Javier was our guide for the tour and he presented the must see sites around central Madrid in an energetic and interesting manner. There is a lot of history in each of the sites and Javier tried to make the history easily digestible. At the end of the tour, he shared a document with his recommendations, which is super helpful.
Madrid is a huge city with lot of history and culture. This tour is the best introduction to Madrid that would make you want to explore the city more.

Christian explained this to us before the tour started on a sultry evening in Madrid and did a great job in informing and entertaining our quite large group - 13 had come together which produced a slightly different atmosphere to the usual groups where very few do. This helped to relax the group and we learnt lots about the Hapsburgs who’d ruled Spain in its various guises with a number of innovative visual aids. It must have helped as we got all the answers right in the light hearted quiz at the end. I’d be delighted to have Christian as a guide again.

Michele was an outstanding tour guide , we learned a great deal about the history of Madrid! This tour was a great way to get oriented on our first trip here. Michele also had tips on other sights, places to eat, and local happenings. I highly recommend! It is a free tour so people should be aware of the need to tip - this was explained before we started.

Wow! Let me just say how amazing Nits was. Not only did she provide incredible detail and fascinating history throughout the tour, but she also came prepared with a binder full of photos that helped bring Madrid's past to life. She truly went above and beyond to make the experience engaging and memorable.
One of my favorite parts was the fun little quiz she gave at the end of the tour. It helped reinforce everything we had learned and kept the entire group involved. In fact, I took another tour the next day and found myself sharing facts and stories I had learned from Anita because her explanations were so memorable.
You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and is passionate about teaching others about Madrid's history. As a gato—a true third-generation Madrileña—she offered a unique local perspective that made the tour even more special. She mentioned that it's becoming increasingly rare to meet true gatos, which made hearing her stories all the more meaningful.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Madrid. It was a fantastic two and a half hours, gave us a wonderful overview of the city, and left me with a much deeper appreciation for its history and culture. If you're in Madrid, don't hesitate to sign up
