Great way to get from the cruise ship to the airport! Lots of fun stops with great views and even saw a mama moose with her baby!

Fantastic half day trip between our cruise and airport drop off ! Dan and Kim were very knowledgeable, helpful and very easy going ! You could tell they loved what they were doing and were in no rush at all . We got to see a lot in the amount of time we had available! Highly recommend this !

We had a last minute booking White Raven for our travel from the cruise ship to Anchorage. It’s the beginning of our travel started with the employees at the port not allowing us to enter the parking lot to get on the van. Dan Dan got out of the van and went to go look for us by that time we had made it over to the van. This is just one small detail out of many that made us very happy with this choice for transportation. The list of stops and places we passed by made for the price of this transportation in and of itself. Dan took the to talk personally with each passenger, which also made for a very pleasant experience because you felt like you were an important part of the journey. All of the tour guides that we had during our vacation, he was hands-down, the most knowledgeable and gave us, what felt like, the most accurate and reliable information versus a lot of the tall tales that we heard along the way he also made sure that we knew that he researched his information and that he wasn’t providing second hand accounts of stories that may not be true or factual. I personally appreciate this because I am one to go research information for validity. I also don’t want to go back home to the people stories about Alaska that aren’t true. The places that were curated for our stock were amazing. We stopped at portage glacier, Lake Hood, the animal conservation place, and a couple other lakes. The pictures and views were beautiful. We stopped at a fantastic brewery with food trucks for lunch and a chocolate factory with excellent chocolate. We then traveled to view earthquake park, where we learned about the events of that tragic day and then to the sea plane storage area. Again, Dan filled our minds with wonderful information you just don’t get out of an every day tour guide. The ultimate icing on the cake though, we needed to stop somewhere to ship a bag back. Without hesitation he took us to the post office to get this done, saving us about 40 bucks in transport fees if we had to be dropped off at one or catch a cab from airport and back. He also personally took one couple direct to their AirBnB and another group to check their luggage at the airport and dropped them off in downtown or so to enjoy their final few hours in town before flying out. He was so pleasant about all this and to go this extra mile for his guest is simply amazing. They don’t have to do this and no one should be expect any guide to go to this level of accommodation and personalization. Alaska will loose a true gem if the day comes when he and his spouse No longer offer guides. Oh!! And they also do different excursions, so be sure to ask about those and take them. If we were staying an extra couple days like originally planned, we would have immediately booked the glacier walk tour they offer as well. Thank you so much for a fantastic last day in Alaska that was stress free, insightful and very very enjoyable. It was a pleasure!!!

It was a pleasure showing you both part of Alaska and thank you soooo much for your kind words. I truly hope you and your husband return for that glacier walk!!! Dan

Dan did a fabulous job of describing everything from the wildlife to the terrain to the waterways to the way of life in Alaska. He gave us excellent recommendations for places to eat and things to do. We made several stops along the way…including the Chocolate Factory! Great chocolate! At the end Dan dropped us off at our hotel. Thanks, again, Dan!!

The tour itself is fine. They came right on time at the terminal for pickup but very chaotic on how they loaded the vans. As soon as vans arrived i started checking with drivers, first one said she has a large party so went to check on 2nd van, the male driver ( not listing his name as the intention is not to shame, but for them to learn from this, full disclosure: me or any of my friends or family will never travel with this tour company again)
asked how many people. I answered and he ignored us, he lets other 3 families get loaded and kep ignoring me, we asked again even mentioned if we should go to next van which was parked a distance away, same response - ignored us. After the van was full he walked us to the 3rd van which was already full and we had to sit in the very last row. I was traveling with 2 kids, my husband and my 80 yr old mother. It was not just inconvenience that bothered me but his unfairness as he looks at us and lets the other family of 5 in his can who evidently came after us.
When i shared my feedback and frustration with him, he started yelling at me and said to calm down, take your stuff and leave ( in front of everyone, including my family) ...i have never experienced such a rude travel company rep in my life. We travel a lot with our family and let me just say this tour company is not worth your money if you want to have fun and have self respect.
He tried to make up by making jokes and talking to kids afterwards but again, to summarize an entitled, rude, unfair driver that ruined our morning and made it an unpleasant experience for all of us.

I am sorry to hear about your experience. Seating comes as a first come first serve basis. However, the party of 5, the driver let in his van was already traveling with another party who were already seated in his van. He wasn't able to accommodate another party of 5 (your party) If you would have arrived on time, there would have been more available seats for you to choose from. I was standing next to the driver and he did not shout and wasn't rude to you. Actually you were rude to him and many of the customers kept commenting how rudely you treated him. I heard him say to you if you weren't happy with your seating arrangements, he would have you refunded and you could have went with another company, yet you choose to stay with White Raven and continue your tour with us and be unhappy. We have received emails regarding this exact tour that day and other very satisfied customers couldn't understand why you felt so entitled over everyone else on the tour. Perhaps you should book a private tour in the future.

Dan and Kim were fantastic! Dan's mix of knowledge about the area and personal stories of encountering bears, moose, and other wildlife made the drive enjoyable and entertaining between stops. We also really appreciated that Dan at every picturesque stop offered, or more accurately insisted, on taking photos for everyone so that families and groups had all folks in frame.
The stops were a perfect mix of views and local gift shops. The brewery lunch stop was amazing! Will be recommending the tour to anyone coming this way.

This tour gave us more for our money than anything else we did on our trip! Absolutely perfect way to get from the end of our cruise to our airport connection while continuing the fun!

A fabulous tour in a comfortable van with an friendly and accommodating tour guide. We visited a range of different places on our way from Whittier to Anchorage and she even dropped us off directly at our hotel. Would highly recommend White Raven Tours!

This is a fantastic option to take from Whittier to Anchorage. There was plenty of room to safely store luggage in the trailer behind the van. The van was large and comfortable. We had a great itinerary stopping at a wildlife conservation park, had a good tour of Anchorage, stopped by the Alaskan Wild Berry and Chocolate factory. Each family unit was dropped off either at the proper airline terminal or their specific hotel, which is a blessing when travelling with several pieces of luggage. A special stop in front of the house in Anchorage we lived in 28 yr ago was very much appreciated and out of the way. A quick photo and we were on our way again. Additionally, it was recommended that we check our luggage at a downtown hotel for several hours rather that hang around the airport (no lounge at all) until our midnight flight. We did that and spent time walking downtown and to Ship Creek to watch the anglers haul in their King Salmon. It brought back fond memories. Popular local restaurants were pointed out and we enjoyed our dinner at a local bar/restaurant that was recommended and that we visited regularly 28 years ago. Do allow 5 or 6 hours. It is not just a pick up and drop off service. I very very highly recommend this tour and transportation from Whittier to Anchorage. It was worth every cent and was an enjoyable trip. 5 star treatment and tour!!

Best way to get from Whittier Port to Anchorage, brewery food trucks and chocolate factory were huge hits.
martha_j, Jun 2026
Driver/tour guide was very friendly and very informed. Much better way to get to anchorage (instead of the train).
Rachel_K, Jun 2026
We had just gotten off a cruise and were pretty tired, but this tour was entertaining enough to be worth one last sightseeing venture. We saw beautiful scenery, learned Alaska facts, and heard some terrible jokes. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that needs a ride from Whittier and has time to spend before their flight out of Anchorage. It was genuinely better than a lot of tours I've taken.
Mark_W, Jun 2026
Very good excursion that ended at Anchorage airport. A little disappointed that we didn’t stop longer at the sea plane base as we got to the airport very early for our midnight flight
Kiang_L, Jun 2026
The driver/guide , Kris, was very talented and friendly. He sang very well. He was a runner, boxer, school bus driver, and city bus driver. The tour was very pleasant.
Raymond_P, Jun 2026
We had a great trip to Anchorage after the cruise. Dan did an excellent job on making us feel welcome. We made several stops along the way that were photo opportunities. One time he pulled to the side of the road when he saw moose - Photo. I'd highly recommend this if your cruise ship ends in Whittier and need a way to get to Anchorage to fly home.
Elizabeth_M, Jun 2026
Great way to spend time before flying out of Anchorage. We enjoyed all of our six stops. Dan, our White Ravens Tours guide, was engaging and informative with history, facts, and personal stories...all with joy. Would recommend to others.
Irene_L, Jun 2026
Guide is knowledgeable and friendly. Visited many sites on a half day transfer. Good way to spend time to tour and transfer. Guide helps with taking photos and on time. Viator 's communication is strong. We like the reminders and day prior to the trip excellent follow up and very responsive.
Thomasina_F, Jun 2026
On trip from port into Anchorage it is much better to use the day looking at sites rather than driving straight in. Lots to view lots of places and learn insights of actually living in the area from a local.
Kelly_M, Jun 2026
This was exactly the kind of excursion I love—getting genuine local insight from someone who lives it every day, not just during tourist season. Dan, our guide and driver, knew all the best photo spots and had endless stories and history to share about the area. By the end, everyone in the group felt like he was a new best friend. I’d happily do this again, as the wilderness and wildlife are always changing, and I’m sure Dan will always know the perfect places and times to visit.

This was a great way to get from port to Anchorage! Dan was a great guide, incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly! Highly recommend!
Jessica_T, Jun 2026
We had a wonderful day with our guide, Kris! He was informative, friendly, and made the history come to life, having grown up in the area. We loved the stop at the Conservation Center where we could see bears, moose, musk ox, porcupines, arctic foxes, lynx cats, a badger, and a wolf close up! The stop at the brewery for lunch had 2 food trucks- and both were really good! We loved the stop for chocolate, too, and were able to sample all kinds of yummy treats- the kids loved the ice cream! We enjoyed seeing the seaplanes in Anchorage. All in all, it was a wonderful way to spend the day to see more of beautiful Alaska versus just heading straight to the airport after our cruise.
Our bonus was hearing Kris sing his original song of, “Viva Alaska!” (in Elvis style, of course!).
Ronald_L, May 2026
More beautiful scenery, explored animal park, chocolate shop, and Anchorage's private airplane parking. Well informed and friendly narration!
Monica_B, May 2026
Dan was great. He was very informative. We wanted to see a moose in the wild and he found a mom that had just had 2 babies....great experience. I highly recommend White Raven. You will not be disappointed.
Roseann_K, May 2026
The tour guide from white raven tours that we had was excellent and very knowledgeable. He taught us all about Alaska and gave us insight information that we did not
know. I will definitely take the tour again
Eileen_M, May 2026
Very friendly and knowledgeable drivers. Chris even sang for us. Nice tour of nature and a very nice stop for lunch. Wish it was a little longer. Lol
Adam_B, May 2026
Dan was a great guide. The scenic stops were quick and efficient due to cold and rainy weather. But we had plenty of time at the Alaska Animal Conservation Center. He even took us to an extra stop that is typically part of their city tour - Alaska Sausage and Seafood - free samples of their various smoked salmon and halibut , and reindeer sausage! Wanted us to see a moose in the wild, which we did! He had good information to share and offered dinner recommendations for those of us with late flights. A great way to travel to Anchorage if you can take the extra time.
Response from Host, May 2026
We're so glad you enjoyed the tour and we really hope you come back to visit soon
SusanPaige_R, May 2026
Dan was an Interesting and informative guide! Enjoyed the unique stops! Comfortable travel. Bottled water and snacks provided.
Victoria_G, May 2026
Our tour was great! He showed us multiple cool spots. He went out of his way to try to find wildlife for us. He even made an extra stop since we had time, and it was very cool. He was so nice and seemed to be very friendly with everyone at each stop. He also gave many great recommendations for downtown Anchorage, if you'd rather get dropped off there.
Nicole_B, May 2026
Booked this last minute after our Princess Whittier Disembarkation ($100 cheaper than transfers offered by Princess!) and loved it! Dan was so kind and punctual. Nice small group of 13 and comfortable large black van. Made lots of scenic stops at Portage Glacier/Lake, Wildlife Center, brewery with delicious food trucks, and chocolate store. Great local insight and stories about Alaska. Loved the flexibility of pulling over if wildlife were around. Also took us to see the largest Air Sea Base. Would highly recommend this tour and would do it again! Dropped us off at Airport but also gave us option to explore downtown.

Kim and Dan were very nice and accommodating. The tour was really good with a lot of information along the way.
