Ruben was amazing. Friendly (like everyone in Portugal) and very knowledgeable and patient. He went out of his way to accommodate some limitations we had with walking long distances. The place he recommended for lunch was right in the ocean and the Seafood Rice was fabulous.

Amazing experience, our guide was able to provide us with so much of Portugal’s history throughout the day. Even made time for cool photos, planned lunch and provided treats. Ruben was an amazing guide, cannot recommend him enough.

This tour went above every expectation. Ruben was incredible. He went out of his way to ensure our experience was perfect. And it was. We saw places we never expected to see. We tasted treats we never imagined. When met with crazy lines Ruben found other options so that our time was not wasted. Cannot recommend this tour enough! Fantastic day!!!!

There is never a dull moment when you’re on a tour with Pedro. He talks about the places you’re visiting, he talks about Portugal - its history, its climate, its people, its food - just a friendly and highly entertaining tour guide. We covered the places that were on the schedule and he found us the most delicious seafood place for lunch. Enjoyed ourselves and would come back for more Pedro 👍

On our first full day in Lisbon we were picked up by our private Tour Guide, Joao, who came to our hotel and took four of us off to Sintra and Cascais for a memorable day of site seeing and Portugal history. Joao took us to the National Palace of Sintra built around the 11th century under Moorish Rule. The history tour continued as we walked through the fully furnished palace with the Galleys Room, Chapel, Kitchen, the Swan room, the Patio and Grotto overlooking the beautiful gardens.
We were then taken to a beautiful restaurant right on the ocean. After lunch we went to Cabo da Roca and then Cascais and both were beautiful places to visit and gave us a chance to see other coastal areas of Portugal. It was a full day and a wonderful way to start off a vacation.

Our private tour with Nuno was absolutely amazing. Nuno was a passionate tour guide who went over and above to make sure we saw and did everything we wanted to do. I can’t recommend this tour enough. It was the highlight of our trip. Sintra and Cascais are beautiful.

Great excursion and our guide Ruben was very friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. I would have given our experience a 5+ rating but was disappointed in a few things. First, Ruben was late picking us up, but he did extend the time to make sure we saw everything. Second, our vehicle had some mechanical issues. The tires were bald and needed replacement. The bigger safety concern was that our van had one side door that didn’t open at all and the other sliding door wound up breaking the latch halfway thru the day a would not close/lock shut. To keep it closed, I had to manually hold the door in place so that it didn’t fly open when accelerating or climbing a hill. The final issue we had, which was the most disappointing, was that at the end of the excursion we made arrangements with Ruben to extend our tour for the next day. He committed to picking us up in the morning but never showed up and did not answer any of our text messages. Not sure what happened but would have appreciated an explanation and better communication. It’s a shame, because we really enjoined the first day’s activities and spending time with Ruben.

Vasco was wonderful! As a local, his knowledge of the backroads and short cuts came in handy in the hustle and bustle of Sintra. He skillfully maneuvered his vehicle through crowds of milling tourists to take us to the Queluz and Monserrate Palaces and the Quinta da Regaleira. We were very impressed with his explanations of how the impact of the Freemasons could be seen in subtle details of the architecture and design. He is a lovely family man who was extremely considerate and caring for my travel companion who is a bit elderly. As a definite plus, he got us reservations at a fabulous seafood restaurant with a gorgeous view of the ocean and drove us back to Lisbon on the loveliest of backroads that only a local would know.

Seeing the well at Sintra was very special. Pedro was an excellent guide and advised us due to the time restraints to see this instead of the palace. He was right. And he walked us all the way up to the queue for going to see the well and gave us valuable advice on navigating the tunnels. Then we went to the farthest western point of mainland Portugal for the awesome view, and had lunch along the coast to Cascais-also with a fantastic view. A private tour is definitely a good choice because it was tailored to our needs. Thank you, Pedro.

We so enjoyed our day exploring Sintra and Cascais! It is a wonderful way to spend a day! Hugo (pronounced Ogo) was an excellent host and driver! We couldn’t have been happier to have him behind the wheel on those windy, skinny roads! His recommendation for lunch was Toco de Julio (sp?) was amazing but way too much food and wine so be prepared to enjoy! We especially enjoyed the gardens!

Our tour guide Nuno made sure that my fiancée and I had the absolute best day. He was an encyclopedia of information and knew all the secret spots and best times to go to avoid the crowds. He also knew what tickets were worth buying and which ones were not. The itinerary was flexible but we spent time at Pena Palace, Sintra, Regaleira, Cabo de Roca and Cascais. He also found a great spot for lunch based on our preferences. We could not have asked for a better guide and he was a true, welcoming local. The vehicle was very comfortable throughout all the stops and I have nothing negative to say. Highly recommend!
