Extended Grand Canyon West Rim Air-Only Helicopter Tour

My wife and had an absolute blast! We had booked this adventure long before all of the tragic air crashes around the country, so we were really anxious to see how it would go down. She and I agreed that if we felt uncomfortable, we were out! So, it was just the opposite! Great pick-up at the hotel, quick trip to the airport, these guys have their private Terminal building on the tarmac. Great safety lesson, easy rules and regulations. They operate a fleet of Airbus Jet Helicopters. We took the long Air-Only Tour, which I now highly recommend because landing and getting out would have been less desirable than the excitement of flying around and seeing all of the sights. Everyone gets a set of Pilot-sized headphones (loaned) with a boom microphone so you can hear the pilot narrate the sights as well as talk to him and the others. There was a total of 7 people ... 1 Pilot and six passengers. 3 across in the front seat and 4 across in the back seat. Floor-to-ceiling windows, so this was first class for sure! I hope we can do this again someday, it was a much better experience than I ever thought it would be, and 5-star are all true professionals! Seeing the Hoover Dam pretty close up in the air showcases just how and why it is an engineering marvel, but the star of the show is The Grand Canyon, which is one of The 7 Natural Wonders of the World, and you are flying through it on a jet helicopter, well its just indescribable!
