Perfect length, great information. Mikey was the perfect guide for this tour- knowledgeable and friendly and able to keep 30 people on time. He was professional and respectful of our group as well as other groups. Very worthwhile tour!

This is the second time I've done this tour. The second tour was absolutely incredible, Hannah did a wonderful job explaining the history throughout the session. I left with more information, some that was not covered in the first tour, and it was overall well paced. While there will never be enough time to fully explore Sachsenhausen, I still felt that I left this experience far more educated.

Nina was incredible the best 4 hours in something that was incredibly poignant and incomprehensible. She had insights and understood the motivations that really helped. I think it's so necessary to see these memorials to continue to remember so really grateful to have gone.

Informative trip

Thomas our guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. You do a fair amount of walking around the camp, not many of the barracks have survived but you can see how the camp had been laid out.

Very informative tour. Nice bus ride out of Berlin. Great tour guide. A lot of history surrounding WW2. Very eye opening for first time concentration camp visitors. It puts you in the middle of it all and takes you out of the text books. Very real.

This tour was ok, there is not a lot left here and what there was available to see or read, there wasn't enough time. The tour guide was fine, but we were rushed through everything which was annoying because I would have liked to read some of the things in the museum.

More than a Concentration Camp

Hannah was a wonderful tour guide. Not only did she discuss Sachsenhausen, she described its relationship to Berlin, all of the other camps at the time, and the going’s on worldwide. She also explained how the Holocaust began in great detail, with simple explanations for all. She surprised us constantly with facts we had never before heard … and we’ve done a lot of research into the Holocaust. Although this tour concerned quite a solemn topic, Hannah comforted us with engaging conversation about what can be learned and how to move forward. We were left feeling that our participation was highly appreciated since understanding the Holocaust may ensure this horrific event will never be repeated.

It is different when you are actually at the place where those horrible things happened. It’s hard to see it all but the tour guide Paul was really good and helped to understand how it all happened. Never forget your history lesson

Our tour guide, Emma was amazing. She was like a walking historian. She gave the background on Hitler like I've never heard before and taught us so much about propaganda. She was amazing. She did not mince words… These camps killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people. Good reminder to never forget.

Paul was so knowledgeable about the camp and its place in history. He handled the tough truths of what happened at the concentration camp with incredible sensitivity and honesty and made sure we had time to both see things for ourselves and hear important information. Joachim (hope I got the spelling correct) was a fantastic knowledgeable guide. We all could hardly believe it was his first time. He checked us all in timely and while on the bus, he gave us some background history before the Sachsenhausen tour. He spoke very clearly and with important facts. While we were at the camp, he further made sure we were timely and all together. He offered many fun facts and interesting tidbits. I especially liked the end-story with the music.

Informative, compassionate tour

Our tour guide was excellent. He did a great job of explaining what was happening in the country that led to the Nazi party and mentality, and also centering the tour on the perspective of those imprisoned at the camp. It was a deeply moving, emotional tour but absolutely worth it. He was also extremely accommodating of an older person in our group who was struggling with the heat, and we were very grateful for that. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

Mickey was Awesome

If you go on the tour in Summer, bring a. Umbrella and water, as you'll be outside in the sun and heat. Our tour guide Mickey was an extremely knowledgeable historian who thoroughly explained the roots of the Nazi party and the party's affect on German daily life and society. Excellent tour guide who was able to explain a complex history in a simple and powerful way.

Great Tour for a Concise Visit to an Important Concentration Camp

This is a compact tour of one of the concentration camps during WWII... about an hour north of Berlin. It is well-run, the bus is very comfortable, and our guide, Emma, was amazing in her knowledge and led our group like she knew what she was doing! SHE made this a great tour. If you want to dive deeper into this memorial, you would need more time here... but this is exactly what we desired.
