Private transfer from Rome to Sorrento

We travelled from the US to Italy to visit our daughter, who was studying abroad in Sorrento. We wanted to be sure we made the most of our time with her and opted for the car service from Rome straight to our hotel in Sorrento—it was one of the best decisions we made for our trip. Francesco (aka The Barber) was waiting for us outside baggage, scooped up our suitcases, and loaded us into an impeccable Mercedes van, where comfortable seats and water awaited us. He was courteous, humorous, and filled with information about the various towns and regions we passed through. Recognizing we were also travel weary and time lapsed, he also let us enjoy a rest. By the time we arrived in Sorrento, we took his card with a plan to make him our go-to guide. We had a great time exploring Southern Italy with our daughter, and then tasked Francesco with finding the best pizza in Naples before driving us to the train station for the high speed line back to Rome. Francesco was amazing, not just because he was so professional, but he offered recommendations based on our conversations: which platform to find the best coffee in the Naples train station, who has the best gelato in Sorrento, and even explaining why Pompeii’s incredibly fertile, mineral-rich volcanic soil (thanks to the eruption of Mt Vesuvius) makes for some pretty incredible wine. All in all, we are already planning a return to Italy, and that trip will absolutely include Francesco.
