of Norway and history of Ålesund. Monica was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Since she is a local, she had some personal experiences that she shared which were fascinating. She knew the history of the families and the buildings where we stopped for tasting. All the food was delicious and it was a very easy walk. We definitely recommend this tour.
