- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- Start times are departure times, please arrive 30 minutes earlier for check-in. All tour must depart on time, and late arrivals are subject to no refund.
- All guests must be able to walk unassisted on uneven surfaces and elevation changes i.e., steep incline/decline
- No bags and backpacks of ANY kind inside the canyon, please leave those in your vehicle.
- No camera equipment (tripods, monopods, selfie-sticks, camera bags) inside the canyon, please those in your vehicle.
- Antelope Canyon does not allow: HIKING STICKS, CANES, WALKERS, OR WHEELCHAIRS.
- No umbrellas, open-toed shoes, sandals or high heels (proper clothing required).
- No Strollers, Wheel based devices such as wheelchairs, and Canes are permitted.
- Infants (ages 0-3) REQUIRES a ticket to participate. If your child cannot walk during the tour, it is required that you carry your child in a front chest carrier or a back pack carrier.
- Pets and Service Animals are not allowed.
- No drones, GoPros or camcorders inside the canyon, please those in your vehicle.
- While we do our best to honor all bookings, times may occasionally change due to weather, special events, or operational needs. Your initial confirmation is preliminary; final confirmation will be sent within 3 days. If affected, we’ll reschedule you to the closest available time or offer a cancellation as a special exception.
- Lower Antelope Canyon experience (approximately 1.5 hours total, including check-in and a 60-minute walking tour).

The most breathtaking experience I have ever had. The guide was extremely nice and took some great pictures for everyone.
Lower Antelope Canyon, near Page, Arizona, is one of the most photogenic slot canyons in the Southwest, and it's easy to see why it draws crowds year-round.
The good:
The light beams and swirling sandstone walls create incredible, otherworldly formations — every twist reveals a new shape or color gradient (deep oranges, purples, and pinks depending on the time of day).
The narrow passageways and ladder climbs make it feel more like an adventure/hike rather than just a walk-through.
Best photos come midday (roughly 10am–1pm) when sunlight filters down into the canyon.
The less good:
It can only be visited with a Navajo guide (required, not optional) — tours book up fast.
It's physically more demanding than the Upper canyon: several steep metal stairs/ladders, tight squeezes, and uneven footing.
Photography is more rushed if you're on a large group tour — guides keep things moving to avoid bottlenecks in narrow sections.
Extremely hot in summer, and flash flood risk means it can close without notice if rain is anywhere in the region (even miles away).
Tips:
Wear closed-toe shoes — the ladders and sand make flip-flops a bad idea.
If serious about photography, ask about photographer-specific tours that move slower.
Overall: a must-see natural wonder, well worth the ~1 hour visit, but come prepared for a workout, not a leisurely stroll.
Very enjoyable. Alot of stairs and tight areas, but not an issue if you take your time and 1 step at a time.
Exceptional experience. The canyon is full of twists and turns with a view in every step. 250+ photos later. :-). The guide, Fiona, stopped along the walk to point out different features. The walk is easy as long as you have the right shoes on. Stairs are slippery due to sand. An unforgetable tour!!!

I am writing about Antelope Canyon X. Amazing and highly recommended. The Antelope Lower Canyon tour was canceled and Viator did a good job alerting us and offering the Canyon X alternative. We called and rebooked the Canyon X. We rec'd email confirmation. After that, Victor dropped the ball. The new booking never appeared in the Viator app. Viator continued to remind us of the canceled trip and then wanted reviews of the Lower Antelope Canyon tour that was canceled 😞 😐. So, Antelope Canyon X and our guide Jessica, were awesome. Go and do that, for sure! Viator has been reliable for us in the past. This time, there was a TOTAL disconnect in their processes. A total communication failure.
My tour was canceled 3 hrs into my drive due to weather conditions. Just hope to get my refund soon.

The tour was canceled and we were not notified until late that afternoon and we had already driven 2 1/2 hours to get there. Had to reschedule for today when we got there

Thank you for your feedback. We understand how disappointing it was to arrive for your tour after a 2.5-hour drive and be affected by a last-minute cancellation. Due to weather conditions and the risk of flash flooding, the tour provider may close the canyon on short notice when guest safety is a concern. While we recognize the inconvenience this causes, safety must always come first. We appreciate your flexibility in rescheduling.
This guided tour brings you through the lower section. There are some stairs and ladders but it is easily managed.

OMG! What a magnificent place!!! No words can fully describe its beauty. Our guide Ben was extraordinary. He was witty and funny but more than that, he was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He took the time to adjust the camera settings of each of his groups mobile phones (he knew all brands) so we could get the best pictures. He also took the best pictures for us if he saw as struggling or if he knew how to capture something better. Amazing experience

I give it 3 as i feel the guides should have mic with them. As we were at the end of the group and could not hear anything what out guide said

It was fantastic! Antelope Canyon is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The colors and shapes are absolutely breathtaking. When you are down inside the canyon, it is so tranquil and peaceful.
Our guide, Losh, was wonderful. He took his time explaining about the canyon and even showed us how to set up our phone cameras to take the best pictures. He also took several beautiful pictures of our family, which was such a nice touch.
I absolutely recommend this tour! We did the Lower Antelope Canyon tour with Ken’s Tours. Just be prepared to go down steep stairs and climb steep, narrow stairways. It is definitely worth it!

After reviewing your booking, we found that your tour was scheduled for September 6 at 2:00 PM, and we received your cancellation message at 11:31 AM on the same day. According to the supplier’s cancellation and modification policy, the booking was already outside the cancellation period and was therefore not eligible for a refund. However, since your cancellation was due to a car issue, if you have any documentation or proof regarding the vehicle trouble, please provide it to us. We would be happy to contact the supplier and request a reschedule exception on your behalf. Please note that if the supplier approves the change, a modification fee may apply. As much as we appreciate the beauty of this natural wonder, we hope that on our return—or for anyone else visiting in the future—the tour organizer will make sure that the overall experience matches the quality of the guides. Ray and Ken could also consider the effort that visitors make to travel to this place, including the significant time, planning, and expense involved. We were not asking for anything unreasonable—simply a little space between the groups, as they were getting too close together.
Unfortunately, the response we received felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, particularly the comment that they “own the Canyon.” Visitors come from considerable distances to experience this natural wonder, and we believe they deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect. A small request for reasonable space should not have resulted in such a response.

Due to the weather this tour was canceled right when we arrived after traveling over four hours away. This was prematurely planned and could have been canceled the night before as they knew of the weather.

The canyon was beautiful! My friends and I were able to create really good memories and take nice photos of the scenery. Guide could’ve been a little nicer to us when it came to falling behind when others in our group did the same thing yet did not receive passive aggressive behavior the way we did. We didn’t let it ruin our day though! I would absolutely recommend others to come take in the beauty of it all!
