How many people can fit in a Spinach car? Each vehicle takes up to 2 people.

Are prices per car or per person? All prices are per car. Same price for one or two people.
What's the minimum age and requirements to drive a Spinach? Driver's must be 18+ years old and have a valid Driver's License.
What's the car autonomy? The maximum autonomy of the cars is 60km, which is more than enough for at least 3 hours' drive.
What happens if the car runs out of battery during my rental? You will have to call the telephone number that is written on the car, and we will give you all the necessary support in order to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
What is the company's policy on rescheduling the experience in case of bad weather conditions? In case of bad weather conditions and if the company considers that there are no safety conditions to operate the activity, it’s possible to reschedule it for the same day depending on availability.
What forms of payment do you accept? Debit or credit card, Cash or Bank transfer (only for groups);
Can I take a Spinach car outside of the city limits? We recommend driving just on the chosen route so that you can fully enjoy the experience. There are also roads that are prohibited, such as motorways, highways, and bridges.
What happens if there's an accident or the car is damaged during my rental? The car’s documents are in the trunk, and it has third-party liability insurance, just as in a typical auto accident. Contact the support number in order to streamline the procedure.

Great day! From the friendliness of the staff, to the process from a to z, to the communication throughout our day these people are wonderful and we would recommend them any day to anyone! Cars were great to drive, not that comfortable haha, but we stopped at a few tourist places which helped take a little break from the cars. We had a little incident with taking a wrong turn with the little cars (we had 3 cars) and when we called the operator to explain, they were the best to deal with! We also had an issue with one of the car upon leaving and we turned around and they made sure we got another better functioning car no questions asked. You can tell they take pride in making sure it's a great experience all around. Exceptional customer service all around for them.

Bouncy, tricky yet fun

Grab an extra pillow to sit on as the streets are very bumpy being cobblestones. We did the street art tour first, which was very lacking so switched to the history tour. Some directions were down one way streets the wrong way so we got off track about 3 times. You need to go very slow if you want to take photos as there really is no place to easily park. Driver doesn’t get much of a chance to see things as they drive crazily in Lisbon! Sights are quite neat to see though and we felt famous cuz everyone was looking at us in this crazy car. Needs a strong pair of arms to drive it. We used all 3 hours and could have used more time but it was hot and we were done bouncing around. Staff was wonderful and flexible and the treats at the end were lovely!

This was the worst experience ever. The cars were hard to drive, the streets of Lisbon were confusing. The staff didn’t explain things well. The screen for navigation blanked out on us. Do not do it.

Fun way to explore the city

A really fun and exciting way to experience the city. Cars are small so don’t try this if you are taller than 6ft and larger than 100kg’s 🙈. Also, the roads are bumpy with little car suspension so be ready!

Incredibly dangerous and incredibly disappointing! Despite looking forward to this activity, it quickly turned into an extremely stressful and frightening experience. The tablet which provides directions crashed on a number of occasions (a recurring due to heat according to the staff), which left us in very busy roads without any direction - eventually requiring us to use Maps on our phone to get back back to the Spinach centre. We found ourselves in busy roads, and very vulnerable to oncoming traffic due to being unable to get back onto the app for directions. When we made a complaint afterwards, we were just offered a further two hours for free. This was a totally inadequate option, why would we want to re-experience such an ordeal? I would be keen to get financial compensation, given it cost €95 overall.

Mediocre at best

The spinach cars themselces are so small. If you're taller than 5'7 you will have a hard time getting in and out and its so cramped while driving. The seats are hard and on the cobble stone roads it hurts both your back side and your back. There is no power steering either so hard to manoeuvre. The ipad provided is not visible due to the sun so realistically you have no idea where you're going. Fun experience nonetheless but don't get to see much along the way.

We had the best time driving around Lisbon!!! We got to see so many places we wouldn’t have got to see if we were walking. We booked the car for 3hrs which was a great amount of time, we could’ve kept going we were having so much fun!!! The car is easy to drive and has a guided tour with a map on a iPad which was simple follow around. We did most of the tours in the time we had it for. We got some great recommendations from Jenny at the tour place and we stopped in at LX Factory for some lunch which had some great restaurants to choose from. We would definitely recommend doing this tour to explore around Lisbon. Great value for money and worth every moment!

The staff were very kind, welcoming and understanding. Nonetheless, these kinds of cars are not mean for a cobblestone city like Lisbon. The cars rattle, make noise, hit many holes, and are tough to operate. Other drivers on the roads were always angry at us for not going their speed, yet the Spinach cars are slow and hard to operate (despite seemingly simple instructions). We took the navigation route to Belem, and had to drive down a busy urban road with traffic, wind, and angry drivers. Seats are not very comfortable and the windshield gets in the way of visibility.

Vehicles are poorly maintained. They shake and rattle over the mostly cobblestone streets. We could not see the tablet screen due to the sun and spent most of the 2 hours lost and confused because we couldn’t find the starting point of the narrated paths.

The entire experience was great start to finish. Check in and out and car functionality were explained very well by Aderito. The narration via Bluetooth was great and at some times, hilarious , Full of surprises….. Music and sarcasm/wit. I would HIGHLY recommend this adventure !!t

We had a blast! The staff was great and accommodating and made it even more fun. We went all around town, drawing attention and smiles/laughs from many tourists and locals who enjoyed watching us have such fun. We had a bit of trouble pairing, reading the gps at first. (I had to focus on the driving first of all, and my friend isn't as experienced in using a gps but we eventually got it). The old streets shook us up quite a bit, but we would definitely recommend this to others. If you are zeroed in on wanting the absolute best tour (and learning the most), maybe look for a good tour. But, for having a great time and getting the feel of the city, this was great.

A Memorable Experience.

First class, welcoming and totally professional staff, particularly Mariana. Demonstration was good and off we went. Whilst the GoCar was safe and everything worked to a high standard, unfortunately the noise from the engine overwhelmed the voice from the preloaded satnav. This resulted in my wife having to study the satnav screen throughout the journey and loudly shout all the many direction instructions. To the uninitiated driver, Lisbon is a complex city with many narrow roads and one-way streets. This makes the satnav so important. We became lost, though ultimately, with the help of a passing Lisbon resident, we were able to find our way back to the GoCar site … some 40 minutes late. Mariana was most helpful and did not charge for the extra time. Next time I will choose the fully electric vehicle. Thank you GoCar and Mariana for a great and memorable experience.

We took the GoCar for 2 hours but decided to give up in an hour. Though they are cute but they make so much of noise that you can't hear anything what it was explaing about the points. The navigation system not very clear. For 15 min we went round and round as they had closed one road and the navigation could not reach us to back to the station. Lisbon streets are not meant as the car rattles a lot. Had done this in San Francisco and was good fun so booked in Lisbon.

Dear sir, Unfortunately we had 3 days with several roads closed to traffic due to constructions and we realise that if tried to go those streets, the experience wouldn't be the best. GPS issues have been reported and we are just finalizing an upgraded version of the navigation system that it's going to solve all this issues. On top of it, it's going to add gamification to the tour. It will be launch still this year of 2022. Hope to see you back soon and we'll give you a free tour with this new navigation system.

A 3-wheeled nightmare

We opted to take the GoCar trip to Belem and it was a huge mistake. These cars were just terrible. The one we had was so so loud. We couldn’t hear the tour information coming from the speaker due to the noisy engine. The actual driving experience was a nightmare. In order to get the GoCar moving, the throttle needed to be at 75 percent. Any less throttle just produced noise. The GPS on the front screen took us along a busy main road and in order to drive with the normal speed of the other traffic we had to go 100% throttle. Even with a lot of experience driving motorcycles, the GoCar felt risky at this speed and easily swerved when a wheel hit pot holes. If this were like the electric green 4-wheeled vehicles we had seen, I expect that the whole experience would have been x10 better. With the yellow 3-wheeled monstrosities I cannot at all recommend them to any one.

Had a great experience for a couple of hours in Lisbon. I would definitely do it again for more hours next time. The staff was really kind and made us a proper induction about how to use the GoCart and about the paperwork or where to park it if needed, explained about the GPS and the routes that we could opt for. Great Company(Boost) but Go Cars not for the faint hearted.

People at Boost were fantastic and they offer a wide range of activities in Lisbon. Unfortunately the steering on our Go Car was very bad, making the vehicle very unstable. We chose to go along the river to the historic town of Belem and it was a great trip but not for the faint hearted as you go along some very fast roads and our vehicle fishtailed badly if we went above 15 kilometres an hour. The other road users were incredibly good natured and gave us a wide berth. Glad we took the trip, but never again. We will however be going back to Boost to try out some of their other activities. Staff were all amazing.

Great way to explore Lisboa!

Our guide Aderito first told us everything we needed to know about the GoCar, then we were off to explore Lisboa! Because we had a full day, we first took the Belem route. We made several stops on the way which was very nice. We did get a lot of attention driving the GoCar, so be prepared! On our way back to the city we stopped at LX Factory which is a really cool place to visit! After the Belem route we also did parts of the other routes. The very steep roads were a bit scary, but we had a really great day!

The GoCar was super fun and easy to use! Jessica set us up for an amazing 3hr drive where we saw Belem and old town. Well worth it considering it’s a part of town transit doesn’t quite connect to and we didn’t rent a car. Would do this again in a heartbeat!!

We were given a car that had a lot of damage. Broken windshield, broken seatbelt, and some body damage. It ran so loud that we could not hear one word of the navigation so it was useless. We saw things but had no idea what we were looking at. Worst part was that cars were motioning us because our car was so loud.

Such a fun experience! We wanted to be able to see parts of the city that we hadn’t seen before, and this was a unique way to do it on our time. We opted on the full day package, and spent most of our time in Belem. We parked the Go Car and explored the areas. We ended with going through the historical and city tour—and even though we had explored so much prior to our car rental, we learned that we still had so much to see and are so happy we did a full day. Worth the money for sure!! Hats off to the incredible staff—they were awesome and answered so many questions. They even gave us the best food recommendations. I cannot speak highly enough about the team at Boost Lisbon/Go Car!! Go see Jose and the team today!!!
