This museum was excellent. The headsets and cassette player were very helpful. You were able to do the museum at your own pace. I was able to hear songs from their original soundtrack. Very cool!

Let’s Rock….and Roll!!

Camillya_C, Apr 2026
This was a great self guided tour full of history and information. My 11 year old struggled a bit due to the vast amount of information. Overall, I would recommend, just keep in mind the difference in experience based on age.

Fun with music.

We didn't go because...

Gloria_W, Dec 2025
We didn't go because Graceland don't give bus rides to there and Sun Studio. We had our heart set to go. We ask an employee where do we catch the bus to go to Beale Street and they said oh we don't have a bus to go there, you would either take a taxi or drive yourself. Well we don't know the area and both my husband and I can't see all that well, so of course we don't want to drive and to take a taxi would be insane. So, with our hearts broken we decided to go home here in Pennsylvania. And F*** everything. We got to Graceland because our Motel was a block away. But that was a disasters . Everything was Military style. And we even had VIP Pass. We won't go back, definitely. We just spent 2,000 dollars on a destroyed trip, that we had our hearts set on.

Great museum

Great audio tour and songs from jukeboxes. Every aspect of the place is first rate. I will pobably go again.

Great find, but rude staff …

Clair_D, Jun 2025
The museum itself is very interesting. The staff on the other hand were rude, unfriendly and very unwelcoming. No eye contact or pleasantries exchanged.. The lady who served in the gift shop was the same.. Apart from that it was good.

Great museum tour!

Great smaller museum telling a full spectrum of Memphis music history from sharecropper days to the 2010s. Lots of music and memorabilia. Nicely done.

Great to reminisce

Rosie_K, Apr 2023
Great memories!, great hearing and learning about the beginning of soul music , I liked the agenda with headphones, you can listen as long as you want and not holding anyone else up

While very informative...

Russell_S, Feb 2023
While very informative and well done, I felt that there were gaps in the timeline and felt like a hard stop at 1970.

Great background and entertainment stories about favorite performers.

Annette_M, Feb 2023
This was a very interesting museum and provided great background to rock and soul music....the beginnings and the key players. The museum is a little "tired" and some displays were missing items...needs a little TLC. I would have given 5 stars except for one issue. There are movies being shown in various rooms continuously. When you are using the self-guide audio devices, the movie sound is distracting and interfere with the audio. One way to fix would be to have the movies on a demand basis. Then people could stop their audio, watch the movies, then continue on. Just a suggestion. Otherwise, it was a lot of fun to learn all the great background to so many amazing performers.
