What a hidden gem of a tour this is. From boarding the vessel to traversing the Spree onboard, this was a truly wondrous experience. Bar onboard, table service for drinks, toilets up the back if you need them, lovely and warm - it’s got the lot. Michael our tour guide was exceptional, genial, friendly, humorous, what a guide - 10/10 Michael. Knowledge of the Spree, the area, the history, could not fault it, what a friendly crew. Doing this at sunset made it all the better too. We will be back to do this again in Summer, thanks to Michael and all the vessels staff for a cracking voyage.

It was a lovely and scenic boat ride taking in the sights and history of Berlin. Our guide spoke English and German and was very knowledgeable - he made the hour go by fast with excellent commentary that was informative and witty.

Unique and relaxing experience

This boat tour was a really lovely experience. My sister and I decided to do this on a whim and it was such a lovely relaxing activity. The guide was fantastic, such a lovely guy with great knowledge about the city and a good sense of humour too! It was really fun to see the city from a unique perspective of being on the river and they didn’t rush through it. The boat was comfortable and a smooth journey. You can order drinks on board (hot, cold, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks) which is a nice touch. The boat is easy to get on and off but there are some fairly steep steps to get down to where the boat is.

Regarding the language: as stated in the title, our tours are conducted bilingually in German and English. There are no tours with live commentary in Berlin that only are conducted in German. Our tours are designed as a one-hour boat experience with a live guide, providing concise and accessible information about the sights along the route. This format is not comparable to an in-depth city tour or a guided walk, where much more detailed explanations are given. Most of our guests prefer a clear and engaging overview rather than a deep dive into individual topics. That said, we’re glad to hear that you enjoyed our crew and the service on board.

It was lovely going on the water on a sunny day But there was a limited amount of English as naturally many of the other travellers were German …. We would have liked more history so we did not learn as much as we hoped about the buildings we saw.

We got there half an hour early, comfy seats . Drinks menu. Tour guide was good and funny. There was only one waitress so she was definitely pushed, with a full boat. But she was polite and thanked us for our patience. They accept cards which was a bonus. The boat ride was nice we got to see 2 main landmarks. If you get the chance go for the longer trip:)

In Berlin, live-guided boat tours are generally conducted bilingually (German and English) so that all guests on board can follow the explanations. Tours with live commentary in only one language are not offered. For guests who prefer to listen in just one language, the alternative are tours from other companies that don’t offer live commentary but an audio guide, where you can select your preferred language. This was a lovely relaxing way to see Some Berlin highlights from the river. Our guide was both knowledgeable and entertaining. The boat was heated and very well kept. ( although we had a sunny day and the weather was unusually warm for December) Refreshments were available on board.
