We had an excellent experience with Idan who was our tour guide for the Madrid city walking tour. Idan made the tour very interactive and shared a lot of information about Madrid’s history around the points of visits. Having a tour guide enhances the experience as we got to know Madrid a lot better. Would totally recommend this tour to all visiting a Madrid the first time. The tour guide accepted tips which was about 20 USD per person which I feel is very reasonable.

I’ve had the pleasure of taking Maikel’s tour twice during recent trips to Madrid with friends and it is the perfect starter to your visit here. He’s very informative, communication flawless, and he gives excellent recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc while you’re here. Again, it’s best to take this tour on your first day here.

Wow, Maikel was an exceptional English speaking Madrid expert. This particular tour is highly rated and after experiencing it, I can see why. Maikel mixed an enormous amount of history with humor. We learned about the Hapsburg dynasty using a Burger King analogy. I wish I had such enthusiasm in my history teachers. I might have remembered some of it! He was delightful.
We booked this tour the first day in Madrid to get our bearings. It was perfect.

Paul was a fantastic guide. He was very informative and his great knowledge of local history and culture taught us a lot. He was also very entertaining which kept the tour fun and the time flew by. My two teenage daughters said it was the best tour they have ever been on, which is a huge compliment! Highly recommend this tour.

A very good summary excursion of central Madrid, ending at the palace by the river. Our guide, David “Onion” packed it full of information covering many of the dynasties, how public squares were used (farmers’ markets, festivals and executions!) plus many foods and customs. Take note it’s a full three hours of standing and walking so wear your very comfortable shoes and be ready to go.

This was probably the best tour I have ever taken! Javier was fun, engaging, made seeing Madrid interesting, everyone in my family (different ages, genders and interests) absolutely loved it! He made me want to come back and experience more of Madrid! I don't usually pay attention as much to the history but I was locked in the whole time! Highly recommend!!!

It was a great tour. Lots of interesting history about Madrid. Javier was a great tour guide. He made it fun and interesting. He also recommended several restaurants to eat at and other fun things to do while in Madrid. I would like to do more tours with him.

We visited during Holy week and it was very busy. David did a good job, given the crowds. If you are looking for a good history lesson standing in one spot, this is a tour for you. We were in Puerta del Sol where the bear and strawberry tree is and he never took us to it. We did a fair amount of walking through the city with highlights explained.

I’ve visited Madrid before, but I’ve never learned so much history and cultural information about this fascinating and beautiful city AND had a great time as I did this evening on David Cebolla’s 2 1/2 hour tour. He is so engaging and the time flew by while he created a friendly and interactive group experience for us all. Why walk down streets and look at buildings without knowing more about their history? Highly recommended!!!!
