Very nice instructor. Relaxed clean setting. A nice way to wrap up our week in Lisbon. Everyone had fun regardless of art skill level.

This tile painting workshop was one of the absolute highlights of my trip to Lisbon! From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed into a beautiful and inspiring studio.
The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about Portuguese tile art, making the history and techniques easy to understand and enjoyable to learn.
Even though I had no previous painting experience, I was guided step by step and ended up creating a tile that I'm truly proud of. It was such a rewarding experience to learn a traditional Portuguese craft while expressing my own creativity.
The atmosphere was relaxed, the materials were excellent, and the small group made the experience feel personal and engaging. I loved taking home a unique souvenir that I had made myself. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone visiting Lisbon—whether you're travelling solo, as a couple, with friends, or as a family. A truly unforgettable experience!

Painting tiles with Christina was honestly amazing. Even my mother, who doesn't like art or doing classes on vacation LOVED this. My young niece had a great time, so this class is for the young, old and everyone in between. Learning the history of Portuguese tile and how it came to be was a great foundation and then we got to create our own. Christina really emphasizes that YOU are the artist and to do what makes you happy. Maybe that is making your own stencil, maybe that is using one of the traditional ones provided, maybe its using the regular stencils or if you are daring, maybe it means freehanding a design! We had a great time along with great musical vibes. I honestly wish I had gotten that playlist!
We combined this with doing other things in the Belem area, so all in all, a great day

Its not intimidating! Fun, meet people make your own souvenirs, very fun! Highly recommended just do it
This experience was amazing! Cristina was a great teacher and had our tiles ready right when we said we were coming to pick them up. We left with two amazing works of art.

Very fun and informative. Owner is very nice, helpful and makes learning how to do this a good experience
My only concern was that I didn’t realize it wouldn’t be a finished product and we could take it with us. You either have to go back and pick it up, have it ubered to you or shipped to your home, at your cost

Thank you for your kind words! I’m delighted that you found the workshop fun, informative and enjoyable. As the tiles require firing after painting, they are normally ready within 24–36 hours and cannot be taken away immediately. Guests may collect them free of charge or arrange an Uber pickup or shipping at their own cost. I’m sorry this was not sufficiently clear beforehand, and I appreciate your feedback.
Cristina was excellent. She gave a short history of tiles and the art of them. She explained how the tiles are different than those found elsewhere. Then we got right to design and painting. She has a huge selection of stencils, or you can freehand. We did both. My often unimpressed 13 yo had a ton of fun. We were able to pick up our tiles 3 days later - so do it at the start of your holiday (she can also ship, but save the $). We are so happy to have this fond memory and are using our tiles in our dining room daily. Strongly recommend this fun activity

My daughter enjoyed paint tiles with Mrs. Christina. We are not painters , but she helped bring out your creative skills. It was wonderful painting tiles the traditional Portugal way. FYI please have enough time so she can heat the tile 700 degrees.

Huge selection of tile patterns and assistance throughout the process. The BEST souvenirs of our trip! A knowledgeable artist in her own gallery leading the course, you could not get better instruction!

The teacher is very nice and patient. It’s a good value class as you have 2h30 to paint two tiles and she will even deliver the tile to you if you’re still in town. Very fun and rewarding experience!
