Our Grand Canyon helicopter tour was the highlight of our family vacation! Traveling with our 5-year-old, we were a bit nervous, but our pilot made us feel completely safe and comfortable from start to finish. This trip was amazing! We booked the west rim Ariel tour and were upgraded when we arrived at the terminal. For no extra charge they upgraded us to a 2hr west rim tour with landing and champagne toast! Raffael was superb! He was so knowledgeable and made us laugh. He was considerate and made us feel very safe. He was willing to answer all our questions and he made the experience awesome.

I couldn't get over the shuttle experience. We were scheduled to meet at the Golden Nugget at 11:35 and was called by our driver at 11:32, who was wondering where we were. We were at the Golden Nugget struggling to navigate where the bus was parked. The driver was incredibly unhelpful on the phone, too busy threatening to leave us behind because he "had other people to pick up" to describe the color of the shuttle and which street he was parked on. Hung up on me twice. Ended up arriving at the spot at 11:38 just to be greeted by "I was just about to leave". Then we had to wait 40 mins at the airport for our late helicopter which I honestly wouldn't have minded but after being reprimanded for being 3 minutes late, the irony didn't sit well with me. A $600 helicopter ride should include a 3 minute grace period for being late. Especially since we wouldn't have been late if he could've given us the directions he gave us on the first phone call instead of the third. Wouldn't even tell me the color of the vehicle to look for until I saw it and asked if it was red. Im still flabbergasted. Leaving 30 minutes later than everyone but arriving back at the airport at the same time was suspicious. We asked the other people on the bus, who paid the same amount, what their experience was like and they got lunch and got to stop in at the base. My tour didn't advertise any of that but it feels like we were ripped off anyway since we paid the same price. Just didn't love the way this company operated. Our pilot was lovely and the actual ride was okay.

I describe her as cold with a chip on her shoulder. I was more than ready for the tour to end.
