The viaduct at the start of the tour is impressive, but the guide dispersed the visitors to fend for themselves to find coffee and restroom facilities. Communication on start time was not well done, and we had to catch up with our group, missing the narrative. The radio communication was limited by distance, often times it was too great to hear the guide. Lunch was overrated, not living up to ‘gastrointestinal ‘ delight. Would not recommend this trip to friends.

The tour and our guide Sarah were great .
There was some confusion about our lunch that was included with the tour. We don’t feel it’s appropriate to combine those whose tickets provide for a “gastronomic meal “, versus a light snack.

The organizers worked hard to make sure that everything goes smoothly. The bus was comfortable, the guides gave clear directions. Maria was leading the tour in Spanish and English. Every tourist was given a device with the headphones so they could hear the narration while walking. Be prepared for a bit of walking on uneven surface but the attractions were worth it

Great sites and beautiful vistas!! Only issue was understanding the English of the guide.
Thought it strange that we were the only ones from the whole bus that had the gastronomic lunch?! Thought it was what everyone signed up for. It was an ok lunch.

The sites, views and history are all top notch on this tour. I would recommend the tour for these reasons. The A/C on our bus didn't work well, and it was hot, humid and stuffy. Two of our three guides were great; one guide was a jerk. I would have given 5 stars otherwise, even with the broken A/C.

German was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, but more importantly, he made sure that no one was left behind and that everyone was individually taken care of. The tour was very comprehensive and I was able to learn a lot. My only suggestion is that a little more time be left for taking pictures and getting souvenirs.

Good tour well worth it. Just beware a Tuesday tour was a full double decker bus. The your guides were used and we split up into the groups.

View of Avila, medieval wall, St. Theresa room and museum, Alcázar of Segovia, ancient Roman aqueduct and climbing the stairs to the top were some of the highlights. Skip the gastronomic lunch in Avila for the regular lunch otherwise there may not be enough free time to climb the medieval wall if desired.

We had a great trip to Avila and Segovia. Our guide, Irene, was friendly, informative and enthusiastic! When one of the members on the tour indicated he couldn't climb a hill, she called for a taxi and made sure he was okay before proceeding with the tour. The walls of Avila were amazing, as was Alcazar and the Aquaduct.

The Segovia castle looks like it was straight out of a fairytale. Also learning about queen Isabella and king Ferdinand there was interesting. To be able to stand where Christopher Columbus asked the king and queen permission to go find his supposed new route to India gives you a sense of the monumental moments in history. Avila was a beautiful example of a walled city. We didn’t know about st Teresa and that was so enlightening..

Long day but you definitely get to see and experience both cities. Rafa was a wonderful guide and was very knowledgeable. Recommend this tour. The starting point isn’t very easy to find right off, but just look for all the people waiting around. Really enjoyed this tour.

What a great tour and very information. Our tour guide was the best and seeing the aqueduct was the highlight of the tour. If you want history this is the tour. A must see when in Madrid.

We had guide Diego, who covered and highlighted all points of both town. Avila and Segovia not to miss, and this tour was perfect. Gastronomic lunch was very nice and more than enough for 2 people. Very well balanced day. Diego covered tour in English and Spanish and was very informative.

I have taken tours all over the world and this one is by far the worst I have ever taken. Our tour guide made that possible, she was awful. I think we would've enjoyed it better with any other tour guide. Carmen, I will never forget you as the world worst tour guide. Too many things we missed and the way she mistreated people it's unforgivable. I am available if you have any question about this so-called tour.

Both Avila and Segovia are full of historical and physical beauty that I must say they should definitely be on anyone’s must visit list.
The tour was organized, warm, friendly, mildly strenuous, and thorough, yet never overbearing. It was a day of discovery yet it was relaxed despite being under the heat of the sun. Now, it seems tours are still quite light, and we were lucky to have less than 20 people in our group, and this despite after some rearranging and consolidation of some tours it seems. This may had affected our ‘lunch menu’ which was listed specifically on the description with certain entrees. We didn’t mind that our lunch ended up with completely different offerings; the big slab of tomahawk steak was just as good, but this could certainly be communicated better.
Our tour guide Arantxa was a delight. Full of passion and love. It certainly helps that she’s apparently showing off cities where she grew up in and had ties to and you can definitely feel her energy. Thank you!
