Must-Do Walking Tour of St. Augustine

    Stephen_E, Apr 2026
Evan was an excellent guide. We learned a lot and enjoyed it thoroughly. Evan had interesting stories as well as great understanding of the city’s history. He even gave us some good dining suggestions.

    Enjoyable Tour

    Liz_M, Apr 2026
Evan was knowledgeable and entertaining. Saw some interesting sites. I would recommend that the guide use a microphone. When walking forward, if we were at the back of the group we could not hear his comments.

Do this early in your trip so you can follow up on Ross's suggestions later.

    Damon_R, Apr 2026
Ross shared about important history in St. Augustine. We followed up on several of his recommendations. Had an amazing dinner at the Drunken Horse restaurant. Went to see Cora Tyson's house. Next door to her house is the ACCORD Civil Rights museum which had a meet and greet the next day that we attended. Extraordinary visit with eyewitnesses to the events in 1964 in St. Augustine that helped push the Civil Rights Act through a filibuster in congress. Also toured Flagler College.

Great experience to walk around the central district to learn facts about the city of St. Augustine, its founding and the important people that impacted the growth of this city!

St. Augustine Experiences delivers an exceptional local tour! 5 stars!

    Allyson_B, Apr 2026
Alex and St. Augustine Experiences was incredibly informed, his tour was obviously well-researched, and his communication was super helpful. I learned so much on this 90-minute walking tour, but the pace felt fun, interesting, and animated without ever feeling like a school history lesson. I appreciated the blend of architecture, history, social justice, and economics that Alex brought to this tour. I would absolutely take advantage of a tour that Alex offered in any city! The cherry on top were his text messages with recommendations for the best spots for drinks, dining, and dessert in the city. We took his recommendation for lunch and dessert and could not be happier. Thanks for an amazing experience, Alex!

    Great walking tour with Alex

Alex D was amazing. So enthusiastic about history of St Augustine. Well researched and wanted us to really understand the uniqueness of this city. He made sure to tell us also about restaurants and pubs that he enjoys and that makes experience special. He is very knowledgeable and clearly enjoys being a tour guide

It was super casual but very informative. Lots of stops along the way at places you would just walk past without a tour guide. Lots of history of the town as well as recommendations of things to do and places to visit.

    Mark_S, Mar 2026
Amy was a superb guide. Her enthusiasm and knowledge of St. Augustine and its history really made the tour one of our best. She allowed us to go at our own pace and linger on some of the interesting locations. At the end of the tour, she even offered to share her recommendations for good restaurants in the area.

    Walked tour.

Do not go into any homes , museums or fort. Russ was very knowledgeable and definitely knew the area.

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thank you for the kind words about Russ! We’re very lucky to have guides like him who are so passionate and knowledgeable about St. Augustine. As a small, family-run company that pours a lot of heart into these tours, feedback like this can be a little tough for us to read. Nowhere in our tour descriptions on our website or any third-party booking platforms do we state that the tour includes entering museums, historic homes, landmarks, or the fort. Our 90-minute History Tour is designed to cover more than 460 years of St. Augustine’s story in a short amount of time. It’s meant to be a fun and engaging overview of the city while exploring the historic district on foot. Many guests enjoy using the experience as a great introduction to the city, and along the way we also point out favorite restaurants, landmarks, and historic sites so visitors can decide what they’d like to explore more deeply afterward.

    Teresa_S, Mar 2026
Very interesting. Worth the time. Wear comfortable shoes. Some cobblestone streets are uneven. Plan extra time after tour to walk along St. George st and other quaint side streets. Plenty of good restaurants eat lunch or dinner or for a refreshing cocktail.
