We learned a lot about the Circus Maximus and the Baths of Caracalla. We definitely would not have appreciated either place as much on our own.

Not a lot of crowds. People seem to skip this amazing complex but rhey really shouldn't. It's truly a wonder to behold. Our tour guide was fantastic. She answered all of our questions and even provided my wife her fan when she saw hit hit we were in the sun. She was excellent.

It is a great place to visit. The name Caracalla bath is slightly misleading. It is not just a bath but a great community centre in ancient Rome with Bath, library, jym, shopping complex, meeting rooms , garden all in one place. A great place to visit and hang around .

Ernesto (sp?) was an awesome tour guide! He answered questions and gave great detail of the bathhouses and its history. He pacing was great too, he walked slow enough to not rush the tour and talked slow enough for us to understand. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone.

Our Tour starter early as everyone was on time. The Tour operator was great. Very informative and friendly. He even spent extra time answering all of our questions. Our tour went about 30 minutes over which was nice. I would recommend this.

My wife and I were the only ones on this tour. The guide came a long way just to take us on this tour. The guide provided us a considerable amount of history about the structure and purpose of the baths. This was one of my favorite tours in Italy. While it may not be one of the most historical places that tourists might want to see, like the Coloseum, it was less crowded, and a great experience because if the "personalized" tour. I highly recommend this. It only takes a couple hours but the amount of history revealed makes it a great tour.

A must do in Rome! Very close to all the other tourist sites but much less crowded. VERY impressive. We had a great guide, Sam. He gave a great history lesson and told some interesting stories. You go right inside and you cal feel the size of these huge ruins

This tour was occurred outside in an open field area. At 8:00 a.m. it was pouring rain and there were severe thunderstorm warnings issued by the weather service for Rome for the entire day.The weather warning stated to use extreme Caution for the day due to thunderstorms. I contacted Viator first thing in the morning.
We would have had to leave the hotel by 8:30 AM in order to be at the meeting point on time. I told the Viator cust service rep that we needed someone to advise on whether the tour was canceled prior to our leaving the hotel. They could not help us because the office of the travel guide didn’t open until 9. Cust serv rep thought that since there were threats of thunderstorms that the tour could be cancelled. So we opted to not take an Uber to the pick-up location with the anticipation the tour would be cancelled.. At 11:30 AM we were advised we were not approved for a refund.. I believe the refund request was appropriate as it would not have been safe touring in an open field with thunderstorms overhead, and considering we receivewd an "Caution" weather notification.

we are sorry to hear that you could not join our tour.
If the tour was not happening, we would have definitely told you ahead of time. The visit was running regularly though, as the locations were all open and the guide was waiting for you at the meeting point.
We understand that the rain can be uncomfortable but we did mention in the voucher that we would be the ones to reach out with either a phone call or a cancellation should the tour not happen.
We apologise for any inconveniences this might have caused.

This tour is 90% baths and, rightly so, less time at Circus Maximos. Tour guide, Robin with Tori’s, was pleasant and super knowledgeable and took time to answer any questions we had. The baths were amazing!

Our family were the only participants. We really enjoyed visiting and learning more about the Caracalla Baths. Its incredibly well preserved. The guide was great — she provided important context and history that made the visit fun and educational. There were maybe 5-10 other visitors at the site, while there are thousands of tourists at the Colosseum down the street. This site is a hidden gem.

This tour was short for what it is, about 15 min looking at circus Maximus (from outside the railings) and 1 hr 15 min at the baths of caracalla. Feel like this could be done without a tour guide, using an audio guide and reading the signs at the sites. The tour guide was funny though.

The tour guide Gabriel is a Doctor in Archeology, which we could definitely tell after he explained to us so many facts and details regarding the history of these therms as well as the Circus Maximus. He is very nice, and an excellent professional. We really enjoyed this tour and we highly recommend it.

I thought this tour was very interesting and worthwhile . I have been to Rome before but had never visited these sites . I thought it was wonderful . The only reason I’m not giving it a five is because our guise was a little hard to understand but he was very nice n helpful .
