Jérôme was amazing! He brought out a map and taught me a bit of history of the wine in the country. He let me try red and white wine! He made sure that they were very different in taste to give me a full experience. The cured meats, cheeses, and bread was fresh! He too taught me how to pair these with wines! He is very knowledgeable and impressive. I definitely bought a bottle at the end!!! He was awesome and will definitely recommend you all attend! He is so passionate about wines!

We had a great time here and we were very pleased that we were able to reschedule to another date easily. The wines were very nice and the hosts and the other guests were very friendly.
One thing to be aware of is that we went on a Friday evening and as we were the only none French speakers the tasting was predominately delivered in French, with a shorter explanation in English for us after.

It’s a nice predinner activity at 6:30 pm. if you’re staying in the Saint Germaine area. Thibault was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his wines. My only minor complaint was that they stopped the presentation when other customers came in the shop.

Although I have been to Paris many times before, as I was traveling solo this time, I was looking to do something different than a tourist haunt. I've studied wine and work in the industry, so I did a wine tasting at a tiny little wine shop in Saint Germain des Pres. The event was offered in English and the owner was accommodating as I was the only English speaking person in the group. I have a limited understanding of French and most times I understood what he was saying to the rest of the group. This is definitely something I would do again with my husband the next time we are in Paris.

We thought it was very informative. We were only offered very limited “snacks” and the wine tasting only used one glass. Every other tasting we’ve been on had different glasses for every new wine. Also water to drink in between wines. But it still was interesting.
The problem was that we walked past the wine shop several days later and saw a sign advertising a wine tasting at the same shop with a full buffet dinner for 5 euros less per person then what we paid for the “snacks”. Not a very good way to do business. We feel a bit taken advantage of.

Thanks for your feedback. Indeed, it can be interesting to have several glasses. Our reception venue being very well located, but small in size, it is complicated to put a glass for each wine. In addition, our priority being the quality and diversity of the wines offered (we serve between 5 and 8 depending on the theme), it is easier to have a single glass, which you can rinse with water. In any case, it was a pleasure to receive you!

Hi Wendy, thank you for your message. I recognize that that evening I had many things to deal with at the same time and that I could not take care of you as well as I would have liked. Your comment is therefore fair in terms of the lack of attention you have been given. However, you had 7 wines served, a buffet, all commented and explained, including a great Bordeaux vintage 1972. For this level of wine and the price you paid, you will not find better anywhere else.

Hi Dennis, we understand your frustration. You came a group of 6 men to celebrate for a stag party. Your expectation was to be able to drink until more thirsty, but this is neither our philosophy nor what we offer in our establishment. I think there was a misunderstanding, you should have gone to party in a bar and not signed up for a wine tasting.

Wasnt very please with this event, the pictures are way off from the real setting of the tasting. The tasting was done right inside the wine shop ( which is extremely small ) its was only 1 table / wine barrel which only seat 2 people, the middle of the shop had shelves with wine, the area was so tight it wasnt a place to sit the cheese & meat platter, so the instructor had to place it on top of the wine shelve in the middle. So i can say it started off well ( set aside the tight space ) but about 15-30mins into the tastings a few customers in to purchase wine, which one stayed about 20mins talking to the instructor & we all was left just sitting and waiting, by time they was done talking we had to leave for dinner

We truly enjoyed our time with Jerome. He was the most knowledgeable expert we have ever had the pleasure learning wine information form. You may ask why not 5 stars? Because Viator provided us with the totally wrong address which made us trek several miles in the wrong direction, and then literally return back to where we started within 100 meters. So totally go with Jerome but do not trust Viator at all.
