The waterhole Canyon is beautifully preserved. Our tour guide Ryan was friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions happily and shared many parts of his culture and family history. The tour was only four people. My son and I were grouped with two other people. The small tour made for a relaxed and fun environment. Ryan played his flute for us which was an unexpected and amazing addition to the tour. The three canyons that you walk through are beautiful. I would recommend this tour to anyone who can only do one while in Page. It has all the colors you’re looking for and all of the history as well. It is a small, family run tour if you’re looking to support a local business. I cannot say enough good things about Ryan and his family. The Waterhole Canyon is the perfect experience for older children who like to adventure. My son was thrilled with the ladder climbs and slot canyons. The slots are not too small and you can always see out above you, so you will not feel claustrophobic.

This canyon is stunning and has its own personality. Lydell was an awesome guide; sharing Navajo culture, history of the land and amazing stories of the canyon. This site is quite memorable and we will definitely come back. It’s like being inside a piece of pottery.

This was a wonderful experience. Ryan was an amazing guide. His demo about how the canyons were created was so helpful. And the slot canyons are just too gorgeous to miss!

Thank you so much for this kind review! We're so happy to hear you had a wonderful experience with Ryan.
It's great that you appreciated his demonstration about how the canyons were created—Ryan enjoys bringing that geology to life. And you're absolutely right: the slot canyons really are too gorgeous to miss! Once you see that light bouncing off those smooth walls, vivid warm hues are created
Thank you for choosing us and for taking the time to share your experience.

This tour was beyond our expectations. Our guide Lydell was not only knowledgeable, friendly and professional but showed a true passion for the canyons and the surrounding culture. This was an A+ experience and well worth your time.

I was able to book this last minute after our kayak trip to antelope canyon was cancelled the morning of due to weather. We could not have asked for a better substitution. The canyon (4 actually) was incredible and our guide could not have been a better fit for our family. He knew all the perfect picture spots and angles for my teen girls. He showed us so much geology and history as we walked through. The best part, we saw not a single other soul other than the 9 of us on our tour. I was expecting crowds like I’d read about in antelope, but it was just us!

Shane, our tour guide was awesome! The two female shuttle drivers were very friendly. The whole experience was amazing. Recommend good shoes or hiking boots!

This is the experience of a lifetime
our Guide Shane was wonderful. He shared his culture with us making this a very unique experience . Small group never more than 14, so no long waits just 2 hours of complete beauty He even played the tribal flute as we walked through the canyons Highly Recommend!

Excellent 2 mile small group tour through slot canyons. Our guide was informative and provided historical information about the canyons and Navajo culture. We did this tour followed by lower Antelope Canyon. Recommend both but preferred the Waterhole due to less crowded and more exposure to canyons

Bryan was our tour guide. He was great. Took amazing pictures. Wear sensible shoes. Not your everyday shoes. The hike in was good but the stairs at the end were tough. I should have worn my knee brace.

Our group had 17 individuals for the 1.5 hour, 2 mile walk through three amazing canyons. Our Navajo guide had interesting stories, helped each group set their cameras for the best photographic experience, stopped at the best photo locations in volunteered to take each group picture at each individual stop. There are ladders, steps, narrow passages, etc., that require dexterity, but our guide offered a ham to each traveler at each tricky spot. The three canyons on the trip are increasingly amazing. The first is a shaped with a wide bottom and very narrow top while the other two are V shaped with very narrow and more challenging agility required and are increasingly amazing. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience.

We were unable to get a tour of Antelope Canyon, so came upon this option. Waterhole Canyon was an excellent experience. The tour took about 1.5 hrs and we never felt rushed. Our tour guide, Shane, shared stories of his Navajo culture and the land well also helping us to capture the best pictures. We loved the ladders and rock scrambling that were part of this tour as well.
Wendy_B, Dec 2025
We really enjoyed the views! Wish the group was a little smaller so the tour guide could talk more and stay with the whole group.

The tour guide is very nice and funny. He tough a lot of his cultures and traditions and also he played the traditional instrument for us.

I loved this tour. I was the only person on my tour and I appreciated that they still accommodated me. Garrett was funny and full of interesting information about the canyons and surrounding areas. The canyons on this tour are particularly beautiful and Garrett pointed out all the great spots and angles to take photos and offered to take photos of me as well. This tour does have a few mildly challenging spots (stairs and tight spaces) and you'll definitely get your heart rate up when you ascend out of the canyon at the end. Highly recommended!

We went to Waterhole Canyon because we like to hike through Slot canyons. We had the last tour of the day and by the end of our tour it was stingy hot with the temps some where over 105 degrees. Our guide was a pleasant gentle man of the Navajo people. It was wonderful to learn about his people and how they lived and live.
Bihong_L, Aug 2025
It was a great experience of the waterhole canyon. Maybe there is not so popular as the other one. But the experience is still really amazing. Few people of our group. Then we can get more time to take a picture. And the tour guy Brain is very friendly, patient, professional telling us the information about the canyon and has a good sight of taking photos for us. We appreciate for him.
Michaela_K, Jul 2025
The trail through the canyon was an unforgettable experience. We truly enjoyed it — just the four of us, parents with our 13- and 15-year-old children, accompanied by our guide MacShayne, who did a fantastic job sharing insights into the local culture and the canyon’s geography. For anyone looking to escape mass tourism, this is the perfect place. The canyon is simply full of natural beauty.
Donnie_H, Jul 2025
Must see! Well worth it. Only negative, it is crowded all the time. Excellent tour! And friend staff
Lynn_K, Jun 2025
Easy walk between Three canyons. Walls of canyon beautiful. Skinny spots and a few ladders. Ryan was our guide he was great. He talked about Navajo culture, pointed out specific rock formations. Helped with best pictures.
Stacy_E, Jun 2025
Brian was amazing! It was a very beautiful informative trip. Beautiful surroundings. The driver was very kind and we could not have had a better guide.
Diane_S, Jun 2025
Our Indian guide, Brian, made the experience extra amazing.
We were fortunate to choose an early morning tour, it was only the 4 of us (all over 68) who have been traveling together.
Brian taught us about the geological features, showed us snake and rat signs. He was patient when we needed a quick break and used our phone to take some great pictures.
Forever memories. I would recommend going early in the day when there is some shady places. Also drink some Gatorade and water before the tour, it’s about 2 miles of walking with only random shade.
suzanne_r, Jun 2025
The canyon is stunning...you will want your camera! Our guide, Bryan, was excellent. He had interesting Navajo stories to share. And very personable.
Cheryl_T, Jun 2025
