We had the best time on this tour. Our tour guide Leo was incredible! We had a fun group, but he definitely knew how to make things even more fun and was so friendly and knowledgeable! The area was beautiful, the wines amazing and the food was delicious. I can't recommend this tour enough!

Our day was one of the best I've had in Portugal. Our guide, Alex, paced the day wonderfully and answered all of our questions thoughfully. I felt taken around like family. The wine was delicious, the views astounding, and the hospitality across the board was unmatched. An overall excellent day!

Fun and memorable experience! Bruno was a great driver and guide for our Douro Valley. We went to two smaller vineyards for tastings and pairings and did a river cruise on an electric boat. Overall, we would recommend this tour if you want a private, small and more exclusive experience!

Very nice guide and two very nice wineries. Even boat guy was great. But it is not what I thought it would be. We didn't eat lunch until 3:30pm and I would do that differently. two glasses of wine by then. and we did a lot of driving and only 45 minutes on the boat. I vote for a boat ride from one place to another and the van picks us up downstream. Overall it was slow and we could have easily had an other winery in the day.

The small group made it easy to make
friends even if you travel solo. The wineries were beautiful, the staffs friendly and knowledgable. There is a lovely hearty lunch and a few culinary surprises that made it even more fun!

This tour was a fantastic day trip from Porto. Joao was a great guide and took us to a variety of vineyards that gave a good feel for the wines and ports of the regions. Everyone we met was welcoming, warm, and very informative. Due to weather, we weren’t able to do the boat ride, which was a disappointment but not their fault. They made up for it with an extra vineyard. Overall, this was a great way to spend a day.

Wow!!!! What an amazing tour of the Douro Valley. Our tour guide Louis was awesome. He was so knowledgeable about everything and made the tour perfect. It was great to see all of the ways the wines are made and the tastings were great. Make sure to book whenever you are going to Porto. We will absolutely do it again the next time we visit!!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. Joao was a great guide and the landscape was incredible. Due to weather, the boat portion wasn't possible, but they added an extra winery tour/tasting. The 3 wineries that we visited were very well chosen, each one quite different from the other, with great hosts. The Douro Valley is a unique landscape that shouldn't be missed.

The Duoro Valley is special. It’s a beautiful, hardy region with incredible wine, and BL Heritage was the perfect company to visit with. They take small groups, so it’s not a cattle call experience. I was lucky enough to get an awesome group of people I genuinely enjoyed spending time with. BL Heritage picks smaller wineries that feel more homegrown and intimate. They also made sure we skipped the boat ride because it was too dangerous from the recent floods. Our guide, Joao, was so knowledgeable and personable. If you’re on the fence about spending a day in the Duoro Valley, don’t be!! You won’t regret it.

I have been on wine tours around the globe, and this was my favorite. The guide was relaxed and knowledgeable. The vineyards we went to were very special and I learned a lot from the winemakers. I appreciated that the boat was electric, so it was a peaceful outing on the water. They also had tasty snacks. All the wines were great and the lunch was delicious. I never felt rushed or pressured. It was so nice to not feel like it was a cattle call, as on so many of these types of tours, you feel like you need to move on so the next group can come in. This was private and carefully tailored to create a memorable experience. I would recommend this outfit and this tour to anyone.

Cannot recommend this tour with Leandro enough! A friend of mine had gone on this experience on a trip a year prior to mine, and said that this was the one thing we could absolutely not miss out on, and I’m so glad she did as I could not agree more!
This day trip was the perfect blend of history, personal connection, delicious food, wine, and scenery. I felt like I really got to know the area and the people and really appreciated how Leandro and his team went above and beyond to make the entire day fantastic.
I also have celiac disease, and was amazed how they were able to accommodate me throughout the day. We had some snacks on the boat portion of the trip, and they even got gluten free bread to put on my own charcuterie board so it was safe and separate from the rest of the groups! The group meal also provided me with my own oil to dip my GF bread in, and I felt very safe enjoying the day the whole time.
Will definitely recommend this experience to any friends and family visiting Porto/Portugal and hope to one day go back again!

Loved this. Douro Valley was hour half drive through gorgeous views. Local wineries were so generous with their tours and pours! Boat ride was beautiful and serene. Lunch was delicious ! Learned so much about Portuguese Wines !

We absolutely loved this day trip into the Douro valley!!! A true highlight of our trip and an absolute MUST DO if you go to Porto! Zach was so friendly and knowledgeable and he helped us all open up and get to know each other as well as provided really interesting historical anecdotes along the way. We loved that the tour focused on supporting smaller wineries and thoroughly enjoyed our stop at Quinta de Foz. The boat tour was fun as well and it was nice to get a quick snack between drink stops. The lunch was delicious and the second set of wines really good too. All around a great experience and we would recommend this to our friends and family any day!!

I'm not a huge fan of all-day excursions because I'm always afraid if it isn't great then I will have missed out on a whole day that I could have been doing something else... But this all-day tour was absolutely fantastic. Our tour was in November, and we lucked out with no rain, but it was very chilly! Despite this, the tour was still fabulous. This was 100% because of our guide, Leo. If you can request him, do so. He struck such a good balance of giving us information and perspective, while keeping things light and fun. We all agreed that Leo was just one of those rare gems who feels like an instant friend, and we were sad to leave him at the end of the day! As if Leo wasn't enough, the wine tour was also top-notch (we all appreciated that we visited a small family winery rather than a huge operation), our lunch was the best meal on the trip, the scenery was gorgeous (grape leave were fall colors - green, yellow, orange, red) and we also loved Raphael who joined us as a guide on the boat. I would imagine this tour would be off-the-charts beautiful in a warmer month (though August is too hot, according to Leo!). Definitely worth every penny. Ask for Leo!!!

Our day in the Douro Valley with Bruno was absolute perfection. From the start, he guided us through a wine tasting and tour at Quinta de Foz, sharing his knowledge with warmth and enthusiasm.
The highlight was an incredible four‑course lunch prepared by a private chef, paired with four outstanding wines, all enjoyed in the intimate setting of a private winery house. It felt like a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience.
As if that wasn’t enough, the afternoon continued with an electric boat ride along the river — complete with more wine — offering breathtaking views and a sense of pure relaxation.
Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and Bruno made sure we felt completely pampered throughout the day. It was not just a tour, but a truly indulgent experience that we’ll never forget.

We had an amazing day on the tour. Selection of wineries was great - both were high quality and the staff knowledgeable and passionate. Lunch was so much more than we expected and delicious. Boat tour was also special. The small group was key - 8 was a great number. And perhaps best part was our guide, who took the time to get to know all the guests and made every effort to make the trip memorable.

Our driver was fantastic! He was thoughtful and knowledgeable. Boat tour was great. The tour guide on the boat shared fun facts and made us a fantastic drink with yummy snacks. The two wineries showed us different parts of the wine making process which was very cool. Lunch was so delicious. Cannot recommend this tour enough! Views for days too!

We had the best time on this wine trip! Rita was our guide. She was absolutely lovely, very knowledgeable about the topic and extremely easy to talk to. She took us to gorgeous lookout points throughout the drive and the wineries we stopped in felt more intimate and unique than the bigger ones. The lunch was so absolutely delicious! May be the best Portuguese food I had on the whole trip! We also had perfect weather for our boat ride down through the Douro Valley! It was absolutely stunning!
We would highly recommend this excursion! It’s a MUST if you’re visiting Porto!

This was a wonderful tour in the beautiful Douro valley. What a fantastic day out of the city. It was informative, fun, and overall fantastic!! Notably and importantly, huge credit has to go to Leonardo (Leo), our tour guide. Leo is knowledgeable and professional, and moreover skilled in the art of bringing people together, creating an easy going atmosphere, and facilitating a fun group dynamic. He also made sure that we were safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. He’s a fantastic driver too, even on a rainy day. Kudos to Leo!! He is the best.
Also high praise to Raphael on the boat/river cruise. So fun!
Finally, it is critical to note that the food and drink that we tried at every stop was delicious, including the outstanding lunch at the second beautiful vineyard (Carlos at that vineyard was fantastic, too!).. We absolutely purchased some of the items we tried on the tour, i.e., the olive oils and wines.
Overall, while a bit on the pricey side, this tour was well worth it. And Leo the tour guide made it Top Tier!!!

If I could give this experience more than 5 stars I would! Leo was our guide and he was the absolute best, so knowledgeable and personable. He truly just felt like a really good friend. I loved the smaller group because it really allowed us to get to know the other people on the trip. We all walked away feeling like we made some really meaningful connections. The wineries we visited were so beautiful and intimate and the lunch provided at the second winery was out of this world delicious. The boat ride along the Douro River was so peaceful and a great way to break up the winery visit. Rafael joined us for the boat tour as a second guide and again, he was just so amazing and personable. Every single person we interacted with was so nice and treated us like family. I would 1000% recommend anyone and everyone to book this tour if they’re around Porto. You will not be disappointed!

What an absolutely incredible experience, from start to finish. Our guide, Sé, was the best - super friendly and knowledgable about Portugal, he ensured that we had an amazing time. Both of the wineries we visited were top notch and the boat tour was so peaceful and relaxing.
