Our tour guide, Pascal, was extremely knowledgeable of the subject matter and was very engaging as a guide. He is a long-time resident of Savannah with family buried in the cemetery and his enthusiasm for the subject matter and love of the city really shine through. It was a great way to learn the true history of Savannah going waaaaay back in an interesting and entertaining way. We would all definitely go back for more. The cemetery itself is also interesting and beautiful.

Paschal was terrific, his knowledge is extensive and his commentary was in-depth and so interesting. He welcomed questions and was so amiable and courteous, the 2 hours with him just flew by. Of all the tours guides we engaged during our Savannah visit, he was hands-down the best; our only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend with him. Simply the best!!!

Pascal was super knowledgeable about the history of Savannah and the cemetery. He doesn’t spread folklore or ghost stories. There’s no need when the historical accounts are so interesting. The pace was good. We moved along while still having time to capture great photos. I’d love to go on tours with him at Savannah’s other historic cemeteries.

Excellent tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide! I enjoyed knowing more about the history of Savannah and Bonaventure Cemetery! The flowers and gardens in the cemetery were beautiful in March!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Bonaventure Cemetery tour with Hannah. Her depth of knowledge, including of so many Savannah people, families, and events, made the cemetery come alive (pun intended). Her enthusiasm was infectious, and we were frankly quite surprised when the two hours was over. We highly recommend this tour for a better understanding of interesting Savannah history.

It's interesting you raise criticism with fact vs. fiction yet don't elaborate. Since we can't really address anything specific we will thank you for finding some favor at 3 Stars, but for the average reader, please know that our guide Hannah is one of the highest reviewed in Bonaventure for both her style and for her love of history, her tour leaning heavily into facts basically. As to topics of lore? Show us a cemetery without any and we'll show you a boring cemetery! But this is Savannah and this is Bonaventure! You may have confused us!

Hannah was just a fountain of interesting information about Savannah, the people who built it and were buried in this cemetery. She does her own research and finds fascinating little known facts. You can she loves doing this as her side gig. We didn't realize a cemetery could be so interesting.

Hannah is the best tour guide I’ve ever experienced. She expertly weaves stories together to give you context and historically accurate information. As a Savannah local I have been on many tours, both in this cemetery and within the city itself. If you can only take one tour while visiting this city, you should take this one. You will be amazed, educated, and thrilled with the way Hannah conveys her knowledge.

Our tour was in the afternoon and the directions for the meeting area were easy to follow. The tour was excellent. We did the 2 hour tour and it flew by. The guide was entertaining and informative and stayed at a pace we could follow so we never felt rushed. I highly recommend this tour. We loved it!

This is about 3 miles out of town. You will need a car.
Our guide was Paschal and he was passionate about the history of this cemetery and the Savannah area. He is a historian and a theologian and brought so much insight to the gravestones & statues that we were seeing and the people who were to be remembered there.
