Wonderful experience transferring between Lisbon and Tomar Portugal!

I am on a two week trip. My first week has been with friends who live in Lisbon and the second week will be an organized tour with a different company. My tour will start in Tomar, Portugal - about 90 minutes from Lisbon. During an excursion to Porto the first week, I realized my original plan - to take the train from Lisbon to Tomar, was completely out of the question! Why? Two suitcases, the high steps used for train embarkation and the huge gap between the platforms and the trains are only the beginning! This combination spelled “PROBLEM!” Additionally, I realized I couldn’t count on working escalators in the train stations. Travel with anything other than a backpack is complicated. So, private transfer seemed to be the best option. While I’m comfortable taking a rideshare for a short ride in the city, I wasn’t comfortable traveling nearly two hours. I’ve used Viator for airport transfers in the past and it made the most sense to make the arrangements with them. I like the fact that I could speak with a live agent to locate the service. Today, I traveled from Lisbon to Tomar Portugal. I had a fantastic experience! Gaspar was WONDERFUL!!! He arrived a little early - I was ready, so we started about 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. Gaspar was very pleasant and most helpful! He was a careful driver and made “good time” getting here. We chatted during the drive and he made it a very pleasant trip. The best part was that he went way beyond the call of duty as we arrived at the hotel! He helped me get my luggage INTO the hotel and waited for them to confirm that I was in the right place. This made me feel very safe and it reinforced my choice to arrange the transfer through Viator! I would very strongly recommend him and Viator!
