The tour with Amy was fantastic! She was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. She did a great job giving us chronological context and was able to answer all of our questions. It was also pretty hot and she was sensitive to that by getting us in the shade whenever possible. It felt like she really loved sharing her city.

What an amazing experience! I learned so much about historic St. Augustine - from the influence of the Spanish, French, and British to Henry Flager’s many contributions to St. Augustine’s place in our nation’s civil rights story. Russ was incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining, patient, and funny! We would love to sign up again. I highly recommend this amazing experience. I now look at St. Augustine with new eyes.

Evan guided the tour all around the main area of St. Augustine. You could tell he’s fascinated with the history, a true St. Augustine history maven. It was quite hot outside, but he was super considerate to find shade at each location. If you want an in-depth history lesson alongside amazing food recommendations, I cannot recommend this tour enough!

    John_B, May 2026
I would say it was up close and personal. We are very fortunate to have the guide for just myself and my husband and we went on such a superior tour. I don’t know but could only hope others have the same experience as we did. We went with a young man named Evan, who was an expert in history and kept us entertained with stories, etc..

This was not much of a historical tour but rather a bar restaurant endorsing gig. I highly do NOT recommend this tour. There was a lot of BS stories. Wasted my money

    Response from Host, May 2026

After reading this review, we honestly questioned whether you experienced the same tour as the rest of the group. Our Historic Walking Tour is specifically designed as a fast-paced overview of more than 460 years of St. Augustine history in approximately 90 minutes. Topics regularly covered include the city’s Spanish founding, Pedro Menéndez, the colonial street grid, the transfer between multiple flags, Civil Rights history, the Gilded Age, and the evolution of St. Augustine into the modern city it is today. These stories are rooted in documented local history, which makes the claim that they were “BS stories” especially surprising to read. As a company known for our award-winning food and drink experiences, we also enjoy highlighting some of our favorite restaurants, museums, landmarks, and local businesses along the route to help guests better experience the city during their stay. That is meant to enhance the overall visitor experience in St. Augustine, not replace the history that is the core focus of this tour. After receiving this review, we personally followed up with your guide and other guests from the same tour and learned that portions of your group were frequently engaged in separate conversations, fell behind the group multiple times, and ultimately chose to leave before the tour concluded. Under those circumstances, it would have been difficult to fully follow the historical narrative and context being presented throughout the experience. We are extremely proud of our team and the consistently outstanding feedback our guides receive for being knowledgeable, engaging, and historically accurate.
