Our tour guide Brad was knowledgeable and funny. We really enjoyed it. We learned a lot about the book and its background, even though we’d all just read the book in our book club.

Whether you saw the movie or you read the book this tour gives you exact locations and William was VERY informative. I would highly suggest this tour. But bring plenty of water if you’re touring in the summer

You took the Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil tour and your guide did nothing more than quote passages in the book and in the movie. The comments weren’t his opinion but rather the opinions of the characters in the book. Surely you have a thicker skin than this.

Our tour guide was excellent and gave a ton of information. He definitely knew the story and shared a lot of information that we were unaware of. I appreciate the fact that he let us know the Mercer Williams home can possibly be going residential, so my friend and I went on and toured the home while it’s still available. We enjoyed all of our tour and realized we chose the best one! Thank you

We had a wonderful time on our tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and they even brought magazine clippings from the events surrounding the movie. If you get a chance to go don't miss out!

We were on a short time scheduled vacation from Illinois. They called the evening before to tell us the tour guide could not make it and they rescheduled the tour for the next day. That day coincided with our schedule so I informed the we could not make that as we would be leaving that evening and asked for my $90 back. I have yet to receive my refund!!!

It takes 5-7 working days for a refund to post. Sometimes sooner. As of today, it’s only been 4 working days. Calling us thieves? A wordsmith she is not. It starts with the incorrect spelling of thieves.

It was disappointing that this tour did not go into the Mercer-Williams house. It would be nice to know ahead of time. I know it’s going to be a private residence again soon, but did not know that it wouldn’t include the house at the time of booking. It also didn’t include the club where Lady Chablis performed. For the few things we saw, I could have probably done this tour on my own with a little bit of research.

Thank you for the review you left for the Midnight tour and I’m sorry to hear it didn’t meet your expectations.
I wanted to clarify that the Mercer House doesn’t offer tours to tour groups. Never has. The club where Chablis worked(Club One) is on the other side of the historic district and doesn’t open until 5:00pm.
If we included these additions, the tour would be 5 hours, you would have to walk 4.5 miles and the tour would cost $90.00.
Instead, your tour covered the book, the movie and a ton of behind the scenes facts which has made this tour a favorite for over 25 years!

It was quite interesting hearing the "behind the scenes" details and nuances of the writer, characters portrayed, the people who came to Savannah to bring the story alive, as well as the actors that played them.

Got a text from Brad who says he’s the owner. Guide has Covid. I couldn’t go a different day, so Brad says a refund will be processed. It’s been over 2 weeks and no refund. And now he’s not responding to my texts. Sad that someone in the service industry would need $30 so bad that they’d steal. Obviously I can’t tell you what this tour is like. But I wouldn’t give my money knowingly to someone this dishonest and who’s such a poor businessman.

My husband and I enjoyed how informative our guide Brad was. Learned so much about Savannah and the history of many prominent residents. He also had great photographs with very interesting storylines of the characters in the movie. Worth every penny.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable! You have to have read the book to understand the tour. Our tour guide seemed to have a personal relationship with the characters in the book which made it so much more interesting.

Fabulous tour full of behind the scenes tidbits and history. Best enjoyed if you have already either read the book or seen the movie. Tour is all walking and you stop at several “landmarks” from the book and movie where “insider” info is shared, which also gives more detailed context to the story and what was happening not only in the original story but also in the making of the movie. If you are a fan of this story, this is a “must do” tour.

We enjoyed walking through parks, experiencing scenery/architecture depicted in the book.
We especially liked interacting with our guide as he had a great way of bringing us into dialogue, asking questions and reminding us if we forgot details. He was great. I apologize to have forgotten his name.

Brad, our tour guide, was fascinating, walking us through various parts of the movie, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. He kept the tour so informative and answered all of our questions. We walked through parts of Savannah that we did not know existed, through some Squares and parts of the Historic District. This is the best tour in Savannah.

It was fantastic it was so interesting because the guide knew some of these people. He could tell us things no regular tour guide could. Growing up in Savannah gave him an insight into how these people really lived.

The information describing this tour never mentioned that it would be wise to have either read the book or seen the movie. Having not done either I did not really know what was going on in the characters that the guide mentioned. The weather turns bad and he’s got stormy and the tour had to be and early

Thank you for the review. The guests met for the tour and immediately complained about having to walk.
We started the tour and they said they had not read the book or seen the movie. Not a problem. The guide was going to explain the book and movie as they went and even had a book of pictures!
Before the group even made it to the first stop, they left the group and went in the Cathedral without ever saying a word. The guide called them to find out if they got lost and they said they were having trouble walking and that it was about to rain. It did rain and the tour was rescheduled for the following day. They were unable to attend so we issued them a refund.
We don’t normally chronicle the details of a tour but the review was far from accurate.

If you have read the book or seen the movie, this is a fantastic tour. Brad was so knowledgeable about all things “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” and gave me insights that only a local would know! Even though it was a rainy and chilly afternoon, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the tour. I highly recommend this to anyone who is visiting Savannah.

Eight of my book club members took this tour, and we enjoyed it very much. Brad was our guide and owner of The Savannah Walks tour company. He lived in Savannah as a child and has lots of inside stories about the book, the movie, and the characters. He went over and beyond, extending the tour time, customizing the walk so we could end at the Mercer House where we had tour reservations, even helping us install and use a parking app so we could add some parking time. Very pleasant and knowledgeable person. Price was affordable and well worth it!
