Great experience and very organized. Tour guide was great and very informational. Loved the towns but just a warning…lots of uphill walking and stairs at the two palaces. Older people in our group couldn’t do it and had to sit out. Beautiful and so glad we went.

Paulo was very knowledgeable about Lisbon as well as Portugal. He took us to several memorable sites where we were able to see beautiful parts of the city. We loved hearing about the history and culture of the area. I highly recommend this tour. It was especially nice being in a roomy, air conditioned van on a hot summer day.

Our guide Diogo was knowledgeable and so calm navigating the streets of Lisbon. We landed in the am and decided to keep moving on our first day in Portugal so we could adjust to the time zone. What an amazing 4 hours with such great insight from our guide. This was the perfect setting to see the city, get an understanding of the history of Lisbon and the variety of neighborhoods. It was also great for staying cool in between stops. What a great afternoon!

When we signed up for “Portuguese For a Day Tours,” we heard it was the best tour company in all of Portugal; but we didn’t know the company would live up to their title and make it a reality for us. The moment our tour guide Filipa Loulé arrived, it was immediately clear to us that we were in good hands. She greeted us like family and cared for us in similar fashion. For the next eight hours–no matter where our six-member group originated–we were Portuguese for a day. Filipa made sure of it. We drove up to Sintra and began our tour at Pena Palace and Regaleira. Due to the microclimates, it was a little cooler at the palace grounds in the morning than it was near our hotel; but, of course, Filipa was prepared with fresh windbreakers for each of us. That’s an example of the detailed level of care she provided, and it only grew from there. She is a wealth of information including the sites, the history, and–equally important to us–the best places and foods to eat. Her “Mama Bear” approach ensured that no obstacles stood in our way. The only thing Filipa couldn’t control was the weather; but it too must have been paying attention, because the day quickly warmed up for us. There are many tours for Sintra, Pena Palace and Regaleira (we saw them in our dust); but if fun, knowledge, delicious local food, and world-class experience are your goal, you need to sign up with “Portuguese For a Day Tours.” Filipa and her carefully curated dream team don’t know how to disappoint.

We booked a 3 hour Tuk Tuk with Boost Portugal and Will was our driver. It was a great experience. We got an overview of the city with enough time at stops to explore. Will was very thoughtful in pointing out great places to shop and eat as well as a great overview of the history of Lisbon. We would highly recommend him.

Well what fun we had on here. Pedro and The Captain were very entertaining and enthusiastic throughout the whole trip. It was a really great experience despite choosing a cold, wet day to do this. Definitely recommend this if you want a nice relaxed, spacious, seated view of the streets of Lisbon. Other tours have been packed in like a literal sardine and views, zero. The trip up the Tagus,to see the tower and monument at Belem was wonderful . So nice to see it towards land for a change.

Luis was an exceptional guide. He is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about Lisbon and Portugal’s history. Every stop was interesting and well explained, and we learned so much about the culture along the way. The tour was very well organized and efficient, and it truly became the highlight of our Lisbon trip. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisbon.
