Disappointing lack of information and organisation.

Coach departed late. Not all guides fully conversant with English. Operators must clearly state tours are in English AND Spanish, i.e. guide delivers details in two languages. On our tour when group was broken into separate languages, the guide also had to deliver in English and French. Be aware that lunch is quite late and that stop at winery does not include the option for purchasing snacks (take snacks with you). Return was late by 30 minutes. Also dropped at location not disclosed until after the start of the tour. This is simply unacceptable; of the multitude of tours we’ve taken around the world we’ve never been dropped at an undisclosed location unless told in initial information.

Travelled from Madrid to Cuenca on the tourist bus and on arrival were handed over to a local guide. We did a walking tour of the old town, Art Gallery, Hanging houses and Cathedral. Knowledgeable young man with quite good English. Had a lovely day despite the cold, windy and drizzly weather.Returned to Madrid at 9 pm after having left at 830 am. Recommend the day, especially if you don't mind walking !

Don’t miss this trip.We had a great guide on the bus and another fantastic one for the Cathedral, museum and old city. There were only two of us of the Old City and Cathedral tour which was wonderful. We are over cathedrals from lots of visits in Europe but this one is wonderful and different to others on the inside(not the outside)Our total group was only around twelve people and we were put on a quality and new mini bus. We learned so much about the town, the area and it’s history. We normally don’t take tours and looked at going by fast train and getting around ourselves( this is what we usually do)Go with this tour as it is not much more expensive than going yourself and really informative. There is a new highway all the way!Also if you sign up for newsletters with Viator you can get 10 percent off so investigate. Cancel after.We didn’t opt for the organised lunch and got a great menu del dia(3 quality courses with wine )for 10 Euro per person

La visita a Cuenca, tanto a la ciudad medieval como a las formaciones rocosas de la Ciudad Encantada, fue una experiencia inolvidable. La hicimos el lunes 3 de junio de 2024. Juan, el conductor del bus fue amable y condujo sin sobresaltos en la larga travesía de dos horas. El guía, Fernando, fue el mejor que tuvimos de todas las excursiones que tomamos. Explicó todo muy bien, con dotes de narrador, gran sentido del humor y capacidad de transmitir historias verdaderas con leyendas. Además fue muy amable con todos.

Boa organização mas tempo insuficiente no museu

Eram dois grupos dentro do ônibus, que fez algumas paradas para recolher passageiros. Em Cuenca os grupos se separaram: cidade encantada e catedral. Estávamos no grupo que foi à catedral de Cuenca e ao museu de arte abstrata. A visita ao museu durou apenas 20 minutos porque o museu já ia fechar. Penso que deveria durar pelo menos uma hora. Depois da catedral juntemo-nos ao outro grupo para almoçar. O restaurante tinha várias opções e creio que todos encontraram algo de que gostavam. Após o almoço fomos todos ver as casas colgadas remanescentes.

Eram dois grupos no período da manhã e todos se juntaram à tarde. Partimos todos no mesmo ônibus. Como o ônibus fez várias paradas para recolher passageiros perdemos um tempo que fez falta na hora de conhecer o museu de arte abstrata. Foram cerca de 20 minutos, o que definitivamente não é suficiente para se aproveitar um museu. Mas o guia se esforçou para fazer o melhor desse tempo. Quanto ao restante tivemos tempo suficiente. O almoço que escolhemos foi o turístico, Tinha várias opções e creio que todos ficaram satisfeitos. Recomendo o passeio, mas sugeriria que fosse destinado pelo menos uma hora ao museu.

Na modalidade de Cuenca com Catedral e Museu de Arte Abstrata, normalmente é gasto 1 hora em visita à Catedral, mais uma hora para o museu e mais uma hora para conhecer outras áreas da cidade velha. Muito obrigado pela sua contribuição.
