What To Expect
Your tour begins with pickup from select Las Vegas hotels. From there, it's less than an hour by car to the start point of your tour. Your driver-guide entertains you along the way with an introduction to the region’s history and natural wonders.
On arrival at the stables, meet the cowboy wranglers, who will match you with a suitable horse depending on your riding experience. Receive a brief lesson on the basics of riding and safety techniques (for beginners), or to get to know your horse (for more experienced riders). Once you’re feeling comfortable, set out on a scenic ride.
Enjoy riding through the rugged landscapes of the Red Rock Canyon, stopping along the way to take in the desert views and learn more about the region’s native plants and wildlife.
Your tour ends back at the ranch, where you’ll be transferred back to your Las Vegas hotel.

As a first-time horse rider, this was a fun experience. I came to Vegas for my birthday and my partner gifted me with this event. Listen, a time was had! Wonderful instructors, and the horses are full of personality. They got this newbie feeling like a pro cowgirl—the horse-whisperer 🤠😂. The views are top tier…I felt so close to my American Indian ancestors, to nature, to the Universe. If you’re thinking about booking, do it!! Spots fill up fast! You’ll be glad you did.

The whole experience was wonderful. The pick up from the strip was easy and well communicated. The driver, Roy, was so pleasant and informative about the area. The wranglers are the real deal! Tyree and Jim are the best!! They are knowledgeable, personable and funny but they also take everyone’s safety very, very seriously. The bathrooms were out of service but they have port-a-potty’s available. All around a really great experience!

There are a lot of options for horseback riding trails on viator (including breakfast, dinner, etc.) that I researched throughly, and I’m so happy I picked this one! Cowboy Trail Rides was an amazing experience for a solo traveler in Vegas! They truly take care of their horses and the guides are so friendly. If you get Tyree, he is especially funny! The views are breathtaking! It is an easy trail for a first time rider as well. I rode on the sweetest mule named Red. She was very gentle and calm, which eased any nerves I had. 10/10 experience and would do it again!

Horses are well cared for and well trained as far as I could tell. The horses and mules while waiting to go out with us were eating alfalfa hay which is very nice hay. I asked if I could ride one of the mules and the wrangles were very accommodating. I really enjoyed riding a mule! I did find parts of the ride a bit nerve racking as I’m afraid of heights, but the guides were calming and my mule was so steady and safe. The views were amazing and something I will always remember, this experience was stunning and exhilarating at the same time. Great escape from the Las Vegas Strip. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience. It was excellent and worth the money. They picked us up at a nearby hotel and dropped us off, so it was quick and efficient. The horses and staff were all excellent. Would do this again if we come back to Vegas for sure. Worth it to get out of the concrete jungle and enjoy nature. Fabolous!

It was a perfect day for a ride in Red Rocks Canyon. Absolutely breathtaking. Great trail. Our guide, Haley, was awesome. Super friendly and helpful. We were fortunate to have a small group so it was a very relaxed and fun experience. If you get the opportunity to ride Cadillac, take it! He's a gem. He was the best boy!

Cowboy Trails made the pickup super easy and the driver was very friendly. Denise our guide was the nicest and very informative. We were lucky enough to only have a party of 2 plus Denise and another super friendly guest. Big John was a lovely horse for myself and Elvis was having a slow day, but was perfect for my friend. Highly recommend this experience. The ranch was very clean and the horses were in great shape and well taken care of.

I thoroughly enjoyed this ride. Riley our guide was great in explaining the how's and why's of handling your horse. I'm an experienced rider but that was helpful for the other guests on the ride. We conversed throughout the ride. Just for other guests to know there are bathroom facilities at the location where the ride starts and bottled water to purchase. The pickup from my hotel was extremely convenient. Only comment would be if you are afraid of heights the 2 hour ride travels very close to the edge of the rim at times. I believe there are other ride options that do not. The scenery in red rock canyon was beautiful and Riley stopped us a few times on the ride for photo ops. Highly recomend
