Unfriendly to non-Spanish speaker!

Very disappointed travel to non-Spanish speaker. The tour guide just ignored us and basically she speaks 10 min. of Spanish v.s. 10 seconds English, some times even end with Spanish and move on. If English guide is not the option please don’t sell the product!

Marta was a delightful tour guide. This was a great tour but a long day but napped in between cities. I loved both cities so I’d recommend this tour. We did it on a Saturday so there were a lot of tourist in Sevilla, fewer in Avila so many shops were closed.

Seeing an Aquaduct a thousand years old built brilliantly (how?). And A city defense stone wall over a mile in length beautifully built and still standing for centuries. Finally the explanations as well as the driving prowess of our captain behind the wheel deserves great recognition as does the fine detailed explanations, historical and political by our guide. And finally, the bus is very comfortable and provides very clear views of the beauty of the mountain, valley and plains we passed through. Felt like hot summer during Springtime in Segovia & Avila

I can only give 1 star. Very poor coordination from the vendor’s end. Bus had no air-con. Only hot blower on the whole trip. We felt suffocated. We were a party of 7 english-speaking people. The Tour guide spoke 90% in Spanish & only 10% in English. Other tourists (probably 16 people) were Spanish speaking people. There was an optional guided-walking tour offered when we arrived at Segovia. We were keen to take that up because the guide told us it was for €6 per person. As we were about to make cash payment, he said the tour was actually costed €12 per person. We ended up not taking the guided tour. A friend with high blood pressure suddenly felt ill while touring due to the suffocated atmosphere in the bus. It was not a good experience for us. Avoid this tour at all cost.

We highly recommend this Segovia/Ávila tour, especially with Angie, the guide we had, and Juanito, the driver. The Segovia aqueduct and the Ávila City walls are really spectacular! Angie was very thorough and knowledgeable in her interesting commentary. She was also very clear in giving directions for when we were on our own, and was very diligent in keeping track of everyone on our tour to make sure she didn’t leave anyone. Great tour overall!

Extremely Disappointing and no hope for a refund

I bought three tickets so that I could bring my brother and his wife to visit Avila and Segovia with a minimum of stress. This ended up being the most stressful day of their visit. First, the pick up point was on a line with Metro station closures, so we had to take a taxi across the city last minute. Then, we arrived at the place that I thought was the pick up point. By 9:00am, there was no bus, and so I looked back at the ticket to find that there were actually two addresses listed. We got in another cab and rushed to the second address. Just as we ran up, the bus pulled out and left. No one from the tour company even attempted to contact us; if they had, they would have known that we were close by, and en route. So, I spent 120 euros for us to NOT SEE Avila. We did make it to Segovia by purchasing three very expensive tickets for the high speed train, I am still in Spain, so I tried to request a refund via the Spanish help line, but there was no English language assistance. Then, I called Viator's international number, waited 20 minutes, and then got a person who kept saying that they couldn't hear me, and I needed to call back. (And wait another 20 minutes?) So now I'm out about 200 euros total, and never even set foot on the bus. The tour company (Toledo Express) company should be ashamed of their low level of customer service, as should Viator.
