My wife and I had an awesome experience on this trip to Avila and Segovia. Our guide (Who's name I have completely forgot, sorry) was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. He was managing Spanish and English speaking customers at the same time. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to go to Avila and Segovia.

I booked this trip because it said 11.5 hours in total more or less but in fact we were back in just 10. I can understand traffic and other factors so was expecting maybe a 30 mins leeway here and there but didn't realise I would lose an extra hour. I was rushed off my feet in both cities and would have really appreciated an additional 30 mins in each city to enjoy properly.

Really enjoyed this full day tour . Our guide Angie was fantastic, very knowledgeable and made both the bus rides and the walking tours really interesting . There was enough time to wander and take photos in both locations as well . We added the Alcaraz tour option , which was well worth it - a stunning castle inside & out , beautiful views . Would highly recommend this tour out of Madrid .

This is a good tour with informative guides. Avila was very interesting but Sagovia is amazing. I just wish we could’ve spent more time there; we arrived in Segovia at around 2pm and had to meet the group to leave at 5:45pm. Knowing what I know now I probably would have looked for a tour that spent a whole day in Segovia instead.

The 2 cities are beautiful, especially Segovia. I had accidentally booked the tour for a different day but the operators were very accommodating and found a group for us to join. Our guide spoke Spanish and English and did well in both languages. It was a full day with 2 cities. Adding Toledo would have left little time to explore. Our tour guide was Angy. She was knowledgeable and delightful. The bus was comfortable and made the day enjoyable. Highly recommend.

It's the perfect day trip from Madrid! The meeting place is organized. Ride in a comfortable bus, get there quickly. Both cities are beautiful and totally worth making the trip. Our guide Alejandro was great!

Great experience! Something I have wanted to do for quite a while. My guide Angie I found to be very good and helpful. She didn’t skip a beat switching from Spanish to English and she answered all questions asked.
But I suggest if you are up in age as I am and are moderately fit or less do one a day not both. I did not do the tour in Segovia due to hip pain and the heat. Of course Spain is having an unusual heat wave right now. I was informed by our wonderful tour guide I could take a taxi up to Alcazar castle but I waited 30-45 minutes for both taxi or the transport bus and got too hot so did not go. My daughter did and she sent me information.

The tour and tour guide plus driver were great! Prepare for up hill and long walk.
Also, if you taking this tour dont miss to drop by casa de postas on your break in the first area and order the different seafood on toast in the counter. Those were less than $2 eu each.

Our tour was on Sunday March 31. We were 10 persons in our family group. I can’t remember her name. Is unbelievable this women guide was not helpful at all. Very rude, and not polite at all. No touch. We ask her to call a taxi to go up to the Royal Alcazar in Segovia since is on a hill and her answer was no . We were 5 people that need it a taxi. It didn’t take that much to request it. Lucky for us, I was able to stop one taxi for one person and that driver called another taxi for the rest of us.
Very disappointed.
The tour guide that was waiting for us inside of the Alcazar was very helpful and consider.

Eat breakfast at first stop in avila or bring snacks. Restaurants very busy. Monica our guide did a great job on bus snd tours. We had plenty of free time and explored cathedral on our own. Thank you!!

This was a full day, starting at 9 am sharp and ending at 7:30 PM. Both beautiful provinces, Segovia deserves it's own day with so much to see and explore. Highly recommend taking this day trip, you won't be disappointed. Be prepared to walk all day. Our tour guide Albert was very professional and well-informed in history.

I toured to Avila and Segovia on October 1st, 2024. It was enjoyable. The guide was excellent and he accompanied us to the main sites. He gave enough time for us to have lunch and explore the city on our own. He was friendly and following him was easy.

Avila is pretty quick if you see the castle and it was so worth it!
Had more time in Segovia. I noticed some stores closed (Siesta??) but shopping not really in our plans. We didn’t do any extra tours there.
Overall very informative day. Alexandria did a great job!

Our guide - Antonio gave me a memorable experience. Obviously he is Spanish. But every 10 sentences of Spanish, he sandwich it with one or two words of English. I really found it difficult to follow. So on the whole, I don't understand what he is saying as I don't speak Spanish.

Fantastic trip.
However it needs some adjustments for a better experience:
- Avila: the cathedral closed few minutes after we arrived and we were not allowed to enter. If we had left 30 minutes before from Madrid we would have made it. Also we delayed about 20 minutes to departure to Segovia because the bus was not there.
- Segovia: the best part is the visit to Alcazar of Segovia. The tour inside the castle was only 30 minutes - it is better to buy tickets by yourself and stay as much as you want (also it is cheaper to buy tickets there).
- return from Segovia: initially no air conditioning because the driver had a hard time to discover how to turn on it.
- Bus: was not very clean, specially windows.

The guide did not tell us about landmarks on the way although she appeared to be a nice girl. Her English was hard to understand. It was a tight itinerary so not much free time in either place. We opted to do our own tour in Segovia with the help of a map. Too much history for me which goes in one ear and out the other but it was good to know about the basics. It was lovely to get a chance to see the two places in one day which we couldn't have done by public transport ourselves.

We loved the tour! Seeing the walls and the aqueduct and the castle was such an experience. It is a lot of walking, but it was worth it. I wish we had more free time in Avila so that we could have gone up on top of the walls but we did not have the time. There is a more free time in Segovia - that is where we had lunch and it was very good.
