Absolutely incredible- Alex was a wealth of knowledge and you could tell that he really enjoyed the city and the rich history. He altered the pace to account for my mother and provided water breaks as well.

I would say it was up close and personal. We are very fortunate to have the guide for just myself and my husband and we went on such a superior tour. I don’t know but could only hope others have the same experience as we did. We went with a young man named Evan, who was an expert in history and kept us entertained with stories, etc..

Evan did a great job. He truly knew St. Augustine’s history. I’d love to come back for an African American history tour if it were ever made available.

This was not much of a historical tour but rather a bar restaurant endorsing gig. I highly do NOT recommend this tour. There was a lot of BS stories. Wasted my money
Response from Host, May 2026
After reading this review, we honestly questioned whether you experienced the same tour as the rest of the group.
Our Historic Walking Tour is specifically designed as a fast-paced overview of more than 460 years of St. Augustine history in approximately 90 minutes. Topics regularly covered include the city’s Spanish founding, Pedro Menéndez, the colonial street grid, the transfer between multiple flags, Civil Rights history, the Gilded Age, and the evolution of St. Augustine into the modern city it is today. These stories are rooted in documented local history, which makes the claim that they were “BS stories” especially surprising to read.
As a company known for our award-winning food and drink experiences, we also enjoy highlighting some of our favorite restaurants, museums, landmarks, and local businesses along the route to help guests better experience the city during their stay. That is meant to enhance the overall visitor experience in St. Augustine, not replace the history that is the core focus of this tour.
After receiving this review, we personally followed up with your guide and other guests from the same tour and learned that portions of your group were frequently engaged in separate conversations, fell behind the group multiple times, and ultimately chose to leave before the tour concluded. Under those circumstances, it would have been difficult to fully follow the historical narrative and context being presented throughout the experience.
We are extremely proud of our team and the consistently outstanding feedback our guides receive for being knowledgeable, engaging, and historically accurate.

Amy and her knowledge of St Augustine is a true reflection of her passion for storytelling. This experience was a highlight of our circumference of the Florida Peninsula. I would be saddened if I did not take this tour. Better than reading 5 history books. Bravo!

Evan was an excellent guide. We learned a lot and enjoyed it thoroughly. Evan had interesting stories as well as great understanding of the city’s history. He even gave us some good dining suggestions.
Liz_M, Apr 2026
Evan was knowledgeable and entertaining. Saw some interesting sites. I would recommend that the guide use a microphone. When walking forward, if we were at the back of the group we could not hear his comments.
Damon_R, Apr 2026
Ross shared about important history in St. Augustine. We followed up on several of his recommendations. Had an amazing dinner at the Drunken Horse restaurant. Went to see Cora Tyson's house. Next door to her house is the ACCORD Civil Rights museum which had a meet and greet the next day that we attended. Extraordinary visit with eyewitnesses to the events in 1964 in St. Augustine that helped push the Civil Rights Act through a filibuster in congress. Also toured Flagler College.
Bridgett_B, Apr 2026
It was a lovely tour and our tour guide had a good sense of humor. Our guide was knowledgeable about the history of the area.
He later sent restaurant guide and a few ideas on other excursions
