Mateo was our guide during this masterclass. He was incredible. I learned so much about wine and how to tell where each wine is grown. He was very energetic and enthusiastic about everything we talked about. Though it was only an hour, it was worth every minute. What a great experience and I recommend to anyone traveling to Dijon.

The wine shop was not aware of our scheduled class but they quickly put it together and we tasted and learned so much about the wine of Bourgogne. We walked in knowing nothing…. Walked out basically an expert!

I am trying to learn what I like and how to ask for what I like. I thought we could have talked more about what differences each area offered - it was a good overview but hardly a tasting. You get a taste/swallow but nothing you could identify.

We're constantly striving to improve the quality of our tastings, and your feedback is invaluable to us! We like to think of these sessions as an introduction to the Burgundy wine region, its history and its different terroirs. This includes an explanation of how we taste wine, but we prefer to leave the analysis of flavours open to personal interpretation. Every palate is different, and everyone brings their own individual repertoire of aromas and tastes. There is no one set of tasting notes for any wine. We encourage you and all who join us to continue to taste and explore in order to find what fits your palate. Great little wine tasting, which the host did bilingually to accommodate myself (English speaker) and two French speakers - amazing! I learned a lot about the region and good tips on how to taste. I was a bit sceptical about the price but the tasting actually includes a premier cru and a grand cru - so I think good value overall to taste wines I wouldn’t normally be able to afford! I love Chablis so I would’ve liked some more info or a Chablis wine to taste - but on the other hand this expanded my horizons. Thanks again for a great experience!
