It has been a masterclass very interesting to know thoroughly the wine and the way to produce the wine of Bourdeaux. Antoine (the sommellier) is an expert that can explain a log of things in a simple way. Our group was only 3 people and we think that it is an experience for small groups. Higly recommendable experience!

A really engaging, immersive experience with a local wine expert who works at various chateaus in Bordeaux. He was very knowledgable on wine. Learnt about the taste of the different grapes, with a presentation. 5 different reds, cheese and meat. Came out with a lot of new knowledge especially on the history of wine and the regions of Bordeaux. Would recommend to anyone who wants to brush up/learn about red wine.

We visited on a very hot day in July. We really enjoyed the class. Hugo was very informative, friendly and helpful. The class is very much focused on the wines of Bordeaux (Left / Right back ect). Mixture of history / theory and tasting. Highly recommended.

Fabulous wine tasting experience with Hugo in a small storefront that looks exactly like the photo on Viator. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and learned so much about wine…especially those from Bordeaux. The wines we sampled were delicious and so was the accompanying charcuterie board.
Would highly recommend this experience to both novices and experts.

If I could leave 0 I would. This place had a very foul odor. It was very hot, and everyone there complained about how uncomfortably warm it was. And the employee making our food was sneezing consistently and blew his nose without cleansing his hands after. I reached out to Viator for feedback and the business denied all claims. Avoid. It is a tourist trap and frankly overpriced.

It appeared to us necessary to reply to your comment, and we really feel sorry about you having a bad experience.
We had a total of 12 people attending the masterclass this day, and as the animator told us, everybody was really enthusiastic, shaked hands, and congratulated him at the end of the activity. You looked enjoying the experience and did not say anything during the calss.
The other participants had such a great experience, that they left a 5 stars rating, et bought a large number of bottle after the tasting.
The people who animated the tasting and prepared the food plates were not ill that day.
And the only odour we had in the workshop was the typical good french cheese odour. We have only traditional artisanal local cheeses.

Amazing experience. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable - the wine itself but also the history of the region and wine making. In all we tasted 6-7 wines which were paired with a lovely plate of cheese and charcuterie. Highly recommend!!

We did this masterclass as our first agenda in Bordeaux. Would recommend doing the same, if you have the time, since it gives you a little insight into wine tasting as well as the Bordeaux region. The guide was great in explaining the basics and we enjoyed!
Wouldn’t say the wines we tasted were the most exquisite, but they were still good. Having the cheese and meat at the end was also nice.

Noe was the perfect host and truly helped us understand all the complexity of Bordeaux wines. This is not your average wine tasting. It is truly a wine class. We learned so much about the geography, the grapes used in Bordeaux wines, and the history of wine production in the area. What really impressed me was how Noe helped us utilize all our senses to better understand the wines. He provided very deliberate instruction on how to recognize the various primary, secondary, and tertiary aromas and flavors.
I really liked that we were able to try single grape wines to better understand what to look for when tasting Bordeaux wines. I've never seen that at a tasting, but it's a great way to truly understand the expression of each grape in a blend. Our tasting included a white Bordeaux wine, as well as a blind tasting of red wines. Our wine was served with charcuterie that also helped better understand how wines change with food.
I strongly recommend this tasting if you are looking to truly understand Bordeaux wines. It provided an in-depth introduction that can help inform your choices on where to visit or what to order in the future!

Our instructor was very knowledgeable about the 9 wines we tasted. The Charcuterie plate had the variety that really allowed us to fully appreciate the difference in the tastes of the wine. Had some fun activities. A great experience.

Vincent was our instructor, and he was amazing! What I really appreciated was that he took the time to tell us about the grapes used by each appellation, and how to identify potential wines we might like, based on appellation, Chateaux, and/or area. He also spent time, helping us understand the importance of smell in tasting wine.
This class is a must if you aren't used to drinking French wines, or if you want to understand them better.

This was an excellent session with Matilde. She described the Bordeaux region and explained about the grapes used in the different areas. We tasted a number on wines, accompanied by small plates of artisanal cured meats and cheeses. She encouraged a convivial atmosphere between the various parties.
