While New York City has amazing places to eat and explore, our experience booking through Viator was an absolute nightmare. As foreigners visiting the city, we felt completely vulnerable and taken advantage of.
We faced an unexpected delay while heading to the meeting point, but we acted in good faith by calling and messaging the operator to let them know we were on our way. They explicitly told us they would wait for us. However, when we arrived, they had already left without any warning. Worst of all, they didn't even bother to contact us to let us know they were leaving, nor did they leave anyone at the site to inform us. It was only much later that they sent a notification, and they did so to a completely wrong phone number, leaving us stranded and clueless.
What makes this worse is Viator's complete lack of support. As a major booking platform, they did absolutely nothing to mediate, help us find a solution, or offer any alternative benefit for a service that cost us over $340 USD ($1,149,618 COP). Viator does not back its customers when things go wrong. Avoid booking through them. To anyone reading about these bad experiences, I highly recommend looking for a different agency or platform that actually protects its users.

Our guide, Emily, was fantastic! She provided detailed information for every step of the journey. She even offered videos of optional activities at the destination, allowing everyone to make informed choices.

It was 1 day trip! We spent most time on the road. When we arrived Niagara everything was rushed and by 1pm we were supposed to board back to NYC. I regret , I though we would spend whole day there since we arrived morning around 6:30am

Undoubtedly the best tour for those short of time, you save an entire day while still being able to do the Cave of the Wind and the Maid of the Mist (both of which require purchase of separate tickets and the Maid of the Mist needs to be purchased in advance at the start of the journey). The only thing you miss out on is the lighting at night, but it's a small price to pay if you only have the one day to spare for Niagara, like I did. The night bus, though not very comfortable for a tall person like me, does get the job done, and the rest of the tour is perfectly calibrated too - especially the arrival and departure times and the rest stops on both the onward and return legs. It was great to meet new people and make new friends on this tour, and our guide Carlos was great as well, though he seemed to prefer speaking in Spanish a bit more than he did English. Most of the folks on the bus were Spanish speaking, so he can be excused, I guess. He did speak in English when it mattered (such as when giving instructions). We got sufficient time in Niagara and this was a memorable trip and I would highly recommend it.

A tourist which is to be in all tourist agenda .
Had much fun in the maid of the most and Cave of the wind .
Both activities are worth participating in .Apprently the money paid for does not include above .
Another US 59 will bring you great hapiness and memories will be cherished .
In conclusion I had a wonderful tour .met and befriended many nationalities .
A trip which I will do again .

Room for improvement .
The tour operator should provide a luxury bus maybe charge a bit more so that there is leg space .
This was a 50 seater bus .instead provide a 24 seater so the we can bring down the back rest with comfort .this to make sure that the person sitting behind need not suffer .

Our tour guide Emily was absolutely brilliant and very knowledgeable. She warmly welcomed us and made this trip very enjoyable. Although the bus was not as “luxurious” as the description suggests, we had a decent sleep throughout the night trip and the return journey was not as tiring as expected. We had enough time to do the Maid of the Mist activity, stroll around to see the waterfalls and to take enough photos, and even to spend an hour crossing the border of Canada which we got to see the view from there (very much recommended!). The chosen rest stops were in very good spots, we were able to get some rest and enjoy some good food. Overall, a nice experience, especially for the money!

The drive back home is long and the bus seats are uncomfortable and too close to each other. But all the bad is worth it once you see the water falls. It’s an amazing view. They also do a lot of restroom stops which is good.

Amy, our tour guide, was great! A few issues I had were…The itinerary was different from what was on the app, but in the end it worked out. Also, need more time to just sit and soak up all the falls. We were given around 10 minutes at each of the falls. Amy didn’t rush us on this but you felt rushed that you had to get back. Would like to have just sat and soaked up for awhile.

It’s a long overnight drive to upstate New York to arrive at Niagara early the next morning. However, the views that meet you on arrival are worth every bit of this journey. Certainly worth booking this activity with family or friends.

The actual tour at Niagara was nice but the bus broke down on the way back and we had to wait 5-6 hours for a new bus. Which pushed back our arrival time in Times Square, resulting in other missed excursions. It was hot and we had to wait either on the bus or on the side of the road. I don’t recommend this particular tour company. The tour group didn’t update us appropriately throughout the situation.

It is an amazing experience even in spring time, however like we found out the river is still frozen in April so we could not do "The Maid of the Mist" boat ride. That's ok you can still the "Winds of the Caves", and thar is an elevator ride down so you can experience the falls from below. It was cold today even though it was spring. On the way there it was snowing and was 1 degree Celsius. Yes it was cold, but I am pretty sure every one on the tour enjoyed it. A special mention to Amy our host and Horhe our driver (Sorry I don't think I spelt there names correctly).

The lack of effective communication from the individuals who booked this tour led to the disruption of our plans for the remaining days we had available. They emailed me to cancel our trip for the scheduled date and then sent additional emails inquiring about my presence on the day of the cancellation, even placing a phone call to ask if I was already on the bus despite having received notification of the cancellation a day prior. I possess documentation of the email correspondence. I was compelled to contact them to remind them that they had canceled on me, and they also mentioned that it would not be open, despite the fact that Niagara Falls is never closed. We rescheduled for the following day, which also caused disruptions to our pre-existing plans for that day. As a result, we missed out on another tour and were forced to cancel it in order to accommodate the rescheduled tour; the communication was exceedingly poor. Although our tour guide for the rescheduled day wasn't as detailed, she did provide us with a comprehensive tour of some of the areas, essentially pointing out the various attractions. I won't ever book again with Viator.

outra decepção com a Viator, passeio sem nenhum protocolo com covid em plena pandemia. Nao verificaram quem estava vacinado, nao exigiam mascaras das pessoas, o onibus parou num local para cafe da manha que tinha 20 locais para sentar e o onibus continha 50 pessoas. Onibus completamente cheio, sem nenhum banco para distanciamento. Locais de parada sem pensar que entavamos em meio a pandemia. Resultado: Eu e meus 2 filhos testamos posivito para covid no dia seguinte a este passeio.
