Antonio gave us a fantastic tour as well as introduction to Portugal’s history. He took us to some wonderfully unique places that we would have never known to even consider visiting while in Portugal. Honestly, the side excursions that we saw along way were often better than the planned highlights that all tourists come to see. It was an incredible experience to see actual places where locals love and dine rather than get the generic touring experience that one gets on a bigger bus tour. This tour was private and gave us views few first time travelers ever see that were most definitely worth while.

John was an amazing tour guide! He was so knowledgeable of the area! He was flexible throughout the day, able to pivot when needed based on our requests. John was personable & interested in sharing information, but not overkill. Stopped at a great restaurant by the beach for lunch! He had a nice clean vehicle which took to the roads beautifully. We booked our tour several weeks in advance, a must during the high season, and Pedro was excellent in all respects - knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and flexible. He is a bit of a Renaissance man, highly intelligent with broad ranging knowledge of history, architectural, cultural traditions, food, government, etc. He clearly knows the Sintra, Cascais, and Cabo de Roca areas like the back of his hand. We had a group of 7 and the ride was comfortable, cool, and roomy. Thanks, Pedro! Highly recommend.

We only had one day in Portugal so we chose this tour since most other tours are too early. We went to see Sintra, Pena Palace, Cascais, Cabo de Roca, and drove through Lisbon. We didn’t go inside Quinta de Regaleira to see the well which was something we were looking forward to. If time allowed, we probably would have went with the other tours that could go to all the places we wanted to see. The van is comfortable, although some AC problem during second half of the tour. Our guide Joao was friendly and told us much history of Portugal. Overall, it’s a good and enjoyable tour.

A great day experiencing a little of everything the coast has to offer. I would recommend sneakers as there is considerable amount of walking and hiking. Our guide was wonderful! He was informative and professional.

Pedro was awesome! He tailored our tour based on what we wanted to do, he navigated all of the cool spots with knowledge, followed our pace, gave us plenty of history as we chit chatted in between stops! And, kindly had coins so we could use the restroom,

Sintra is well worth the trip. It’s a beautiful town and area. I would highly recommend you only plan on one castle if ur planning on seeing many of the other options which are well worth seeing. It took more than 2 hours to see Pena castle alone and that doesn’t include the driving time to get up there. The lines for tickets are long, the queue is long, the castle was more than a half hour behind for timed tickets and it’s a line throughout the visit. One can’t just roam around to view the castle. I understand it’s the same for all the castles. We had skip-the-line-tickets. Keep in mind this was April 3rd not high season. Though I wanted to see Pena and Quinta da Regaleira, with lunch there wouldn’t have been much time for anything else in a 7 hour tour. This was advised by our guide, Nuno, from the start so there was no surprise and we were able to make a decision prior to the tour. You could easily spend 3 days in Sintra. The town itself you will want to spend time in. We can’t say enough kind words about our guide. He didn’t rush us at all, yet was very aware of time required for chosen sites. He not only drove us to all the sites we wanted to see but went above and beyond to take us to a surprise site, found a fabulous locals restaurant for lunch and was a great photographer. He was a lot of fun and had a great sense of humor.

We loved our trip to Sintra, Cabo da Roca, and Cascais. Our guide was very punctual, friendly, and helpful. We made our way to Sintra in no time, and went to explore and shop it the quaint town on our own before heading to the Pena Palace. We got to see so much, the palace is a must, especially with such an experienced and knowledgeable guide! The experience was completely tailored to what we were interested in, and flexible, as we changed our mind about visiting a second site in Sintra. Cabo da Roca was spectacular, and we loved the beautiful seaside town of Cascais.
All in all, we had a wonderful day, highly recommend the experience!

Pedro was absolutely fantastic! Having a private tour was definitely the best way to see this area. We enjoyed the view of Cabo Da Roca and then Pedro took us to a nice little Cafe and showed us the Portuguese traditional treats to enjoy. He was so knowledgeable on the Pena Palace and toured us through the gardens and the little chaple to sing and hear our voices echo where the monks had gone to meditate. We then toured the Palace of Regalia which was so interesting. Pedro knew the history of the Initiation Well and all the symbols of the grounds. The best part of this trip was that Pedro picked us up from our hotel in Cascais. Most tours leave from lisbon but this was wonderful if you are staying in Cascais.

Our guide Pedro was friendly and knowledgeable. He told us a lot of stories about the symbolism in Pena Palace and shared insights into the gardens there. We also went to Quinta da Regaleira where he told us about the man who built the tunnels and wells on the property as well as the palace. Lots of fascinating legends!
