Matthias was a great guide and very knowledgeable on sachsenhausen and Potsdam. He made sure to answer any questions we had on the history of Germany and complicated history of east and west Germany.

There is a lot of walking and some stairs so wear comfortable shoes. We had time to go to a restaurant for lunch but we had taken our lunch with us, and water. Lots of history and other interesting information about Germany, the Camp and Potsdam.

If you want to spend more time at the camp you should book a separate trip. There was so much to look at and so little time.

Walid was an absolutely amazing tour guide for this experience! He provided a lot of history and humor in a tactful way that brought levity to the situation but also did not diminish the history we were there to remember. It’s a well-balanced day with harder history to start and the palaces and gardens of Potsdam to end. Thank you Walid and team!

Peter is an awesome tour guide! He definitely knows his history and is knowledgeable about all sites within the concentration camp. Once we arrived at Potsdam, the history lesson was very in-depth. This trip was well worth it. Definitely a long day, but plenty of good lunch spots in Potsdam.

It was interesting experience the guide had good knowledge and gave some useful information on the history of the camp. But to bebhonest naturally worth the money as you can just get a train ticket visit the camp for free and wonder around. We felt rushed and we missed on on some parts of the camp. You never got long enough to read all the interesting information and to view the photos. Overall I would give it a 3 out of 5.

Felipe’s vast knowledge was exceptional. Every small detail was covered and the way the tour was delivered was perfect.
It can be rushed, but that’s just how it is with tours. You just take it as it is.
After this tour, I’ve learned so much that I never even heard of or read from any history books.

It was a long day but it didn’t feel like it because Wahid our tour guide made it interesting. He was fun and shared as much info with us as he could. Definitely a good tour to learn some history of the camp and Postdam. Be ready to walk around a lot despite getting to the sites on a bus.

This is a fantastic way to see Sachsenhausen and Potsdam. Our guide, Walid, was very knowledgeable and looked after us really well. I thoroughly enjoyed this trip! It was thought-provoking in the morning at the concentration camp. The afternoon was spent on the beautiful surroundings of Potsdam.

My only criticism with this tour is that it is bilingual. So half of the time on the bus I had to just look around as I didn't understand what was being said.
That aside, our English speaking guide, Walid, was phenomenal. He was deeply knowledgeable of all aspects of the tour and have great stories and descriptions for the history of what had occurred.
Walid's friendly personality really helped guide us through the true horrors that we had to process. Without our guide, we wouldn't have understood as much about the locations just walking through them.
Would recommend (so long as you don't mind sitting out half of the bus ride.)

Each group has its own dedicated guide, and all visits and explanations at the sites are conducted separately in a single language. We understand that, during the bus journeys, this arrangement may give the impression of a bilingual tour, and we appreciate your understanding.

Our guide was Matias from Italy. He was very well versed and answered all questions. Made sure that camp tour was appropriate in nature and that post-camp was more lively.
We were partnered with a Spanish speaking tour so there were 2 guides. They alternated with their commentary.

Excellent tour. A coach collects you from Alexanderplatz and takes you to both places. There was a Spanish and an English speaking guide who both gave lots of information along the journey and at both stops.
You can easily spend a full day at either place so if you want to read everything in the exhibitions at the camp then you will have to come back! Same with Potsdam, it is a beautiful city with interesting buildings, shops and cafe's, as well as a big palace and grounds. A lovely way to spend a day just walking around.

I really looked forward to visiting the concentration camp but the tour guide talked constantly and we barely had time to see anything. Most of the day was spent listening to our tour guide Peter.

There is very little time to explore at Sachenhaussen; true historians should take a day trip. It might be noteworthy that lunch is only at 2:00-2:30. It seemed as though there was a lot more Spanish commentary on the bus; we therefore felt that the Spanish group got more value.

Visit to the Concentration Camp was an eye opener on how badly the inmates were treated.
Visit to Potsdam was interesting.

Daniel was exceptionally knowledgeable about everything on our tour. He went very in depth into the background of both the camp and the palace grounds, as well as all the sites we passed on the bus in Berlin and Potsdam. Although at times it was a somber experience, as to be expected, he was able to walk us through with levity and bring forward the lessons we could learn into the modern day.
