This was a waste of time and money.
1. This was stated as offered in English but I found that the French that was spoken before the English translation seemed much more thorough than what was relayed in English. Instructions were not clear and the other person in my party messed up their chocolate creation because of this.
2. Our chocolate "chef", Chaid? Chare? Chald? Chair? Who knows? She was terrible. She was not helpful in any way whatsoever and did not seem to care about having a fun experience at all. She seemed more interested in getting the whole thing over with so she could go hang out with her friends at the check in desk.
3. There were 10 people in our session (our party included). There were only 2 vats of chocolate (1 milk & 1 dark) that we all had to share and maneuver around despite there being an entire room that we could have been spread out w/ multiple vats available. I'm not sure if this was just part and parcel for the workshop or she was just being lazy and not wanting to clean extra.
4. When the other person in my party messed up their chocolate creation, there was no help from our chocolate chef to find a solution. Instead, chocolate chef chair/chare/chauld moved onto the next activity. Again, did not care at all if we were having a good experience or not.
5. This is not really making chocolate so much as it is just dipping stuff in chocolate. Did not learn a single thing.
6. The toppings weren't spaced out or proportioned out for the number of people in the workshop. It was also not clear what all the toppings were since again, our chocolate chef chair/chare/chauld rushed through the English explanation and did not care when we asked.
Overall, don't waste your time or money.

This was very rushed and honestly could be done so much better. This is less about chocolate making and more making a few treats. Would recommend for people with kids who are looking for something easy to do. Chef was very nice and switched back and forth between English and French. Would like to do again only if they made it a longer class teaching more skills.

it is almost like doing fondue. dip a marshmallow, a chocolate, a orange peel and a small chocolate bar. The museum was lacking. I have been to better and The lady leading the class wasn't engaging.
Was disappointed. Sorry.

My son and husband really enjoyed this activity and got lots of chocolate and an apron as souvenirs!

Fun and delightful activity in the heart of Paris , we left with the most delicious chocolates and memories . Highly recommend especially for families with kids looking for some indoor , magical and memorable experiences in Paris .

Took my 9 year old daughter here and she absolutely loved it.
You get to make a series of different chocolates (dipping marshmallows, chocolate bars, etc).
It’s a great kids activity in Paris.

So fun!! 10/10 recommend to do something fun like this. Made great memories!
The chef was so nice and the chocolate was delicious!

Do not visit this museum and chocolate workshop! The person leading the workshop manhandled my seven-year-old daughter. He aggressively grabbed her and yanked her around when she wasn't sitting on the stool as he wanted. We were in shock and, had we had our wits about us, would have called the police immediately. When we told him to keep his hands off our child, he was dismissive and rude, as was the entire museum staff. Consider this a warning. DO NOT BRING KIDS HERE!

The location was nice. The entry staff was great. The chocolate part of the experience was not that great. The lady was rude, pushy, and gave the kids a stare when they made a mess (even though it’s advertised for them). The toppings weren’t great and they were not spaced out proportionally for everyone to have access to them. You had to go around constantly to get the chocolate or toppings. The lady was very pushy to get it over it which I didn’t like.

This was more a chocolate dipping than chocolate making class. There was so explanation on how chocolate is made etc. Not at all what we expected. Our kids liked it though

This is an experience I would skip because of the person who was guiding us. The workshop chef was rude and very unprofessional. We are adults with children and is treating us unkindly. He was annoyed from the start and insulting in his commentary. I would not recommend this at all to anyone. There were others in the experience with us who also felt his negativity. We are on vacation, paying for an experience so the expectation is to have fun with someone who wants to be part of our experience.

Great experience and really well priced. Get to take lots of lovely chocs home too. Easy to get there by metro - just opposite Bonne Nouvelle station.

Our son enjoyed it that is why I’m giving it 4 stars. Like some other people said, this is more of dipping chocolate instead of making chocolate. My husband was frustrated because our chef provided more instruction and details to the people who spoke French than those that spoke English. Wish there had been more toppings to choose from. I would not do this tour again.

Excellent experience. The museum was interesting. The workshop was fun. The communication from Viator was poor. We waited outside until 10 minutes after our allotted time but no guide appeared. We made our way into the venue and we missed our slot.
When you arrive just go straight in!

The workshop was great. We had a wonderful time. It was great for all ages over their minimum age of 6. My 6year old, 15 year old and 20 year old all loved it. (I didn’t realize my 2 year old wouldn’t be allowed in the room at all). We made covered marshmallows on a stick, nuggets and orange dipped sticks as well as white, milk and dark chocolate bars. Highly recommend.
PAUL_Z, Jan 2024
It wasn’t what we expected.. felt like we were just on an assembly line with no personal experience or attention at all
Patricia_N, Aug 2023
Enjoyed the chocolate story. Also enjoyed the experience dipping chocolate and make chocolate bars and the chocolate was amazing!
Rosalind_C, Jun 2023
A lovely workshop to take a break from lots if walking round Paris. More of a decorate your chocolate than make the chocolate, but fun all the same and the chocolate is lovely. The museum is also very interesting with some amazing models.
Kea_W, May 2023
We had the best time with Stephan and the chocolate decorating. The treats are tasty and he was super patient.
KenDavis_D, Apr 2023
Fair experience, and expensive for what you got. And there were very minimal choices to choose from to add to your chocolate. Ie sprinkles, different nuts!
Lydia_P, Jan 2023
Very bad experinece for us
If you’re 5 minutes late, you’re not allowed in, even though we paid. Pathetic
tania_d, Jan 2023
My son wasn’t empressed with experience it was more like a “let’s dip Things in chocolate.” The guy assisting was very nice and spoke French and English.. the woman at the reception also spoke English but we found she catered more to those who spoke French. My son saw her giving attention to other children giving out chocolate lollipops offering hot chocolate drinks and being quite kind to some but when he spoke to her she was quite rude. It was obvious she dislike Americans!! Americans beware!!! When I asked for her name she refused to give and told me my son interrupted her. I was by his side she honestly just couldn’t care less about us.. we Left feeling frustrated and could feel her energy as we left.. my son said, “mom that woman is still
Staring at us.. he felt uncomfortable and quite honestly so did I!
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Dear Ms,
I’m the museum Front Office Manager.
There are often 2 sides to a story, therefore I watched our CCTV system, and here are my observations :
- Your son, not accompanied by an adult, interrupted twice the receptionist while she was talking to other customers, she politely asked him to wait every time he did
- A second time, not accompanied by an adult, he asked for a second tasting box (one is offered with the visit), she kindly offered him one for free. He asked for two extra boxes, she didn’t accept and she explained why.
- Hot chocolates are given to visitors who bought this option, and you can always ask our vendor to buy one ; but there your son thought she was "offering" them.
-At the end of the visit, children may have a lollipop if they reclaim it with their games booklet, which your son never did
I didn’t notice any favoritism to other customers, she dealt with everybody and she was very polite with your son.
But I assume that your son was probably confused by a situation he didn't understand and no adult with him to explain it to him.
The receptionist felt sincerely quite unconfortable too, threatening her didn't help.
Best regards,
Alice

Very good class if visiting Paris with young kids. Our son really enjoyed the chocolate making and was good length of time for his age. Definitely would recommend plus you get yo take yhe chocolate home with you to enjoy.
Rama_S, Jun 2022
The Chef was wonderful, so patient. The experience was so much fun and we learned so much. The museum was very interesting as well
Osama_D, May 2022
The chocolate is already melted all you do is dip marshmallows oranges and a piece of chocolate
Then make your bar by adding melted chocolate to it
I’d say more for kids than adults
Don’t expect a lot
Hadi_T, Apr 2022
Very nice experience, staff are great and accomodating.
Workshop is fun and quick, dont expect to learn chocolate making from scratch, it more about creative fun decorating chocolates, but you might pick up a couple of interesting facts and learn a few things.
Barbara_H, Feb 2022
Fun experience to do while in Paris. The learning the history of chocolate as well as getting to make your own candy.

We booked the workshop as part of our 30th wedding anniversary. It was a great thing to do, we made yummy chocolate bars and got to keep the moulds so that we could try it at home. Thank you
