My wife and had an absolute blast!
We had booked this adventure long before all of the tragic air crashes around the country, so we were really anxious to see how it would go down.
She and I agreed that if we felt uncomfortable, we were out!
So, it was just the opposite!
Great pick-up at the hotel, quick trip to the airport, these guys have their private Terminal building on the tarmac.
Great safety lesson, easy rules and regulations. They operate a fleet of Airbus Jet Helicopters.
We took the long Air-Only Tour, which I now highly recommend because landing and getting out would have been less desirable than the excitement of flying around and seeing all of the sights.
Everyone gets a set of Pilot-sized headphones (loaned) with a boom microphone so you can hear the pilot narrate the sights as well as talk to him and the others. There was a total of 7 people ... 1 Pilot and six passengers. 3 across in the front seat and 4 across in the back seat. Floor-to-ceiling windows, so this was first class for sure!
I hope we can do this again someday, it was a much better experience than I ever thought it would be, and 5-star are all true professionals!
Seeing the Hoover Dam pretty close up in the air showcases just how and why it is an engineering marvel, but the star of the show is The Grand Canyon, which is one of The 7 Natural Wonders of the World, and you are flying through it on a jet helicopter, well its just indescribable!

Eddie the pilot was great. There were five total guests. It was a very interesting tour to see the lake from above and how low the water is. The Grande Canyon is beautiful from the sky! Great trip of a lifetime!
Wow…… such an amazing experience! The view of the west Canyon is beautiful. Even saw the Valley of fire from the air on our way back. Maddog is the best & most fun pilot ever, couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Can’t wait to be able to do this again.
The tour over the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam was beautiful. The pilot Lucas was very informative. Of course it was nice i had the front row seat 😀

The actual helicopter trip into the canyon was excellent and having already visited the canyon rim on another occasion would recommend this helicopter tour to anyone who has the opportunity. There was an issue with the booking as we specifically chose this tour to avoid the ranch visit and meal as we have an allergy to horses and various food allergies in the group that we didn’t want to have to deal with. On the evening before the trip (8pm) with no possible chance for us to make other arrangements we were told our trip had been changed to be the one with the ranch stop and having no choice we had to accept. For a trip that cost so much it took the shine of something that could have been exceptional. Therefore score downgraded from very good to good

From weather updates before the flight to final hotel drop-off, this experience was amazing! Bob was very accommodating for our pickup, communication from 5 Star was fantastic, and our pilot was personable, funny, and very professional. We saw the Hoover Dam and went fairly deep into the Grand Canyon. We were shown how small the glass overhang was and how far away it was. If you don’t have a full day to see the Canyon on foot, this was pricier but definitely worth it!
I was scared at first because I am afraid of heights. It didn’t bother me at all. It was magical. I’m sold on seeing our natural wonders via helicopter now. Lucas was an amazing pilot and tour guide. Very informational and calming. Loved this outing!💕

Our pilot was knowledgeable about what we flew over and the area. The support staff was amazing, they took a photo of us with the helicopter before we took off. We got the most amazing pictures and videos. They are called 5 Star for a reason, we give them a 10 out of 10. I highly recommend it we got 5 star treatment the entire time.

It will literally take your breath away. The pilot mad dog was terrific. It was the most incredible experience.
A truly wonderful experience! Our pilot was well informed, witty & genuine, we enjoyed the relaxing flight over the canyon.
Overcharged my card $600. Took 2 months to address, despite multiple phone calls with the operator (the operator did not take any steps to address even though they acknowledged the error). Had to file a case for action to be taken.
This was my first time in a helicopter. The pilot was very skilled, a smooth take-off and landing. While the cost is a bit expensive, the views were amazing and the trip was 90 minutes. We flew out to the West rim of the Grand Canyon, with views of the Hoover Dam and Lake Meade. We flew back down the Strip for a unique view of Vegas.
The helicopter seats 6 passengers, but it is a bit cramped, with 4 people across the back seat. Overall a great experience, would definitely recommend.
The length of the excursion starts with your pick up from your hotel and ends with your drop off back at hotel (e.g., not the length of helicopter ride)

The over all experience was ok but if you were one of them packed in the back in the middle you saw nothing… packed in so tight in the back couldn’t get any good pictures…. Went over Hoover dam n didn’t hardly see it

Thank you for your feedback. Our Airbus helicopters are configured with stadium style forward facing seats for 180 degree panoramic views. We strongly recommend that you provide accurate body weights when you book any helicopter tour, as you will be weighed at the time of checkin. In the interests of comfort and safety, passengers exceeding 250 Lbs are required to purchase an additional seat.
Trip of a lifetime, you see the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and City of Las Vegas in a way like no other, strongly recommend. Our pilot Sam was great, entertaining and knowledgeable of the areas we went over.
This is a 45 minute ride to the Grand Canyon, 30 minutes inside the Canyon and 45 minutes back to Las Vegas with a flight over the strip. The group size is 6 per helicopter, so our group of 8 was split 6 and 2 between 2 helicopters, based on weight distribution. It was a great flight and we got to see many sights on the way to the canyon and back.
