Itinerary
Arrive at Berlin’s Warschauer U-Bahn Station in the morning, where you’ll meet your knowledgeable guide. Begin your walking and eating exploration by heading to Berlin’s Raw Market, a site that will help put the city’s incredible transformation between 1865 and 1989 into context. If you start to feel hungry for more than just information, not to worry: a stop at one of Berlin’s best kebab shops is just around the corner.
Continue your foot-powered food adventure as you explore some of East Berlin’s trendiest art galleries, Soviet-era boulevards and colorful street art before taking a break for ‘Flammenkuchen,’ a flatbread style German tart at a local restaurant. You’ll also stop by another boutique bakery, where you can sample a variety of cakes and pastries.
Still have room for more tasty snacks? Enjoy some Currywurst, one of Berlin’s most iconic street-style sausage meals, and then sample a taste of the city’s immigrant community as you enjoy a special Turkish sweet. You’ll finish your trip at the East Side Gallery, one of the most famous remaining sections of the Berlin Wall, including the chance to try one last special food treat.

This was a great walking /eating /history Tour thanks to our fantastic guide Vincenzo!
We walked in the Hackisher Markt area which in itself is a very interesting and varied experience. The Tour varied from small food stands to restaurant. A variity of delicious foods from different inhabitans in Berlin from different original. Delicious and not too big portions, enough to last through the whole walk. Inbetween the walk we had stops where we were given history lessons about the local areas. This was a great plus to this Tour! A great guide contributed a lot to this experience! We send him a lot of appreciation!!!

The guide was knowledgeable about history and food. The tour was not rushed, and we liked it. Great kebabs, currywurst, doughnuts, pork knuckle, and beer. Recommend!

Great walking food tour. Our guide Francesco shared so much great history about Berli, the foofds we wrre eating and tourist tis. He was very engaging and fun. We found the foods filling! Highly recommend!

Great tour! Worth the time & money! We tried SO MANY interesting foods on the tour. Our tour guide was warm and informative. We went with our 16, 18 & 20 year old daughters and they all enjoyed it.

This is not to throw any shade at our tour guide, who was friendly and knowledgeable. This review is more directed at the company that runs the food tours.
The amount and variety of food and drink did not reflect the steep price per person. We were a group of seven, paying £83.24 each so the company receives almost £600 in total for us to basically receive half a kebab, a paper cup of beer, a “secret sweet item”, a small portion of currywurst, and then a fairly typical Berlin/Bavarian selection of food.
There’s nothing wrong with the food itself, but charging £83 per person for this experience is, in my opinion, disgraceful and greedy. Unfortunately, I would not recommend.

This was a fantastic tour! We learned so much about Berlin and had the best food! The kebab from the Turkish restaurant was our favorite! We were so full by the end of the tour! We made several stops, tried sweet, savory, some currywurst (which was surprisingly delicious!) and learned about the food and the city. One of the best tours we have ever had! Even my kids 21 and 17 enjoyed it!

LOVED our very easy going, personable tour guide, Francesco! He is so knowlegeable of Berlin and its food history. All of our food samples were delicious and fulfilling (five stops). Plus, moving from stop to stop, he walked us through hidden courtyards and neighborhoods that I would've never known about as a first time visitor...even shared great local tips on how to view the city! Overall, I highly recommend Francesco on this secret food tour!!!

Book this on a Sunday if you can, it’s much less crowded in the city and you can really take your time and relax. We tried so many delicious foods and walked through some very fun spots - it’s a lot of fun and you end at a cozy Biergarten with three large dishes and beers! A great way to eat and learn - come hungry!

The tour felt unsanitary, with multiple people sharing food from the same plate and handling the same portions. Food servings were extremely small, one beer stop was a convenience store, and the tour was disorganized. The experience was not worth the price paid. Do not book this one.

This is not good value for money. We have done several tours with Viator and this tour was the most expensive ( $324 AUD for 2 people) with only a few tastings of food (not 8+ tastings), beer and doughnuts.

Felix was knowledgeable about the city and food, got a good mix of eating walking and history. A bit hard going solo as a lot of things were split between two people. I am not much of a beer person so the large hops beer at the end was not for me. Food was great to try, we covered the German food I wanted to try for my trip and it was all great quality. Overall great tour!
