Day trip from Berlin

We signed up for a day bus trip, via tripadvisor. We met our guide at the appointed time and the bus was split with English speaking and Spanish speaking. Each group had their own guide. Ours was Peter and he was very well informed and very laid back. We arrived at the concentration camp and covered the war history and the camp specifics before walking around. There were two barricks, guard towers, and a few out buildings that had all been rebuilt after the war. There was plenty of documentation, mostly in German, but we got the gest of what went on during the war. We spent the morning here, and it was cold so we opted out of the walk in Potsdam and went straight to the city for lunch. We enjoyed walking around, seeing the shops and found a nice restaurant for lunch. The section that was built like Dutch apartments was very interesting, since we weren't expecting that. We got back to the city around 5:30 and it was a full day. We enjoyed all of it and it was a fair price for the day.

Great walking tour

This is an easy-paced walk. Covers about 30 stops in 3.5 hours. A great introduction to Central Berlin. Our guide Tobi was very friendly, informative and helpful in explaining the history and culture of the city area. He also explained how the city’s development linked into the history of the whole country. Quite suitable for all ages.

Bear’s Second Tour of Berlin

We knew where to meet for this one. Don’t forget to open and read the pdf. A good cross over tour between WWII, the Cold War and learning Berlin is built on a swamp. We would never have known that but wondered why all the buildings were so wide and not too tall there you have it. Xavier was a fantastic tour guide. We loved it.

Amazing you're and guide

AMAZING!! Artie was such a great Tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions. All of the groups questions. He knew dates. He knew times of events that happened. We saw the wall, we saw checkpoint. Charlie, we saw monuments. I cannot say enough about Artie. You must take this tour!

Great tour - tons of walking

This was a fantastic tour. Emma was great and very knowledgeable. We did the tour by train, which was generally easy. However it is a 25 minute walk to saussenhausen once you get off the train, then about three hours of walking through the camp, and 25 minutes back. Absolutely nothing wrong with that for us, but some may need less walking. One couple in our group paid for a taxi to avoid so much walking. Overall, a really good experience though. If you're capable of walking far and don't mind it, this is the one for you!

Walking tour with some public transport!!

We met Paul at the train station. He helped us buy a days train pass which we weren’t expecting but it got us over the phobia of using public transport. We went into a small but very interesting museum about the suddenness of the separation of Berlin. Here Paul gave us a super introduction. We jumped on and off trains while we heard about the situation of Berlin during this particular era. It was super interesting!!

This was my first food...

This was my first food tour in a city and am now excited to do more! A fun way to get a walk in and explore different cuisines of Berlin. The only thing we said we wish was different was doing the Doner Kebab last as it was the best food on the tour, and potentially the best in the city (we tried 3-4 spots!) I highly recommend this to anyone who likes food and beer while in Berlin!

Great tour

This is a walking tour around Berlin that gives you insight into the history of the city. Information is shared in a very open way which is very refreshing. Our guide, Matias, was really friendly and great to chat with. His knowledge was fantastic and he was able to answer all our questions. The tour is based on paying a donation at the end, rather than paying a fee at the start. Suggested donation if you enjoy the tour is €15-20. I was happy paying €20 as it was thoroughly enjoyable. It’s a long tour but you can stop for drinks and restroom half way through. Definitely come with comfortable walking shoes.

Very good & informative. We were group of friends visiting Berlin for the first time. It was a very hot day so Claudia our guide made sure we had plenty of breaks in the shade. It was a tip based tour so we all gave her appropriate tip but my friend was so impressed with the knowledge of the guide that she tipped her generously. She deserved it. Well recommended.

Highly recommended experience that allows you to discover a part of Berlin in more depth. Marta created an excellent combination of food and little historical curiosities, which make this experience very interesting and without downtime between one stop and the next. Crash course Berlin in 4 hours

Guide Rhys took us on a walking tour of Berlin, which started on a windy Alexanderplatz. But that only became more beautiful and fun afterwards. You occasionally take the train, metro or tram to continue walking a few stops away. We visited Mitte, Prenzlauerberg and Kreuzberg. We have been coming to Berlin for a long time, but heard some new things about squats, the treehouse, street art and the history of Berlin. On the way there is half an hour to eat a curry sausage. Make sure you have a day ticket for public transport.
