We had a private tour with retired history professor Richard who gave us all the history of downtown Las Vegas from the 1800”s to today. It was so different seeing all the casinos through his eyes and incredible story telling. It was particularly interesting to hear about prohibition times, the workers at the Dam, the secret tunnels during prohibition and finding all the old artifacts that you would miss just visiting the casino. Vegas certainly has a colorful history and even if you’re not a history buff it’s a very cool way to visit the casinos. We finished off at the Mob Museum and enjoyed a chat in the Underground Speakeasy. Recommend this as an option when visiting Downtown!

This was a very informative tour. Richard is a history teacher and told us about the history of Las Vegas and showed us places we never would have found on our own. We highly recommend this tour for those who are looking for a fun and educational tour.

Richard was an excellent tour guide, and it was more enjoyable as there was just myself and my wife, escorted around the older part of Las Vegas. He has an extensive knowledge of the characters and development of the casinos, and entertainment.

Learned a lot about the history of Las Vegas as well as the mob connections. Very informative. The downtown area/Fremont is such a fun area and it was nice to explore the city outside of the strip. The Mob Museum was a great addition (included with your booking) to end the tour and reinforce many of the things we learned along the tour. Our tour guide, Richard, was knowledgeable and very passionate about sharing his knowledge.

The weather was perfect for a walking tour of Vegas. Our guide, Richard, was so informative and fun! It was a walk through the past and we learned so much about the history of Vegas besides how the Mob came to run it. We all really enjoyed it. Ending at the Museum was a bonus!
