This is a great intimate tour that you definitely need to check out! We had Dan as our tour guide and he was fantastic! We went to 4 great restaurants that to try some signature dishes (and optional drinks 🍻). We ended up going back to some later in the trip! As we walked to the restaurants Dan also provided some great insight and history about the are. This is a must do if you are a food lover!!

I had a fantastic experience on the Minneapolis food tour! Our guide, Colin, was incredibly knowledgeable—not just about the food stops, but about the city itself and even the surrounding areas. He shared interesting history, local insights, and fun facts that really added depth to the whole experience.
The food lineup was great and had a nice variety—everything from flavorful buffalo wings to interesting, loaded fries, delicious pizza, and a warm, rich hot chocolate to top it all off. Each stop brought something different, and it all felt thoughtfully chosen.
The tour was well-paced, and Colin made everyone feel welcome while keeping things engaging the entire time. You could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and it made the tour that much more enjoyable.
I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Minneapolis in a fun, flavorful, and informative way!

I can’t recommend the Minneapolis local food tour enough! From start to finish, it was an absolute delight. Our guide Collin was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the local food scene. He shared fascinating stories about North Loop’s history while leading us to hidden gems I never would have found on my own.
Every stop offered something unique and delicious — from savory bites to sweet treats — and the portions were generous enough that I left completely satisfied. I especially loved how the tour highlighted locally owned businesses.
The pace was perfect, with plenty of time to enjoy the food, chat with the group, and take in the surroundings. It felt relaxed, well-organized, and thoughtfully curated.
Whether you’re a visitor wanting to explore a new city or a local looking to discover new favorites, this tour is a must-do. I’d book it again in a heartbeat!

Collin was a great host! He was very knowledgeable about the city and took us to a few different spots. There was some nice history mixed in, some great local options, and provided us with some dinner/drink recommendations for later in the evening. For us out of towners, it was a warm Minnesota welcome, and made us want to come visit again! Would highly recommend the tour.

Dan was great! He was very knowledgeable about the city and the food scene. He picked great places and we really felt like we got a true taste of the neighborhood while learning the history. He was very easy to talk to and made it a lot of fun.

We enjoyed our tastings of the flavors of Minneapolis. Colin was both pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. He made the walk quite enjoyable. We were able to get an idea of the history of the areas as well as the dining options. Definitely worth the time. By the end of the tour, we felt like we were chatting with a friend who was able to give us ideas about where to eat. And who doesn’t like homemade ice cream?

Wear some good walking shoes as you will cover quite a bit of the north loop. Colin was a great host and the food was decent.

The food tour was honestly a blast, and the samples were fantastic. I loved all the different flavors and the variety of dishes we tried. It was also great to learn about the local history of the area. Overall, it was a really fun and delicious experience that I would recommend.

Do not eat from the same plate as the guests on the tour. We do not know you. We do food tours in every city that we visit and have never had this happen before. This practice is not sanitary.

This is such a wild accusation! We are genuinely confused how this guest came to such a conclusion. On the tour, we order shared plates and each guest and the guide get separate plates and either the guide or the guest will serve themselves onto individual plates. Apparently this guest thought our guide taking from the shared plate to their individual plate was beyond the pale. If you’re thinking about booking our Afternoon Snack tour, we hope you look at all of the other satisfied customer reviews.

Great tour with Dan from Northstar! He is very knowledgable about the city. The restaurant choices were great. We had a little bit of rain , but he adjusted the tour and it was perfect

Meeting our host at one location and walking around to restaurants was a lot of fun. He gave us a lot of information on the area. It was nice to have a guide with knowledge for the history of Minneapolis. We enjoyed the food, although some of the choices were smaller portions, they were ALL TASTY
Colin took us over the “ bridge” to our last two stops and that was a really nice touch!

Delightful walking/snacking tour tasting local favorites, including at least one James Beard award-winning restaurant. Collin was a fantastic guide and incredibly informed. He was able to answer all of our questions and we left getting exactly what we came for. Highly recommend.

We loved this tour of four delicious restaurants in The North Loop and NorthEast. Collin was knowledgeable and super fun to hang out with! We learned things about our own city’s history and Collin made excellent recommendations about some “new to us” places to visit.

Dan was a very kind and energetic host! We really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot about the Minneapolis area and the food scene here. The snacks were just right so that we didn't feel too full after any one stop. And they were delicious! When we met with some local friends later that day they said that the places we went were legit and some of their favorite places too. We will totally be back to do the drinks tour from this company the next time we are in town!

We had a wonderful time on our tour! Dan is very personable and knows his stuff! The stories he told us and history that he knows is amazing! The food was good, but we thought there could be a bit more… all in all, we had a wonderful time! If looking for something to do that isn’t super long or overwhelming, this is it! Do it!!!

Had a nice time. We went to four placed and got some history fun facts throughout the tour. They taught us about the history of the city and were able to answer questions about what to do after, where to go, and what to see.
