The catacombs were unique and the tour of them was informative, but my favorite part was actually the bus ride. I loved our driver, he was so kind and shared his love for the city of Rome making side stops at ancient aqueducts, the Aurelian wall entrance, and pointing out several historical facts and sites of the city along the way.

The catacombs tour itself was pretty interesting and well done. But here is what I found out after going. We followed a tour guide to the bus (about a 10 min walk) we took a bus to the catacombs. My child was feeling sick so we asked if we could just take an uber back. They said we could not because the driver needed us on the bus. The driver was standing there and we were 3 of 6 total. Then to clench the whole deal. The catacombs tour is $10 if you just go there. I paid $60 more for bus tides and extra time wasted. Lesson learned just go yo it yourself.

Group was too large. We were at the back of the group and could not hear very well. I could hear another (different language group) which made it more difficult. Catacombs were amazing. Tour guide was knowledgeable. Very informative.

The tour was wonderful.
The tour company was responsible for the transportation to and from the site.
The bus was musty and old.
Upon finishing the tour we had to wait 25 minutes for the bus to return to take us back to the pick up location. We were told that the driver would be waiting for us.

The actual tour of the catacombs was nice. We had a great priest from Africa who gave the tour
The tour operator is horrible.
We had a 10:30 tour booked, we arrived at the tourist location at around 10:00 am and the line was out the door (for other purposes).
We waited in line for 45 minutes, and mentioned to employees walking in and out that we had a 10:30 tour. They told us to just stay in line.
When our turn came, of course we missed the tour time so they rescheduled us to 2:30.
We had other things to do but they dont care. When it comes to getting on a bus to go to the catacombs they rotate the bus every hour or so, so you could be stuck waiting for up to an hour after your tour.
I think you can take a taxi directly to the tour site and book directly at the catacombs. I recommend that because this tour operator will borderline make you feel abandoned

We met at the meeting point which was easy to find, they handed us off to a guide who spent more time looking at her phone than anything else. We then had to walk for around 400m to a bus, that drove us to the catacombs. When we got there the bus driver went and got us tickets from the ticket office which cost $10 each, we paid a total of $230 for a bus ride and a $40 tour which was done by the guides at the catacombs. Get a taxi out there yourself and buy a $10 ticket. Total rip off!

Fantastic tour. Our guide on the bus was fantastic, great knowledge, friendly, discussed so many different sights on way to catacombs. This was dreadful. We were shown a video when we arrived about Rome which had no bearing on the visit to the Catacombs. The tour of the Catacombs took 45mins and we were told we were being picked up. We waited 45mins only to be told there was no room on the bus. We missed our next tour. I wasted afternoon.

This was a great guided tour, our guide spoke great English and was so knowledgeable, he had been working at the Catacombes for 7 years, and was lucky enough to have gone down the 30m to the lowest point underneath. The Rome Catacombes are now owned by the Vatican and will no longer dig any further but will recover what they can and educate people as too what was used as cemetery in BC and AD. Very knowledgeable guide. I just felt the company we used did not advise of what our entry entailed. I thought I would see, walls of bones, skulls and so on ( I know, morbid) like France, but as our guide explains, the crypts in Rome were all built on volcanic ash, that "the workers" dug and dug as soft dirt, until it mixed with oxygen, then turned hard. So with thousands of years the bones had decomposed except the few who were in marble coffins. I would go again, but probably a private tour with no time limit.

Guide from tourist office took us to meet bus, she barely spoke to us. Bus ride was about 20mins, bus driver never spoke to us throughout journey. He kept us waiting 45mins before coming back to pick us up, then he dropped us off in the middle of nowhere, not where he picked us up. The tour guide at the Catacombs was nice enough but difficult to understand and the tour was rushed, only lasted about 35/40mins. Catacombs were disappointing, we got to see very little of it, worth seeing but not worth going to see. If you really want to see it, take a taxi and just pay the €10 entrance fee. The tour at €59 each was definitely not worth the money.

It was easy to find and a great walk at our pace tour. We didn’t have a guide but enjoyed the experience. The steps were steep coming down. It did close early the day we went but other than that it was an amazing experience! I would recommend to others for sure.

Great tour, very knowledgeable guide. Loved the walk through the ghetto to get to the bus. We found a charming restaurant along the way which we returned to for lunch. I didn’t realize I booked the extra tour for the other catacombs so that was wasted because of schedule.

It was a really fascinating tour and we enjoyed it very much. I wish the tour guide had spoken a little less quickly. We definitely missed a few words. The one very frustrating thing was that the bus driver did not give any instructions for meeting back at the bus. The tour was listed as being a total of 2 hours and we had plans following that we were unable to make because we sat on the bus for half an hour before all the participants returned to the bus. The driver made several trips to the tour site trying to find people, coming back with a few each time. Very frustrating. Simple fix - just tell people to return to the bus immediately following the conclusion of the tour!
