Grand Canyon West from Las Vegas

If you want to experience the Grand Canyon but don’t want to take the drive out of Vegas then this tour is for you. We were picked up right outside our hotel and travelled to the Grand Canyon West with a short stop at the Hoover Dam bypass bridge on the way to take photos and view the Dam. Another short stop at a reststop just outside Dolan Springs breaks the journey up nicely. The host and driver were friendly and informative, pointing out places of interest and explaining facts and information along the way. After passing through Joshua Tree National Park and on entering the Grand Canyon Territory (Hualapai Nation) the scenery becomes more dramatic. From the parking lot you will be directed through the visitor centre to the shuttle buses at the back that take you to the West Rim. Once there you have around 3.5 hours to explore at your leisure and can take the frequent shuttle bus between Eagle Point and Guano point. The journey between is about 20 minutes. If you have booked lunch, I would recommend heading straight to the restaurant at Eagle pont on arrival, even though it’s a bit early. We did this and there was zero queue, we were seated immediately. By the time we were served it was around 11:30 so not too early for lunch. When we left, the line for the restaurant stretched all the way down the stairs and into the gift shop! The Hualapai people put on displays of traditional dances and there are some selling handmade jewellery. Guano point is where the views are really stunning. No railings here so stay away from the edges. I had to look away a few times from people sitting on the edge of the 4000ft drop trying to get their Instagram worthy photo. Don’t do it folks! You are given a time to meet back at the parking lot so make sure you catch the shuttle in time to not hold the group up. Return journey is pleasant with more commentary and a rest stop at Terribles. Is a long day but well worth it. Entry fee to the park is included in the price.

I did this solo and it was a great experience! I had always wanted to go to Zion and didn’t even have Bryce Canyon on my radar. Both were jaw dropping beautiful! John was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable, friendly and took a bunch of pics for me since I was solo. Bathroom on board. Plenty of stops for breaks. Great deal!! Relaxing and informative

Great tour!

Wonderful experience visiting the Grand Canyon. We purchased the helicopter and boat ride based on the tour guides recommendation and we're glad we did! Only downside was that the helicopter took up alot of the allotted time, so we felt rushed trying to see the rest of the viewpoints. Our guide Laila gave very detailed instructions and made sure everyone knew where they needed to be. The bus driver Wayne (?) was also great!

A Trip You Will Talk About For Years...Promise!!!

I knew this birthday gift for my husband would be amazing, but I never dreamed it would be as breathtaking and beautiful as it turned out to be. Every time I looked over, the look on his face will forever be embedded in my mind. You couldn't wipe the smile off his face. Our pilot was top-notch...informative, and personable. Maverick Helicopters' communication is great, and they are very well organized. If you're on the fence about booking, don't hesitate. It's worth every penny. We are excited to return to Vegas and have already talked about taking one of their other tours.

Horseshow and Antilope Canyon trip

A tremendous trip through American west. Horseshoe landscapes are great but the Antilope lower canyon is a pure gem. You will discover more about natural history and unique landscapes, with very professional Navajo guides. Nigel , though not very smiling, was a well-experienced guide. Be cautious as you have to climb up and down ladders through the Antilope canyon. This expérience is unique and totally worthy and enjoyable.

We had an amazing Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend tour c/o Mama the most awesome tour guide and chauffeured by Carlos always on time and ready with cold water for us! Mama had all the information. And I mean ALL. She's got instructions, timelines, pro-tips, history, and trivia. She's super attentive, organized (like extremely), and prepared for anything and everything. She took amazing photos for everyone too! Definitely recommend! We had a seamless, zero-stress, we also were never hungry 😂

Excellent tour to Lower Antelope canyon

Excellent tour. Tour guide lady was very knowledgeable, she spoke 4 languages and knew history well. Walter the tour manager was very nice and he took good photos for us. The Navajo tour guide in Antelope Canyon also took photos for us. The drive was comfortable with Kris as the driver abd he made multiple stops for restrooms and for buying food/lunch. Recommend this tour to everyone. The stairs were not scarry at all, we had people in 60+ still walked fine in these stairs. The stairs were not one straight down 23m, it was multiple levels with a few steps down at a time and there were rail handles for you to hold on too, so it was very easy and safe to me. The scenery was spectacular! Overall, it was a good experience.

Great tour as advertised!

Exactly as advertised - Our guide Glenn & Driver Paul were both great & knowledgeable! Stops on the long drive were perfectly spaced out, communication before & pick-up worked smoothly - Bus was even earlier there and waited until everyone arrived. Grand Canyon was spectacular ofc.

Ward was an excellent guide, and the tour was very worthwhile

Had a great trip with Ward to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. The whole day was really enjoyable, and Ward was the perfect guide; really informative, even for tips and recommendations elsewhere in Vegas for the rest of my stay. The only downside, which had nothing at all with One Day Tours or Ward, was the service (or significant lack of) in the restaurant at the Sky Walk at the Grand Canyon - really poor, but the food was ok, and it didn’t take the shine off the day, as everyone else was really friendly and accommodating. Thanks again, Ward, cracking tour!
