I went to the class with my wife and sister who are both excellent cooks. I don’t cook. I was expecting to go through motions and then eat their food at the end. Instead, I actually got into it and had a lot of fun - and ate the food that I cooked at the end. The key was Matteo, who was very skilled and knowledgeable of his craft with a subtle but funny sense of humor. He kept us all engaged the entire time. And the food we made was simple and delicious. I highly recommend.

We learned taboos of Italian cooking we have practiced for years like not using egg wash for Ravioli or adding oil to pasta water. We learned how to knead dough and that simplicity was sometimes best.

My family always likes to do a cooking class when we travel, and we are so happy we did with Matteo! Matteo was a real expert on cooking, and he gave us great advice. He helped us each cook a delicious meal (each person made their own so there was some friendly competition!). His bread is also out of this world! Matteo was also really knowledgeable about Italian history and also US sports. He was super fun and added to the atmosphere with my family. Don’t debate … it was well worth it!!

Wonderful experience. Matteo was a great teacher and we had a lot of fun. He was funny and great conversationalist, but also not in your face or overly talkative. His English is perfect. You make the sauces, pasta, and tiramisu and eat your own food - so it isn’t mixed all together like some other pasta making classes. There is SO much food afterwards - two full portions of pasta plus dessert. They do have to-go containers if you can’t finish your food. Would definitely recommend this class in Rome, it was a great experience!

We had a great class and experience with Chef Mateo. Everything was well organized and we made homemade ravioli with tomato sauce, cacia e pepe and tiramisu. We learned several new tips…traditional Roman recipes using modern tools. We were greeted with Prosecco and focaccia, and sampled several additional wines. What a great way to spend 3 hours in Rome.

Chef Matteo was fabulous! The whole family had a blast! This was everyone's favorite experience in Rome! Our boys (10 & 13) both had so much fun and also no longer have an excuse to not help cook dinner! :)
