In the early morning, board an air-conditioned vehicle destined for the rolling hills of the Douro Valley. During the scenic drive, your guide provides commentary and details the day ahead.
Your first stop is Peso da Régua, a sprawling riverside town famed for its production of port wine.
Throughout the day, visit areas that show you the potential that the region has. Stop for a typical Portuguese lunch that includes three amazing dishes to choose from (fish, meat, or vegetarian).
Sated, board a boat and enjoy a river cruise down the Douro; delight in your beautiful surroundings before you return to the coach and travel to another viewpoint to capture sweeping panoramas of the landscape.
Stop at a beautiful viewpoint before returning to your Porto hotel and bid your guide farewell.

Had a great time and had so much fun meeting new people! Igor was a great tour guide and kept the energy up with great music and history. Just a warning to others - the valley is very hot and there is a steep climb at one of the vineyards. Overall a fun time even solo!

Catarina and our driver Luis were lots of fun. After 2 tastings, wine at lunch and a boozy boat cruise the ride back singing to Luis’ playlist was a blast.

We had a lovely day. There were 21 in our group but our guide was very friendly and made the effort to speak to everyone individually. The driving was great and felt very safe. The Douro valley is very beautiful and we learned a lot of information in a fun way.

The tour guide spoke English well. My problem was that I could not understand the name of the cities he was mentioning. I wish he had some written itinerary or comments of the names of the city, then it would be easier to follow

Our tour guide Igor was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining on our bus ride throughout the Douro Valley. The bus karaoke was a highlight :) Highly recommend this tour- amazing to see the Duoro valley with its wineries and tastings, as well as the views and experiences of driving the little winding roads to our locations.

The boat ride was disappointing,no commentary and crowded.

Enjoyed it very much, highly recommend it. Boat ride was very fun to have. Learned the differences in Porto (white/Tawny and Ruby). Lunch was good as well with non stop refills.

A very enjoyable day. Our guide Igor and driver Paulo made it a lot of fun with no problems on the road. Igor made the long drive a bit of fun.
We enjoyed tasting some good port wine, had a nice lunch and really liked the boat ride on the river.
It does get to be a long day and seems like it could be made a little shorter, with some effort condensing the morning bus bathroom stop and lunch timing.

It’s a long day, but it covers all the bases.
The last stop was more of a wine shop and less of a winery, which I was a little disappointed by.
The river cruise was nice, but not on traditional boats and didn’t involve any educational information.

This tour was perfect for me to get a taste of the Douro Valley for the whole day. We went to some two wonderful wineries with great knowledgeable hosts and great porto! Lunch was tasty and authentically Portuguese at the first winery. The river cruise along the Douro was beautiful - a great way to end the tour before going back to Porto. This trip was really enjoyable due to the tour guide Ricardo. He was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. Red and white wine was included with the lunch, which was very nice and then the various readings of port added to the tour. Highly recommended.

My friend and I had the best time! Everything was so well planned, from the bus ride to the wine tours, lunch, and the boat ride. Our tour guide was so sweet and made the whole day even more fun. She had everyone pick their favorite song and made a playlist that we listened to on the bus all day, which was such a fun touch. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fun day trip!

Our Douro Valley Tour was wonderful. Luis was the perfect tour guide, very knowledgeable and with a great sense of humor. The bus driver was also great keeping us safe all along the way there and back. We stopped at two different wineries, tasted many different ports, and the lunch was delicious with several choices of entrée. The weather was perfect as it can usually get very hot in the valley. It is a long day but well worth it. Great value for the money!💜

Amazing trip to Douro valley, it’s one of the highlights of our 2 week trip. Our guide Mia was fantastic. She gave a lot of information and spoke perfect English. Our driver whose name started with M was also great. It’s not easy driving those roads. The day goes by fast, don’t be scared about the 10 hr day. Lunch was delicious, you get to drink a lot of wine in this trip. Beautiful scenery, and you get to go one a boat ride too. Don’t miss the chance of doing this day tour.

Do not be put off by the 10 hour day for this trip. The time goes very quickly! Each place you visit is well worth it. There was plenty of wine to taste and the lunch was very nice too.
Our tour guide was Milena, she was brilliant, very engaging, entertaining and knowledgeable. It was my friends 50th birthday and she really made it a special day for her. Thanks Milena!!

Dress lightly if you’re doing the tour in summer! It’s hotter in the valley than in Porto. Also, be prepared for climbing up and down some steep stairs.
You’ll be lucky if you get the same tour guide we had—Mia. She was great and fluent in English. Our bus driver ( name also starts with an M I think) was also good.

My partner and I took this tour during our stay in Porto, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Miguel was an exceptional guide from start to finish. During the roughly hour-and-a-half drive to the Douro Valley, he kept everyone engaged by sharing his extensive knowledge of Portuguese wines and his genuine passion for the region. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and did a great job setting expectations for the day while making everyone feel comfortable.
The Douro Valley itself is absolutely breathtaking—it’s the kind of place that looks like it’s straight out of a painting. The itinerary was well thought out, giving us plenty of opportunities to take in the scenery while enjoying some excellent wine tastings, which naturally focused more on Port wines. The included lunch was also delicious. I’d also like to give a shoutout to our bus driver, who skillfully navigated the large coach bus along the valley’s narrow, winding roads. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Porto.
