What a breath of fresh air after the crowds and lines of Rome!! Truly a beautiful area with so much to offer - breath taking scenery, authentic dining and historic villages. Fabio was the best - professional, knowledgeable and gracious! He took great care of us and it was really a treat to see this amazing area through the eyes of a guide who knows and loves it so well!

This was one of the top highlights of our trip to Italy!! My family heritage is from this region which made it that much more special to me!! The scenery was so calming and relaxing - the three stops were experiences that you can’t even put into words and Fabio was the more gracious, knowledgeable host!! A must do when in Italy! Fabio does a terrific job of showing the highlights of Abruzzo. The scenery is amazing, the lunch wonderful, and Fabio’s knowledge is vast. My husband and I traveled throughout Italy for over two weeks and this was our favorite booking. It was great to get away from the touristy crowds of Venice, Florence, and Rome.

I wish more travelers would open their minds to visiting Abruzzo and learning about Italian life and history outside of the major tourist destinations. I hope we can all be responsible travelers and respect smaller towns like Abruzzo and not ruin it, but this was easily my favorite part of the our trip. I travelled with my mother, and as two women traveling alone we found Fabio to be very professional, respectful, and courteous. He has great attention to detail and worked very hard to make sure we enjoyed our trip. Moreover, his passion for his home country and Abruzzo itself is apparent. He’s not a guide who operates tours in large cities where he doesn’t have a personal connection to the area. We both thank him for his time and for making our first Italian visit truly memorable.

My friend and I booked this one-day trip from Rome to Abruzzo, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our entire Italy visit! Fabio was super passionate about the region and at the end we were in love with Abruzzo too. He shared so many cool facts—not just about Abruzzo’s food and history, but also about Italy in general. You could tell thet he genuinely love what he does, and that energy made the day even better. We saw beautiful places, visited charming towns, and had some seriously good food. Fabio was also super attentive and made sure we were having a great time throughout the whole time. We can’t recommend this tour enough – it’s absolutely worth it.

If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience this is it. It has been the best excursion in Italy (in two trips) that we have been on.The mountain views are beautiful and far from the crazy crowds of Rome.Seeing shepards and sheepdogs with their flocks was really cool. Fabio is an amazing young man.He is extremely pleasant, energetic and informative. It was a very enjoyable day. I took some great pictures but unfortunately was unable to download them.

Our your guide, Fabio, was really exceptionally good. He was enthusiastic, he managed the group well, and he ensured everyone was able to enjoy all parts of the tour. The area around and at the Rocca was just beautiful. Our lunch was excellent. And Santo Stefano di Sessanio was a great last part of our journey. I recommend this to everyone.

Great trip to the mountains!

Great trip with Fabio! He is very knowledgeable and passionate about Abruzzo. Lunch was amazing as we cooked our own local favorites in the mountains. Rocca Calascio was even better than I imagined. San Stefano was also quite the picturesque village. This trip is a great break from the craziness of Rome and Fabio is so easy to talk to I feel like I have made a new friend.

Fabio was super fantastic!! We cannot say enough good things about this amazing tour. It is unique. We had a truly local Italian BBQ experience surrounded by beautiful scenery, hiking up to a castle and walking around the picturesque villages added a truly special and unforgettable time to our vacation. Fabio, our tour guide, was knowledgeable, kind, experienced and fun. This was the only tour our teenage boys insisted we review with 10 stars. If you are hesitant on booking this tour. DON’T. You will love it.
