Overall the hop-on hop off tour was a great way to see the highlights of Berlin and would be would be a great first day item on anyone's itinerary period then if people are staying longer they can go back to some of sites either they did not see on the tour or we're not included on the tour. We like to be able to get on and off as much or as little as we wanted where we wanted.
Unfortunately there were a couple of things that were included in our extended ticket that we did not receive such as the currywurst and the bag. We were not clear on where to receive our items at the stops that were indicated and when we went to claim those items there were no tour guides with a little bubble flags available after 1400 hours. So pretty much after that time frame you were on your own to figure out where the actual stop for the tour was which was confusing at times because there was nothing that said big bus tour Stops Here and the addresses on the flyer where very tiny and it was very difficult to get directions from the app.
The app is not exactly the most user-friendly app that I've worked with and at times it was difficult to figure out where we were to go and what screen we were supposed to be on
The evening tour was worth every penny. Simon our tour guide and Mo our driver were excellent. Simon spoke beautiful English as was the common language that everyone at the Tour to be in and he showed us so much of Berlin that we didn't already see on the on/off big bus tour earlier in the day.

Thank you for your extensive review for us, particularly for our staff on our evening tour. Unfortunately, sightseeing companies in Berlin are prohibited by law to erect stop signs, something we have been campaigning to have changed for years. The places where the currywurst and the souvenir bag can be collected are printed on your ticket and in our brochures with street addresses and business names.

Great city tour sans the tour guide. It's a 2H plus tour that runs through every major attraction in the city of Berlin. There's audio guide that explains the significance of every bus stop.

The buses are not frequent enough (every half an hour) meaning you cannot take advantage of all the attractions on offer. The drivers were also very unfriendly! And to top it off our tour bus was involved in a car crash as we were heading to the walking tour!! I have used Big Bus Tours in other cities but this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.

Safety is our highest priority and unfortunately there was nothing our bus driver could have done other than to hit the brakes causing you to jolt forward. The busses don't start until 10, and they don't come all that frequently. If you're able enough to walk a few miles in a day, everything is walkable and preferable to waiting for the bus.

Thanks for these comments. Berlin is a big city with 2 city centres that are about 2 hours walk apart and we run our buses between these which some people might prefer to a walk. We operate every 20 mins. from 9 - 5pm.

Sometimes announcements don't coinside with stops. I didn't realize you had to get off to go on Blue route, announcement was fuzzy so missed the whole route. Music in background was just as loud as announcements.

The bus tour was as expected and we enjoyed it all - until we got to the Brandenburg Gate and got off. When we returned to continue the tour we were told that the bus wouldn't be coming back as the Berlin Mile run was on and the road closed. No one had told us this fact and we had to then walk miles to return

I never received a code for the booking even though the instructions say use your confirmation code on the app. I reached out to the operator and they did not respond I requested a refund and they refused to give me a refund. This is horrible customer service. I will never book this company again!

There is no need to save your ticket into the app. As explained on the Viator voucher you have received, the QR code on it just needs to be shown to any of our staff. Great way to see Berlin. It made traveling to the sights very easy with close proximity to minimize walking and needing to navigate the transit. The App worked well and showed where the busses were to allow us to time our hop on perfectly.

The people who helped along the way were friendly and nice. Always answered our questions with a smile. The audio guide was a perfect lesson along the way. Although we didn't get on to get back to our hotel, that was our choice, the driver was great at telling us how to get back safely. I would do this again. I am glad we did this on the first day. We have sent you a map with all the stop locations in the early morning of your day of travel. Our website and app also have this information, additionally all of the stops are also listed on the Viator website where you have made your booking. I have never been a fan of HOHO buses due to very mixed reviews, but Big Bus has definitely changed my opinion after my trip in Berlin. The staff is polite and helpful, the buses were very clean and the icing on the cake, the sound quality of the commentary was clear and on the money. Will be using this service more in different countries and cities. Also, the stops are well planned and the buses were surprisingly punctual. Great experience overall.

Great way to see all the main sights of Berlin. We just used it to get around on one of our days, longest had to wait for a bus was 10 minutes. Recommend downloading the app as it's brilliant as you can see where the buses are live on your route

The hop on and off bus tour was excellent, regular buses and very informative. The price also included a currywurst which we enjoyed and a walking tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour and the guide Konrad was very knowledgeable and was good fun.

It was a great experience. Got to see all the historic and important site seeing places in Berlin with good information commentary. Bus was comfortable and staff was friendly. You can hop off at sites that you are interested and visit them and hop back on in 30 minutes on the next bus.

Typical hop on hop off. My family went to the day tour and I went to the evening tour. The day tour had headsets and was very informative and had great stops. The night tour did not have stops but had a live guide in German and English. He interacted with everyone and asked where they were from. He went through great detail with history thoughout the tour not just focusing on historical buildings but also the city which was very enjoyable.

BigBus is, in my opinion, the best choice for HOHO in Berlin. First, their buses stop at pretty much everyplace you want to see - and run on about a 30 minute schedule, so far less waiting than other companies. The stops are easy to find, and they have people in place at all of the stops to help/answer questions. In addition, their app is great. Easy to use, and it allows you to download and activate your ticket, which is then easily available to use all day long. The best part of BigBus is that the two routes - which have a common stop at Alexanderplatz - are coordinated so that you can easily transfer between them quickly and efficiently with no big time gap waiting for one or the other. Overall, just a well thought out and executed plan of business.
