This is an Absolute 💯 Great experience!!!! Charity was our guide and she was a Very Special Young Lady!!!! Not only polite and courteous, she was also very knowledgeable!! I would recommend this experience to everyone who has an interest in horses 🐴!!!! Definitely a 10/10. The retired teacher (I apologize for not getting her name) is also a perfect example of you are never too “old” to get into horses!!! She was also a super lady!!!!

Scenic horseback ride through rural trails with opportunities to spot wildlife(we saw lots of deer). Great for families or couples looking for a relaxed day out in nature. It was suitable for: Families, beginner riders, or anyone who just wants a gentle ride. Our Guides Marley and McKenzie were awesome!

We had a fantastic time! Our trail guides were very nice & very knowledgeable. We had a big group of riders- most were brand new to riding & as an experienced rider I can attest to the fact that they gave them great tips & instruction. Everything was well organized & planned. Don’t forget to bring $$$ to tip!
The only thing I’d say needs improvement are instructions on exactly where to go when you arrive at Shelby Park. We drove & walked around for quite some time looking for the stables (which meant we arrived exactly at our booking time when we should’ve arrived early). Only 2 of our big group were there when we arrived & others slowly wandered in, so I suspect others had similar issues. There are many signs in Shelby Park, but only one that says “stables” & you have to be coming one certain direction to see it. The booking/ticket seems to only provide directions to Shelby Park itself which is hundreds of acres; Thus our driving/walking for awhile to find exactly where we needed to be. Other than this one snafu that could’ve resulted in us missing our reservation time, it was a fantastic time with sweet horses, beautiful scenery, & kind guides! Well worth the cost!

Great experience. I couldn’t give it five stars because the helmets were not clean. That part felt very unsanitary. My horse “Taz” was nice but lazy which they all informed me before we began. But my saddle was very uncomfortable. I was adjusted twice before we began the trail. However, I was counting down the minutes until we arrived to the ranch. I didn’t say anything because I thought it was normal until my husband told me his saddle was very comfortable. Knowing what I know now, I would do it again but with my own helmet and ensure my saddle and feet are comfortable before the trail begins.

I’m sorry your helmet didn’t appear to be clean. I will check into this immediately. The helmets are supposed to go into a machine after each ride that kills 99% of germs. The machine does not clean dirt or dust though so that should be done by staff. I will check into it because that is a high priority of mine.

Awesome horse tour. Deer in the forest, Jess the guide was knowledgable and friendly, helpful and kind.
We enjoyed the history stories, tales of the stables and the scenery was wonderful.
If we had time we would have done this tour again as it was a lovely morning ride activity.

What a wonderful first time experience. The ride was so therapeutic to me, so peaceful & so fun. My horse nane was Taz, he was so charming & sweet. I came there not knowing much about horses, I left there knowing more than I ever knew. Definitely been recommending people to come try it out, won’t regret it.

It was a great trail ride. We saw lots of deer and the trail guide was very friendly. She was very knowledgeable about the horses at the stables. If we are ever back in the area we’ll be doing this again.

Firstly, our guides Jess & Judith were amazing, very knowledgable about the horses and the trail area.
They, along with the other staff got us set up and ready to go with minimum fuss.
The trail was great and a very relaxing way to start the day, away from the hustle of downtown. Unfortunately this may be a one off for me, but if I can get back to Memphis, I will be back at Shelby. 100% 👍

Someone called me the day of my horseback riding activity saying I was overweight to ride the horse and also saying that it was weight limit on there and though it’s possible that it’s true—I did not see it. I booked the excursion a week in advance there should have been someone calling me long before then.

It clearly states on the page you booked from “All participants must weigh under 240 lbs”. We gave you a courtesy call and let you know you don’t meet the weight limit set forth by the insurance company. We could have waited until you got there and weighed you if we didn’t consider your time. Next time when booking something, read all the rules. Grow up and take responsibility for your own actions.

Alice and Jess were super cool guides! My 12-year daughter rode Jameson and I rode Butch. The ride was a great length for riders with little-to-no experience. Our guides were great at helping riders keep their horses in line. We would do this ride again!

Hannah was an amazing tour guide! She & all the other ladies were so welcoming and friendly. I felt completely comfortable as a novice rider. The horses are also very well behaved and ground maintained. The tour was a full hour as advertised and equipment was included. Would definitely recommend for anyone!

Axel was our guide and she was so very kind, helpful and friendly. My friends and I (a group of 3) along with a couple were the only ones on the tour. It felt fairly private which I enjoyed. This was our first time horse back riding and it was an amazing experience. Our horses were tamed and the steps to handle them were easy to follow. We rode for an hour through a forest where we saw deer - which was really neat. Our experience was that much better because of our tour guide Axel!

We had such as great experience. I took my 12 daughter and the leader of the group talked to her the whole time making her feel comfortable and telling stories of their love for horses. The location is beautiful and the horses are well trained and sweet.
