Gail, our guide was excellent. She made the trip fun with her knowledge about the land, sharing her Navajo culture and her ability to navigate difficult terrain with the truck. Gail has a great personality and I highly suggest you ask for her as your guide. On top of that the canyon was beautiful and worth the ride from Phoenix.

Loretta was so kind and helpful and we loved learning about her culture. The canyon was beautiful and the view of horseshoe bend was breathtaking. My teenage and young adult children were engaged and enjoyed it!

This is NOT the upper or lower Antelope canyon tour. It is titled Secrete ANTELOPE canyon tour, but you are not at the upper or lower Antelope canyon. This tour is unique to be able to go onto the tribal lands, and the canyon is not one that is seen by many, however it is deceiving when it is sold as the Secrete Antelope Canyon tour.

We absolutely loved this experience. Even though it was the week after July 4th (extremely hot and at 11am) we had the best adventure! Our guide drove us extremely close to the entrances and gave us as much time as we wanted to explore and take those amazing photos with our family and friends. This was a smaller group so you didn’t have to worry about someone walking on top of you. Our guide also played for us a beautiful tune on his flute and showed us how amazing the echo was off the canyon walls. The off road jeep ride was fun for all ages.

We enjoyed our tour guide Loretta, she was very friendly and kind. We loved hearing her stories about her family, the culture and the creation of the canyon. As well as helpful tips when it came to lakes.
Location was easy to find on Apple Maps. They do run on Arizona time! Ensure you’re researching your time conversions. We came from Sedona and were worried when we saw the time changed once we got closer to Paige, but all was well! They will leave on time of scheduled tour. No grace period as stated, so do allow some leeway to eat breakfast and use the bathroom before the tour starts! There are no bathrooms outdoors. As much as we enjoyed our first time doing this tour, I feel the way it is advertised, it makes it seem as if we would be heading towards the pinpoint of Antelope Canyon and taking a hidden route away from large gatherings of other tour groups. In actuality it’s a canyon the family owns which is about a 25 minute drive from the base. It took us about 40 mins to walk through and back. It was gorgeous to see and experience, but there wasn’t much canyon to explore. Which was a bit disappointing. We were under the impression we’d be doing Antelope Canyon, seeing the lower and upper portions in a more exclusive tour. She was explaining that their family canyon does have similarities of upper/lower portions as in Antelope Canyon. I will not assume all canyons are the same, so I cannot speak more on that since I have not experienced that. After finishing the canyon you’ll then take the same drive to head back out and over to their other family location to oversee Horseshoe Bend, which is only 10 mins across. That was amazing! I absolute vouch for this section of the tour. It was surreal. Having the privacy to enjoy the outlook without hoards of people. We did only spend 30 minutes there. Overall I would suggest booking the HorseShoe Bend tour with this company but not the canyon tour, I’d suggest researching else where if that’s an important factor for your trip.. which kinda was for us unfortunately. We appreciated our time . Thank you.

Loretta was an amazing guide! It was a great tour of the Secret Canyon and learning about her family and Navajo Nation. The private spot to view Horseshoe Bend was incredible!

The hike between the canyon walls was fun and beautiful. The guide gave us person insights and background related to the Navajo People and their relationship to the land. It is a great place for photos especially if you get the right time of day for the sun rays peaking between the canyon narrows.

We booked the Secret Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend tour and it was hands down one of the highlights of our entire trip. Our guide Trey was absolutely phenomenal — knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate about sharing his culture and the canyon with us.
What made this experience so special was the intimacy of it. With only 16 people in our group, we had the entire canyon to ourselves. No rushing, no crowds, just pure awe. Trey knew exactly where to position us for the best photos, showed us the ideal camera settings for each spot, and even took beautiful family photos for us that we'll treasure forever.
The moment that brought tears to my eyes — Trey played his Navajo flute inside the canyon. The sound echoed through the sandstone walls in a way I can't describe. It was deeply moving and something none of us will ever forget.
The private Horseshoe Bend viewing area was the perfect finishing touch. No walking long distances in the June heat, no fighting for a spot at the railing — just an unobstructed, breathtaking view of the Colorado River 1,000 feet below. It felt like it was made just for us.
If you are deciding between this tour and the crowded Upper Canyon experience, choose this one without hesitation. The small group size, the private access, and a guide like Trey make all the difference. Worth every penny and then some.

I had an excellent time during my Secret Antelope Canyon and Horshoebend Tour with Deer Springs Canyon Tours. We booked our tour on Viator.com easily. We later received an email about our tour with clear instructions on how to get to the location. When we arrived the front desk was nice and we checked in quickly on iPads. After check in we met our tour guide Kenny and she was very kind and professional. We then boarded the back of a truck that had a trailer attached that was able to fit everyone present. Kenny carefully and safely drove us to Secret Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Both locations were incredible to see and we got amazing views! I had a fantastic time and I highly recommend anyone to book your tour with Deer Canyon!

This was an intimate experience. Very personalized small group and knowledgeable native of this excursion. Easy to navigate the terrain for all ages. Best photo opportunity before noon.

This was an awesome trip! The canyon was not crowded, very accessible, and absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed seeing Horseshoe Bend from the “private” side. Transportation was provided in an air conditioned bus. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
Paola_A, Jun 2026
Erin was a great tour guide! The description of the tour is accurate and the tour was well timed. We spent the majority of time at the first stop and do wish we could have done more at the second stop but the views were unmatched. Beautiful to experience and grateful for the glitter mother nature gave us on our tour.
JODIE_F, Jun 2026
Amazing private view of horseshoe bend! Our group had the tour and the canyon all to ourselves. Our guide was knowledgeable and we had luxury accommodations. No difficult hiking -suitable for all ages!

We left speechless by the breathtaking beauty of these Canyons. Simply put, Wow, they're truly incredible. If you've never been, we highly recommend coming here. The pictures don't do justice, as the real experience is even more impressive. Our tour guide was fantastic. We're grateful to Deer Spring Canyon Tours for organizing a private tour.

Would highly recommend! Our tour guide was excellent & helped each group set their phone up correctly for beautiful slot canyon pictures. She also took pictures for each group. The round trip ride to the canyon & horseshoe bend really is not too rough & part of the fun of this experience honestly!
