Topher was fantastic! I am a resident of Salem, but I always take friends and family visiting on a tour of the town, and I recommend this one over and above anything else. Topher is funny and knowledgeable, shows pictures/evidence of paranormal activity and takes his tour to the ‘hotspots’ in town. He has an excellent knowledge of the entire history of our town, presents it in a clear way, and answers all questions. As members of the tour, he lets you use, teaches how to use some tools for ghost hunting, and at each spot gives you time to use them to capture your own evidence. This tour is a MUST when visiting our town.

Family friendly ghost adventure

Host guides the group through Salem, stopping at sites that has historically triggered ghost hunting tools. The sites are very different from the history and witch tours. Our guide was Topher. Not only was he great at explaining the equipment and the sites we visited, he added other historical perspectives throughout the evening regarding more modern history, architecture, and even the locals today.

This is a hands on experience you should not miss in Salem! It was far more a hunt than a tour(which we were hoping for and loved)-but that doesn’t mean it didn’t lack great detail and tidbits!

You MUST do this tour when visiting Salem!

Different than your average tour

Fun walking tour with equipment. Samantha had great stories and was easy to talk to! At each location, she gives you some background information and then lets you have time to investigate. Fyi—under “meeting points”, Viator gave us 4 meeting points. We started at the one closest to our hotel, but we were supposed to go with the first listed (not clear or stated). Another guide led us to our tour quickly and we got started right away.

This was an amazing experience! Samantha was extremely knowledgeable and personable. She was very friendly and professional and made the experience memorable. Our group enjoyed how she gave us the history of each point that we stopped at as well as the paranormal activity related to that point. This is a must do on your Salem trip!
