- This is a passenger-only ferry service. Autos, etc. are not allowed.
- Restrictions occur with bikes and dogs; you must advise at time of booking if you need to bring a bike or dog on board
- A US Passport, Passport Card, Enhanced Driver License or an Enhanced ID Card (EDL/ID) is REQUIRED to cross the US/Canadian border by land and sea. A Passport is required for air travel. A Passport Card or EDL/ID are NOT valid for air travel.
- Persons with a felony may be denied entrance into Canada. A DUI is considered a felony in Canada.
- Passengers are allowed 1 small carry on. Checked luggage is $20.00 per piece of luggage, each way.
- Please let us know ahead of time if you need wheelchair accessibility and we will arrange to have you boarded early.
- If you are traveling with an infant 11 months or younger please include their name and date of birth in reservation
- FRS Clipper's Comfort and Vista Class seating is available for upgrade. Please call tour provider for pricing and availability.
- You must advise your citizenship at the time of booking in the "Special Requirements" box. Please also advise full names and dates of birth for all passengers as they appear on passports. Your booking cannot be confirmed without these details.

The advertisement says it is 3 hours each way, but for us it was 4 hours each way. The captain said we were making great time each way, so that sounded normal. We did this as a day trip to Victoria, and I’m not sure we would have if we would have known it was 8 hours round trip for a ~4 hour excursion.
There were quite a few children screaming and running around- bumping into other passengers/causing chaos- and many parents on their phones. While I understand kids are kids, this felt more like day care running around since they couldn’t get lost on the boat. A kids deck or a place to take screaming children would be valuable so all passengers don’t have to pay the price of absentee parenting.
We also had to wait each disembarkation for passengers who need extra time to get off the boat first. I’m not sure what sense that makes to make everyone wait for the people who need extra time. Wouldn’t it be better for everyone involved to have the people who need extra time to disembark last? Just detracted from the overall experience.
As soon as we got aboard we went to the galley for some breakfast and 1/2 the menu was already sold out, along with many of the drink choices. It felt like an unprepared staff day. Just a bummer.
The staff was friendly though.

I loved this ship to Victoria and I’d totally do it again in the future when I’m back to visiting Seattle. 5-6 hours isn’t enough time to see everything there in a day, so if time allows, stay overnight! I’d take this ride even if I couldn’t get off the ship just to see the beauty of the PNW.

Went on solo trip to Victoria for day exploring. High speed clipper V ferry took 3 hours to get there. Was upgraded for $20 to vista upstairs seating. Coffee, snacks and mimosa were good and fairly priced. Everyone was very nice and look forward to taking ferry again.

Easy and awesome to get to the island without complications and perfect time to hang out the shopping streets and time to visit the park. Planning what to watch is good before to get there but if not stay a weekend is good thinking. Smooth travel.

They did not have my booking. It took an additional 15 minutes to check in.
I did not like all the kids on the boat running back and forth, baby screaming and the staff did nothing. And I mean literally screaming from boarding to about 10 minutes before the end of us returning back to Seattle.

Would recommend staying 2 days in Victoria or definitely plan your day trip to get the most. We planned on visiting the castle and it was closed, so definitely check schedules for availability prior.

This company left out critical information for departure times and arrival times. We almost missed the boat literally by 5 minutes!

To allow more time in Victoria, the boat should leave earlier in the morning since it takes almost 3 hours to get to the destination.

Easy to navigate. Beautiful city. However, we weren’t able to get the full experience of being on the deck due to weather. No one’s fault. Also some activities aren’t available during the week as they are on weekends. Maybe go on a weekend.

It was a nice experience. Only thing was that viator did not send the information on time so had to wait for my boarding passes. They also assigned my seat to someone else so I had to upgrade. Also doesn't mention anything about departure times from Victoria so make sure you look on frs clipper website.

The tour was very affordable price for what you got. The ship to take you to Victoria is clean and efficient. They also gave recommendations on things to do in Victoria overall it was a great trip for the price!

Ticket agent told me my "Star" ID was the same as an Enhanced ID, so when we arrived to get on boat, we were not allowed to board. Make sure your agents understand the different states ID's. Ruined our whole trip.

Nice day trip to Victoria. Cafe on board with good selection of refreshments. Walked around town, found a nice pub to eat lunch and hang out in (it rained the day we were there). Definitely a good activity to do when visiting Seattle.

Ferry ride was very pleasurable, traveled with cousins haven't seen in ten years. Lots of catching up to do. Even though it rained in Victoria bc we had a great time walking around shopping and having lunch.

Perfect trip to spend the day in beautiful Victoria! Ferry ride went smooth with great service. Hop on and Hop off gave a good tour of the town and enjoyed the ride . Amazed at how they made those turns in tight curvy roads but they did it with ease ! I recommend this day experience! Beautiful scenery!

Amazing trip. Not a tour as such - just a ferry ride across to Vancouver Island. We bought a tour from the ferry to Butchart Gardens with high tea which we really enjoyed. The gardens are stunning. We saw a pod of Orcas on the ferry which we slowed down for to take photos.
