The boat was comfortable as it travelled up and down the Spree River in Berlin. There was plenty of time to take pictures of the beautiful buildings along the route.

A very good overview of the City of Berlin. From the West side to the Eastern Side, the bus shows where the "Wall" was located, the history of the divided Berlin after WWII and the reestablishment of the great German City subsequent to the great divide.

Exceptional value for money - the staff and drivers are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend downloading the app as it has added bonuses like map locator to next stop and bus gps information. The only issue is that the stops are not clearly marked on the street but thankfully most stops have a staff member who is more than willing to help. I did the explorer pass with Berlin Wall tour which I would highly recommend - it’s a 2 hour tour that is informative, captivating and enjoyable. It’s a good way to get around Berlin and see the highlights especially for a first time visitor to Berlin as you can easily get lost in this amazing city. Highly recommend to solo travellers, groups and families.

Due to traffic congestion it’s a slow experience. I’d suggest doing on your first day to orientate yourself. Nothing wrong with tour, just traffic.

Great to do on first day in Berlin. Informative tour that shows all the major sites so you can go back later. Bottom level indoor with AC and top level is open air. Earbuds provided to listen to the tour. Note... Says till 6pm but last bus was actually at 5:11.

Hop on hop off always worth doing in a new city. Great way to cover a lot of ground. Walking tour with Roman was excellent- he was very knowledgeable and spoke from the heart rather than a script .

The phrasing on Viator for this tour is misleading. It said that vouchers for currywurst was available with selected tickets. This was poorly worded English. It meant that with select tickets the currywurst voucher was available. But never did it say which tickets included it. From what I can tell, none on Viator include it. Better off booking direct with the company.
AVOID THE RIVER CRUISE! It was a waste of time. Boring, confusing. The English narration didn’t line up with where you were at, so it was a constant guessing game. Really didn’t make sense.
The bus tour itself was fine and a good way to get around to highlights. We wasted the entire morning and part of the afternoon on the river cruise. Didn’t get to see all we wanted with the bus.

Having just checked that, the inclusions are actually quite clearly listed on each product option. A currywurst is included on our 48h and our 24h + walking tour options. The river cruise is not operated by Big Bus, we'll be sure to forward these comments to the operator BWSG. Apologies also on their behalf.
The Big Bus Tour Berlin gave us a really good feel for the city and the location of it's key sites. The commentary and driver's additional comments also gave us ideas for further exploration which we really appreciated. We were impressed to also get a free walking tour and additional bus tour of the wall as part of the package.

Great way to see the city. We bought a 48 hr pass and chose the Berlin Wall Tour option. We felt like we saw it all! The bus commentary provides a really nice overview of the city and its history. Wait time was minimal since the app approximates each bus arrival. Hint: Even though the web says you can scan and go, you must get a printed ticket to be able to use the extras that come with this pass. Free bag, free food, Wall Tour each need a paper ticket to redeem. Have fun! It’s an amazing city.

A great way to learn about Berlin and see everything, and for us it was a great break from all the walking, steps and blisters. We did the red line which was good, but maybe if you can afford it the blue line would be better because we ended up going to each of those places anyway on foot

If you only purchase the red line it is not worth it. To truly see everything worthwhile in Berlin they convince you yo purchase various lines and also the berlin wall. It is worth it but it is expensive.

Thanks for the 5 stars, great that you enjoyed our tours! Please understand that our audio guide needs to fit a wide variety of clientele and we have to deal with time constraints, too. I'd recommend doing our walking tour which really delves deeper into Berlin's history!
Drivers were not that friendly. The recording describing the surrounding at times was not lining up that week. Expect to stop at some points for s while. Have done other toys like this in other places and they were much better. Depending on why you do this you may be better off with other options

The tour is a quick glimpse of the city. A person would need to know where to get off at certain places to get an in depth visit. The whole loop takes about 2 hours.

This is a fantastic way to get a feel for the city. The trip around Berlin is about 2 hours. Sometimes the bus can be crowded, but most times there were plenty of seats. Bus was clean as well.

Thanks for this information. This longer stop is communicated by our bus driver and it's something we're unfortunately required by law to give the driver a short rest.
The tour bus covers a wide area, including the most interesting places. I did the entire tour twice. The second time, the route had changed. And there aren't always explanations for all the stops. On the first trip, some stops didn't have recordings, and on the second, they were different. It's inconsistent.

Our routes don't really change unless there is an unexpected road closure by the police which can happen in any big city - which we're sure you can appreciate. Or is it possible that you boarded the bus of another sightseeing company the second time round? There are 4 different operators in Berlin.
Great experience. Totally as advertised. Saw most of important spots in Berlin easily and comfortably. Well worth the cost.

Overall the hop-on hop off tour was a great way to see the highlights of Berlin and would be would be a great first day item on anyone's itinerary period then if people are staying longer they can go back to some of sites either they did not see on the tour or we're not included on the tour. We like to be able to get on and off as much or as little as we wanted where we wanted.
Unfortunately there were a couple of things that were included in our extended ticket that we did not receive such as the currywurst and the bag. We were not clear on where to receive our items at the stops that were indicated and when we went to claim those items there were no tour guides with a little bubble flags available after 1400 hours. So pretty much after that time frame you were on your own to figure out where the actual stop for the tour was which was confusing at times because there was nothing that said big bus tour Stops Here and the addresses on the flyer where very tiny and it was very difficult to get directions from the app.
The app is not exactly the most user-friendly app that I've worked with and at times it was difficult to figure out where we were to go and what screen we were supposed to be on
The evening tour was worth every penny. Simon our tour guide and Mo our driver were excellent. Simon spoke beautiful English as was the common language that everyone at the Tour to be in and he showed us so much of Berlin that we didn't already see on the on/off big bus tour earlier in the day.

Unfortunately, sightseeing companies in Berlin are prohibited by law to erect stop signs, something we have been campaigning to have changed for years. The places where the currywurst and the souvenir bag can be collected are printed on your ticket and in our brochures with street addresses and business names.
