What are people saying about France

This is a must do when in Paris!
What a fun way to spend a couple of hours. If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes in a French bakery, this is your chance to see it and learn to make French pastries and bread!
David was our instructor and he was fantastic! He provided lots of humor as he gently coached us through the steps for preparing madeleines, croissants and bread.
The day started with the proprietor of the bakery lavishing us with pastries and cappuccinos (or hot chocolate) as we waited for the lesson to begin. Delicious! We then moved through the many levels inside the building where David provided a really enjoyable experience! He was the best. I highly recommend this one and I definitely recommend David! We had an amazing time!

Cooking in the hills above Nice
We really enjoyed this experience! Participating in preparing the meal was so fun. Everything was well planned and orchestrated for a successful outcome. Meeting other travelers was great, and the lovely chef was engaging and masterful. And the dinner? Best on our trip!

Guillaume was awesome!!
We spent a magical day making croissants in your class and had a wonderful time. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it and so did the rest of the group. Our chef Guillaume was amazing and we would come back and recommend this again and again. Thank you again for a wonderful class.

An evening of laughter, food, and wine than can’t be beat!
Loved this experience and our chef, Paolo is beyond excellent. I was solo the first 2 days of my trip and thought this would be a fun experience and it totally was. I was solo, but there was a family and a couple who also joined in the fun. We learned to make a 3 course meal. In our class it was cauliflower & fennel soup, coco vin, and poached pears dipped in chocolate. Chef Paolo showed us many tips/tricks and broke things down so as not to be intimidated by these seemingly intimidating dishes. Team work, conversation, laughter, and a wee bit of wine! Time flew by and I was not ready to leave after our dinner. Would 100% recommend this to any and all, no cooking experience required.

Fun macaron class for families.
Thus class was so fun, so engaging, and the kids just loved it. The teacher was patient with my very busy/inattentive kids and got their attention quickly and effectively. Our teachers also gave us an awesome restaurant rec for lunch afterward that turned out to be, unexpectedly, the best meal of our trip.

Excellent, Instructional and Fun
Excellent wine experience! We learned a lot about the various regions near Lyon, the types of wines made in each region, the flavor profiles of the wines, and things to look for when buying wines.
In addition to all of the information, our guide was fun, personable, and charismatic. The wines we tried were excellent and the charcuterie was great. Definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to learn more about wine and meet some other travelers along the way.

A well put together,...
A well put together, great class. It was a lot of fun with our instructor, and a good mix of getting to be creative within the directions and guard rails to ensure that we all were able to successfully make macarons. Even if you have made macarons before, this class is still worth going to!

Don’t think, just Buy
Worth every penny. If you’re on the fence about doing this cooking class, let this review alleviate any concerns. This was hands down one of the best activities that we did in Paris and one of the best cooking classes I’ve ever taken (and that’s said by someone who always takes cooking classes when they travel).
The entire experience was fun, rewarding, and I learned a lot about the science of cooking. Frederick was our host and chef and he was incredible - knowledgeable, funny, warm, and knows how to make everyone feel included.
Recommendation 1 is to take the full class with the market tour, it makes the cooking class that much more enjoyable. Recommendation 2 is to not schedule a nice dinner later in the evening when you take this class because you will be full the rest of the day.
Potential concerns: allergies / food dislikes. Don’t worry, the chef will ask and take any and all concerns into consideration. They went to the nearby market and bought toasted almond milk to substitute for cream when someone in our group was dairy free. Insanely accommodating.
All this to say - buy this class, fit it into your Paris schedule, you will not be disappointed.

Must do!
The bakery tour was a highlight of the trip. Informative, interesting and hands on. The baker we observed was friendly and informative. Our guide, Yeju, was great! She made sure everyone had an opportunity to try everything, kept the tour on track and was funny, informative and kind. Highly recommend.

Great family friendly experience with excellent host.
Meeting point for the tour is a bit confusing at first but it’s really fine once you figure it out. The meeting point is near a metro station and you take a short walking tour toward Alex’s restaurant. It’s actually really nice to see the neighborhood but just know you will be outside for the first 15 minutes or so and do some walking and standing outside. Overall, this is an excellent experience. It’s family friendly and you will enjoy a fair amount of wine and cheese. Alex is outstanding! Be ready to interact and have fun with your group. I DON’T recommend doing this tour right after you get off the plane from the USA as some people do. You will want to be rested so you can enjoy this to the fullest.

Fun pastry class in Lyon France
This was such a fun pastry making experience. Terry has a way of teaching that made even the most novice baker very comfortable. He was entertaining and very knowledgeable. I would take other classes with him. He really made it a very rewarding experience.

A very moving experience
A day filled with much sadness and pride. Heniere was an extremely knowledgeable tour guide and provided extensive information of the events which lead to WWI. So many Australians lost their lives to ensure our freedom that many take for granted. It is difficult to believe that this beautiful landscape and surroundings of The Somme were once the scene of such utter bloodshed and unbelievable loss of so many human lives.
