It’s a very moving experience to walk the grounds where so many men lost their lives. Only a few of the original buildings remain and holocaust deniers have tried to eradicate these. The bus ride to the camp from Berlin is about 50 minutes, and we had about 2 hours for the actual tour. There are long stretches to walk between sites, but the ground is level. The importance of this tour is that it shows the horrific aftermath of what starts as small discriminations and curtails of freedom that go unchecked.

The tour was very educational and heavy at the same time. This is a serious but must-do tour to stay educated on the history of what occurred. Our tour guide Maria was very informative and we really appreciated the bus we took, especially on a sunny day like the one we visited.

Hannah was our guide through insider tours and was fab! Very empathetic, extremely knowledgeable and just was the most fantastic guide for what was a tough tour.
Would recommend this tour but ask for Hannah if you get a choice. Would recommend. For anyone who questions taking children. We took our 12 year old son who asked lots of questions, was sensitive to where and how he asked questions and is still talking about the tour.

Really interesting and reflective visit. We had Pete F do our tour and he was very friendly and welcoming and overcame some challenges with the mic on the bus to make sure we got a lot of great background before we reached the camp. Pete gave a lot of interesting and relevant information, however at times it did feel like he was winging it with some of the facts for e.g there were only 3 reasons that would go on a death certificate and he followed this up with what it could have been and then gave a list of 5 or 6 examples - so just didn't tie up. We went to the Topography of Terror that night and she rhymed off the 3 reasons. Also telling people 'you probably know this already' constantly did become a bit frustrating and you could see it put people off. We didn't get a chance to see alot of the camp so I would recommend giving people even another hour to do some self touring as there was a lot of other information areas to see that we just didn't have time to. Overall a very reflective well organised visit.

It was very moving to actually tour the outside and the inside of this concentration camp. Our guide, Peter was a most powerful instructor in the personal history details of this concentration camp. Very informative and actually a brilliant speaker. We couldn't have had a better experience with Peter.
I would definitely give our tour if possible a 6 star experience. Viator should be proud of having him as a tour guide. Amazing day.

His historical knowledge, style of delivery, guidance through the site, and sensitivity to how attendees might respond to a place of such horror were all outstanding. I learned a great deal.
